Motivation - how fast do you think I will lose weight?

I am doing the work out insanity and on top of that jogging. My goal is only to lose 15 - 20 lbs of fat, ultimately before my next school year, but if I can by June. I am running to get better for a race I signed up for in June. Do you think this motivation will get me to my desired shape/fitness level by June 20? I am 155 lbs, female.

Lose Weight the Right Way and Keep it Off

Recommended Answer:
It will require a lot of work but to lose 20 pounds if you do the workout everyday it will probably take 3-4 months. Now when I say 3-4 months that is including a proper diet. If you are still eating ice cream and candy then it will take over 1 year so its useless. Stay away from white bread, popcorn, butter. Also dont go too healthy because that isn''t always good. Hope that helped :)

  • Yes that looks very doable. I recommend taking a fat burner on non cardio days to control appetite

But you should take a non-stimulant every day. I recommend ursolic acid.

    good luck!
  • I understand you I''m 5''1" and 146.5lbs and didn''t even know I was fat until yesterday when my mom yelled at me in public. On top of that I wasn''t sure if she was just over reacting so I posted this along with my mesurments bust:42 waist:43 and hips:56 (all inches) and a bunch of boys teased me for my size so I''m with you. Use me as motivation. It seems you aren''t as fat as me but if you don''t try hard to change you could end up being called a "chubby heavyset girl" by your mother in public. So I''m with you sister.

How many days a week should I be going to the gym?

I am 18 years old, 5''9 tall, 135 pounds. I would like to get down to 115-120.

I am limiting my caloric intake and watching my diet but I am a little foreign to the workout portion of losing weight. (I have lost 60 pounds already just changing my diet...minimal exercise)

Right now, when I go to the gym, I do:
-30 min on the elliptical (says I burn 300 calories...but I don''t know if I should believe that)
-12 min jogging on track (this is really difficult for me to do...heavy breathing...exhausted after)
-20 min walking (to cool down)
-10 min strength type exercises (leg lifts, ab workouts, etc)

How many days a week should I go to help reach my goal? Does it matter if I take two "break" days in a row? I know for sure that I won''t be able to go Thursdays but I should be able to work in the other days. Also, ANY and ALL advice for changing my workout would be appreciated! (such as whether ellipticals are worth it?)

Eat fish, skinless chicken, liver and other seafood. Eat many whole grains such as brown rice and whole grain bread. Eat whole produce raw such as apples, broccoli and celery. Eat a lot of healthy food, and limit if not completely avoid all sugars, salts and processed foods. Oh you said unhealthy, well skinny people aren''t always pretty remember that. You need to be healthy for good looks.

  • Cut yourself open and start pulling things out.
  • Why would you want to do something unhealthy?
I know this isn''t the answer you wanted but honestly, your question pisses me off.
I had an eating disorder for 6 years, and it''s super annoying when girls ask for "unhealthy" ways to lose weight at any cost.
Harming yourself to lose weight means you either have a mental illness, or are just being very stupid.

The famous Cabbage diet?

How much weight would i loose if i stuck with the cabbage soup for 2 weeks drinking only water, unsweetened green tea,& eating uncooked veggies. And of course exercising minimum an hour a day.

Best Weight Loss Diet - Why Eating Healthy is a Far More Effective Way to Lose Weight Than Fad Diets

Recommended Answer:
The cabbage soup diet is a crash diet that is very good for a very fast and very temporary weight loss. In most cases you will regain all your lost weight.

If you lose weight too fast, as with crash diets, you will most likely regain it all.

Losing more than 2 lbs or 1 kg per week is too fast and you will regain it all in most cases.

How many calories should a 4'11 130 lbs girl eat daily in order to lose weight?

I'm aiming to lose about 25 pounds by the end of this summer. I am exercising, doing 30 minutes of cardio and then jogging for about an hour 5 times a week.

It's said that a girl of my height and weight should only consume about 1200 calories daily, but since it's also said that I need the energy to burn off the calories, which means I should consume even more, I don't know how much I actually need. Help?

Weight Loss - Are You Fighting With Yourself to Lose Weight?

Recommended Answer:
1200 is kind of low, you're very active I wouldn't deprive myself of nutrients knowing that. Go for around 1500 but keep those Cal's healthy ones. Calories coming from refined sugar (like 150 for 2 tiny coffee packets) is different than calories that also come with protein, vitamins, and healthy fats.

  • id say be active
an eat 10x your body weight from calories
  • 1200 calories a day are 500 calories a day fewer than it takes to maintain your current weight. The removal of 500 calories promises weight loss, though you will need to play with the numbers until you find the balance between enough energy and enough calories fewer. I'm losing about one pound per week, as i have no deadline and am content to go slowly. You would lose more than one pound per seek by removing 500 calories.
  • Overweight is always caused by incorrect eating habits.
Without correct eating habits, no matter what you eat or do, it is hard to reduce weight.

I would like to share my personal experience with you about reducing my body weight with a very easy way.
After follow "the ideas for food and drinks" mentioned on DEISO, I lose 20 pounds very easily and shortly. What I do is changing my eating habits only. On the other words, I did not go on a diet nor calculate calories intake, even not take exercise, I keep in shape till now. The most important thing is I regain health, my skin is tightened with shining bright color. If you are eager to take off your body weight, I recommend you to read the book of EDISO.
  • Regardless of height, a moderately active 130lb female can easily lose weight on 1500 calories per day.

  • I always find I burn more running than on eliptical or the bike
  • go to the store and buy the weight watchers brownies at the store. DUH!!!
  • A diet without exercise = eating. Your body needs to exercise.

I'm on a diet but gaining weight?

(Sorry, I know I just asked this but I only got 2 answers and I know that after 10 minutes or so, people won't answer it anymore.)

I am a girl teenager, 5'7", and around 155 lbs
I have been trying to lose weight for about 2 weeks now, but I'm actually GAINING weight.

I'm eating under 1,600 calories a day, I'm working out every day for at least an hour, I'm eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, I only drink water, and I'm even taking vitamins. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I know a lot of people could say that I'm gaining muscle, but I don't think that my workouts are vigorous enough that I would be. When I exercise, I do about 20+ push ups, sit ups, and the rest of the time I spend on a stationary bike while lifting 3 lb weights in both arms.

Every morning I get up around 6 AM, and eat a breakfast of peaches and a piece of toast. The rest of the day I eat carrots, bananas, peaches, apples, and lettuce. Other than that is usually just water and a turkey sandwich.

Since I have started trying to lose weight, I have gained 3 lbs. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong/ what I need to be doing? Much appreciated!

Best Exercise to Lose Weight For You

Recommended Answer:
First off it seems as if you aren't getting enough protein to be losing weight! You don't just need protein to gain weight you need it to lose weight. I like that you work out regularly but maybe change it to only 3-4 times a week. What is happening here is that you aren't getting enough protein to burn so by the time you start your work out, despite it being a short workout, there isn't anything to be burn, so you're actually gaining muscle instead, so it's not working out in your favor. You said you gained 3 pounds, that makes perfect sense!

I tell this to a lot of people who need help getting into shape. You need to eat smaller portions, ever 3 hours. Build up your metabolism. And don't just eat fruits and veggies, as healthy as that can be, you need protein( fish, lean meat, egg white, ect) for your body to understand what to burn. I really hope this helped. I lost 22 pounds doing all of this in 6 months, good luck to you! :D

  • even though your exercises aren't that vigorous you could still just be gaining muscle. also i would suggest eating more protein that might help with losing weight and gaining muscle

Foods to Lose Weight Healthily

Recommended Answer:
Losing 10 lbs a month is a good and safe target. Any faster weight loss is likely to be temporary only and in most cases you regain it all.

Running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.

You can always eat negative calorie foods for weight loss and below is a list of negative calorie foods that will boost your metabolism.

Negative Calorie Fruits:
apples
cranberries
grapefruit
lemons
mangoes
oranges
pineapple
raspberries
strawberries
tangerines

Negative Calorie Vegetables:
asparagus
beets
broccoli
cabbage (green)
carrots
cauliflower
celery
Chile peppers (hot)
cucumber
dandelions
endives
garden cress
garlic
green beans
lettuce
onions
papaya
radishes
spinach
turnips

These foods don't actually have negative calories but when you eat these foods raw or slightly cooked your body burns more calories digesting and processing them than what is in the food itself.

For a healthy weight loss add some of these foods to your diet each day. Most of them are full of healthy nutrients such as fiber, antioxidants and enzymes as well as vitamins and minerals.

  • Hi Dear,

I'm truly apologized for your unpleasant experience..Would you be able to give me opportunity to explain on how herbalife work?

There are several ways in which stress can contribute to weight gain. One has to do with cortisol, a stress hormone. When we’re under stress, the fight or flight response is triggered in our bodies, leading to the release of various hormones.

Metabolism -- Commonly people are gaining weight when they are stressed, you tend to eat more or sometime, you're eating the same amount of food as always. This is because, too much cortisol can slow your metabolism, causing more weight gain than you would normally experience. This also makes dieting more difficult.

Nowadays, we are searching for a quick bite in our fast-paced lifestyles. We grab drive-thru burgers and fatty fried foods on the go because healthy homemade meals aren't as accessible. So, Herbalife Formula 1, nutritious shake is complete to replace unhealthy meal.

With or without Herbalife product, our body needs enough water. Are you drinking enough water? If you're not, you could end up with excess body fat, poor muscle tone, digestive complications, muscle soreness -- even water-retention problems

"Proper water intake is a key to weight loss. If people who are trying to lose weight don't drink enough water, the body can't metabolize the fat adequately. Retaining fluid also keeps weight up."

Give Herbalife a second chance. I'm more than happy to be your personal coach (FOC) because my responsibility to help people for Herbalife.

How to lose weight? really quickly!!!?

Ok...im 5'8" and i weigh about 154 pounds...i wanna lose atleast 10 pounds...i dont really excercise, and i cant get myself to excercise either...im pretty lazy. :-/
Help?

Top Five Tips to Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
You can't lose weight quickly... in a healthy way I mean.

Firstly, cut out all the junk food, processed food, sugary foods, sugary drinks, white rice, white bread etc etc.

What you want is brown rice, brown bread, all the complex carbs. They're healthier for you as you break them down slowly so it provides you with a constant source of energy, whereas (i.e.) white bread would give you a sugar spike which isn't healthy.

Secondly, eat several meals a day. Don't eat too much at one time. Eat a balanced meal, enough veggies, proteins, carbs. Try not too eat too late either. If you're eating real late (i.e. midnight snack) be vary of what you're eating. You also don't want to eat out that much, never sure what they put in your food. READ NUTRITIONAL LABELS. You just gotta.

Thirdly is Sports/Activities. You gotta do them. Use up your energy, burn up the calories, stay healthy. I.e. go jogging. What's best though is interval training. What I mean by that is running for 1min, jogging for 1 min, repeat several times. This'll really get your heart pumping and'll shed tons of fat from you. Resistance training (working out) also burns lots of calories. You should mix up your exercises.

SLEEP IS IMPORTANT. You need at least 8 hours of sleep per day.

If you're really serious, you can count your calorie intake.DRINK PLENTY OF WATER! 4 Litres a day. Stress also directly & indirectly causes you to gain weight. So chillax if you're feeling stressed out :D

  • If you don't want on exercise, try walking. Anywhere you have to go walk there. Try to find something you like which will motivate you. Kickboxing is fun as well as spin class. Find something you enjoy so its not a chore
  • you really need to exercise even if when your walking round your house you jog on the spot lots and never stand still - this way it will take a long while though
  • Although I always prefer exercising there are ways other than that.
I think you really should consider exercising it is the best way to lose way (although not for everyone).
Most of the weight loss products are not that good and if they help you loose your weight they can ruin your health a bit.
I recently found a good way to loose weight. When you are lazy you can still do other things of course it's just that it is harder without exercising (in some cases impossible). Well you can check the video which recommends the way I lost my weight.
Just check the video first and if you don't like it just don't buy it. I just have no reasons to not recommend it, it's your choice in the end. http://fatlossfactorway.blogspot.com/
    Never forget considering exercising!
  • If you're trying to lose weight fast then you can lose at least 10 pounds in one week. All you have to do is not eat anything but fruit except bananas and exercise at least 5 times a day
  • okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:

Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a slow cooker /food steamer & rice/pasta cooker to make it easy on you)...(vegetables might not seem "tasty", like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink mainly water (green tea , juice & milk being the other options you drink). If you eat meat ,,use only steamed, baking or grilled methods for preparing fish or chicken.

also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.

    * you should lose about 10 lbs per month

is college the reason I am losing weight?

I am male 6 foot 1, 160 pounds. I don't know if that's considered underweight but I really think im skinny and I let it get to me and it makes me feel nervous and anxiety and whatnot, anyways it seems like whenever I start college I lose a couple of pounds and no matter what I do, I can;t gain it back. Then when summer comes I'll gain 3-5 more pounds. i don't know why it is because I'm not doing anything different. I'm eating the same if not more but I wonder if it might be stress? I've tried taking natural supplements that reduce anxiety and stress and it helps to an extent but I feel stressed and weighed down by all the homework and studying and going from class to class. what do you think and what can I do to solve it?

Tips on How to Lose Weight Fast for the New Year

Recommanded Answer:
Many people lose weight because of stress and that seems to be the case with you. Then when you aer on vacation from college you are less stressed and can gain the weight back. Maybe start a strength training/weight lifting routine. If you don't have access to a gym check here for strength training exercises you can do at home. Strength training/weight lifting is really helpful for a whole variety of reasons, including long term weight control, for building muscle, for toning, for improving appearance and posture, and for boosting your metabolism.

How can I loose weight with these problems?

I'm 13 and I'm not overweight, but I have some extra fat on me and it bothers me a lot........ I want to start working out but I easily loose motivation and become depressed.. I'm allergic to a lot of things and I have severe eczema which is a skin condition in which the skin gets very dry and itchy.. I often don't feel well for one reason or another.. (Severe eczema, extreme tiredness, severe depression, bad anxiety, and bad allergies) and not feeling well to the point I don't want to work out or feel well enough too. I've been eating and sleeping okay so I don't think that is a problem.. But when I do feel well I don't have motivation and feel depressed.. I also find it embarrassing to work out with others knowing.. So that puts it off for me too... I've been wanting to burn the fat off and become toned for a very long while now.. If I work hard I know I could start getting toned in about six weeks.. But I've been trying to get around to it for years and I just can't... Please help.. :/

Choose The Best Way To Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Soo I'm a community health major and I maintain a pretty good physique so I'd love to help :) -btw whatever anyone tells you, DIET is more important than exercise so if you're gonna slack on one, slack on exercise.

To stay full longer aim for high protein or high fiber.

List of things I eat:
-whole wheat everything- pasta, bread, popcorn, rice
-fiber one bars
-yogurt w granola, Greek
-tuna w light mayo
-string cheese
-strawberries (neg calorie)
- grapefruit, salad w everything, lt dressing, apples, oranges etc.
-cottage cheese
-hummus w wheat thins or other crackers
-green tea (boosts weight loss)
-soup
-while grain cereal w skim milk
- crackers w peanut butter
-lean cuisine flat bread pizza

Drink tons of water-keeps you full. Carry a water bottle around with you and just keep sipping and if you don't like water, add crystal lite or whatever.

Just some ideas! Really helped me maintain my weight. Calculate your BMR to see where you're at and TDEE and take away 500 calories from TDEE and you should be good to go on losing half a pound a week! I just love helping ppl look and feel better haha.

Yoga will help tone ya up and you can do it in the comfort of your own home.

How to get out of a weight loss plateau?

Currently I weigh 230lbs and have lost 60lbs. Since I hit the plateau, I have decreased my calorie intake to 1200 calories (made sure to keep track of all my meals so that I would not go over, I eat six meals throughout the day). I have also changed my workout routine to HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training) with 30 second rest in between. I spend approximately an hour and a half in gym doing HIIT 5 days a week. Still no weight has been lose after two months!!!

Top Five Tips to Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Wow dude, if that's seriously your routine you are asking for some major overtraining. I'm guessing you're pretty tired, hungry, and frustrated too? And not exactly getting stronger? I won't get into the physiology, but please, PLEASE try this (or at least read up on it):

1) Eat more. I call it the "all I can eat diet", although it is rather strict. Limit saturated fat to 20g a day, eliminate all processed sugar, and eat only whole foods and no more than 300g a day of carbs. Trust me, its tough to eat more than 2,500 quality calories which is still not enough to sustain high activity and your weight. Lay on the quality protein too, as much as you feel comfortable eating

2) REST. Spend 9 hours a day in bed, and just sleep. Sleep is just as important as food in recovery and weight loss; muscle is rebuilt and fat is burned during sleep. More muscle mass also = more calories burned. Be careful with your routine; Weight is not lost in the gym, it is lost in the kitchen. A strong workout is good, but perpetual soreness (especially with a length plateau or decrease in strength) leads to injury and unlosable fat retention.

I'm 6'2", 190 lbs, 11% bodyfat and I lift for 60 minutes 3 days a week. That's all. I've been at it a while, but I'm much stronger than my friends putting in 8 or 9 hours a week in the gym.

Basically, if you've hit a plateau that hard your body is in survival mode. It doesn't give a fuck about looking good, it's remembering the cave man days and thinks it needs to hold onto that fat to live. Eat quality food, restore your metabolism, rest, and rebuild. My best friend went through where you are now, twice, and it was horrible till he finally figured it out. That intensity is OK later on, but save it till you hit 10% bodyfat or so.

If you're serious you're welcome to message me on this one too.

Will this screw my diet up?

I have been dieting for 3 weeks. I set myself a calorie tracker. I was doin well and was beneath my calorie intake....til I noticed something. The tracker had all my info except it was set to male. I was eating 1500 instead of 1200. Im afraid I wont be able to lose the weight I need to lose by April. :c I wanted to lose about 30 but after that is it possible?

Tips on How to Lose Weight Fast for the New Year

Recommanded Answer:
Oops.. Haha. No, I'm sure you can still reach your goal by April if you now start following the diet based on recommended FEMALE calorie intake :) before you started you were probably eating more than 1500 cals daily anyway (I certainly do!) so you cut back even though you were following the male version of the diet. It might even be better in the long run because you'll have cut down gradually and given your body time to adapt. It will probably help in keeping the weight off.

  • Its allright your doing fine youll.loose it
  • No don't worry it's not a good idea to go too low. Personally I think 1500 cal a day is good to lose weight. If u also pair it up with a bit of exercise u should at least lose 2lbs a week.
  • If you go to the free diet and fitness site sparkpeople.com they can calculate how many calories you should be eating to lose the weight by April. It's a really great site and has lots of dieting, fitness and health support. I've lost about 51 pounds since joining a while back. good luck =)

Is Oatmeal Fattening as its a High Carb?

Is Oatmeal fattening as its a high carb? Some people say stay away from all oats when trying to lose weight. Other people say oatmeal is good for you and you can still lose weight. Who is right?

Best Exercise to Lose Weight For You

Recommanded Answer:
It's good for weightloss. :) The fiber in it keeps you full... add some fruit and nuts and you have an etremely nutitious breakfast. some people say to stay away from it, yeah, but there are loads of diferent ways to lose weight...such people usually steer away from all carbs, but to be honest, it's unneccessary. lots of models eat oatmeal for breakfast... Also, some days they eat scrambled or boiled eggs and a slice of wholewheat toast...the best foods to eat for weightloss are fruits and vegetabes, lean meat, eggs, wholewheat bread, oatmeal, muesli (4 servings of starches is enough) drink lots of water and snack on almonds or fruit :) Find your own magic number eg 150g carbs a day work for me :P AND don't obsess :L Lie's too short! Enjoy your food :L Goodluck :)

What is the fastest way to lose as much weight as possible in one week?

What can i do that will make me lose as much weight as possible (especially belly fat) what kind of exercises, foods...

Lose Weight, No Sweat!

drink plenty of water and eat fruit and veg each day, also if your exercising than carbs are important so bread, pasta, brown rice, potato, veg etc

Aerobic exercises include

Indoor

Stair climbing
Elliptical trainer
Indoor rower
Stairmaster
Stationary bicycle
Treadmill

Outdoor

Walking
Cycling
Jogging
Running
Cross-country skiing
Nordic walking
Inline skating
Rowing

Indoor or outdoor

Swimming
Kickboxing
Skipping rope or jump rope
Circuit training

  • chop off your leg
  • Well, try to eat salad everyday for lunch? (cut down on the dressings though)
Also, try skipping all the junk food lying around in your kitchen.
Don't starve yourself, it's not healthy at all and you won't have enough strength to do anything.
When you have free time try to do cardio. Jog or running helped me.

Perfect Ways To Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
You need to realize your brain and body are very sophisicated and won't do well on just one food, infact they will do quite badly. But the answer to losing weight is actually quite simple-
The Most Important Thing You Must Understand is you need to keep your program ENJOYABLE! If your brain or body find it too painful, no matter how strongly your mind is committed to working the program, eventually, (usually less than 6 weeks) your brain will make you quit! It won't tolerate pain.At the same time it's so very important that you allow your body and brain time to adjust to your new training. From tendons being stretched to complicated metabolic issues, to learning proper form, pace and routines your brain and body need at least 6 weeks to line up to really get things going.
Don't give much credit to the scale when first starting, it's normal to retain more fluids, it's your body's way of being ready for the next workout. Don't micro-manage your calories either. Sensible wholesome meals, the quality of the calories is more important than the quantity. Your diet should be ENJOYABLE too, and something you can develop and maintain as a habit.
Workout at your own pace, which in the beginning should be slower, focus more on how you move ( your form) as it's important to how your body will shape up and that you don't get injured. Just about any exercise is good and will work, walking, jogging, running, cycling but my favorite and number one choice for losing or gaining weight is weightlifting aka bodybuilding. If your a girl, don't worry that you'll get manly muscles, the average steriod-free female builds only a small amount of muscle each year. But that muscle is awesome! Because not only does it burn calories while your working and using them, and while they are repairing and replenishing themselves, but 24/ 7 they consume calories just to stay alive! Just try not to miss a single day of working out for the first 6 months without a real good reason, otherwise slacking off can become the habit. Other than taking your two scheduled days off per week. Rest is important, so get to bed at a decent time as well. Make sure you drink plenty of water everyday. Learn to drink water warm, so you can have it anytime/anywhere. Other than keeping it sensible and enjoyable, remember all the benefits you'll get from exercising and a decent diet. You'll sleep better, have better energy, breathing, moods, concentration, endurance, strength, self-confidence, and so much more. It's really the closest thing to magical powers each human has, so don't miss out! 45-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week is ideal, but by all means start with less if need be, again keeping it enjoyable is everything! One other piece of advice in this, and that's don't do situps! They don't work the muscle properly so growth is very doubtful, and they risk lower back and hernia injuries. If you must, which most ppl don't, do crunches. Most ppl don't need to worry about their abs, they are small muscles that do alot of work already, every time you move your upper body they work, as well as working during many of your other movements, so if your working your body they are getting theirs. The diet industry has hyped up abs so much, because they know most ppl will fail, because they are too painful and produce little to no results, which they hope will lead people to buying their junk products ( it's working, they've been doing it a long time) seeing your abs is a matter of having a low body fat percentage, even as a competitive Steroid-free Bodybuilder, I only do crunches starting a few weeks before a show, so I can flex my abs over and over with ease and to give them a little more definition, other than that, they're already built from my many years of training the rest of my body and the low body fat percentage I obtain for doing shows, is only for the show, I wouldn't consider it healthy to keep year round, and it would defiantly hinder any further muscle development. Remember the only thing your belly fat and abs have in common is location, other than that, they have nothing to do with one another, so don't burn yourself out working your abs, when it's your whole body that needs the workout and will produce the results you want.

Just start easy, give your body time to start providing you additional energy, keep learning more as you go, and before you know it, you'll have the body you've always wanted, with the loads of extra benefits I pointed out.

  • Not a good idea you can pass out from not eating
  • You'll lose all muscle and then you'll gain twice as much when you start eating again. Even if it's a little bit of food

How to lose fat on belly hips and thighs?

I want to lose weight but my main target areas are my belly, my hips and thighs (i know that's common).
what exercises are best to do this?!? my eating is fairly healthy (although i have a few slip ups here and there) but i want to know what I should do to help myself out in the gym?!

I've heard some say that crunches are bad for you but others say they are good?
Also my thighs have a bit of muscle in them already but i want to trim them down!

I am able to go to the gym everyday so any ideas???

Recommanded Answer:
jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

  • The best exercise there is is walking!
Walking can get rid of your thighs and hips but you have to understand that the belly fat is the most difficult fat to get rid of!
Personally i like setups, they work for me :)
  • Hve you heard of Rosemary Conley, she has a diet out called The Hip And thigh diet which is mostly low fat but people end up losing loads of inches off their bottom half, google her and read up on it, its worth a try
  • Basically exercises for belly hips and thighs will help you build muscle and increase your metabolism which in turn will speed up the fat burning process. Some simple exercises you can start doing today walking and biking.

One other trick to getting thinner thighs is to workout the abs. If you are wondering why, the abs muscles are so close to the thigh muscles that if you incorporate abs exercises that work the core you will start to see a change quicker with your hips and thighs exercises.

  • Try the Atkins diet, it where you cut out carbs completely which means no sugars. You just eat fish, and other meats (and vegetables). This should help you loose about 10 pounds in 2 weeks
  • Nicki Thank you a lot for giving everyone an extremely terrific opportunity to read in detail from this blog. It is always so awesome and also packed with fun for me and my office acquaintances to visit your web site at a minimum thrice every week to read through the newest things you have. And lastly, we're actually fascinated concerning the unique information served by you. Some 2 ideas in this post are without a doubt the best I have ever had.
  • The best exercises to lose your belly fat are walking and running as if you run daily for 60 minutes you will lose 700 calories (6 pounds in 1 month just from running) so you can get best results if you keep both healthy diet plan and doing exercises daily(running and going to gym).
