How do I get toned defined abs while building muscle?

I am 19 and a female. I weigh 133 and I am 5'5. I play basketball in college (DIII) and we workout, lift, etc but I did not get results I was hoping for. After season, I really focused on eating healthy and working out regularly on my own and still I have not seen results I picture in my mind. What should I do? Do I take certain supplements or something? What is the difference between bulking and just cardio and regular lifting? Should I bulk? I don't want to look like the Hulk, I just want toned defined muscles all over. Help!! I don't want to lose weight but FAT! Lower my body fat percentage..

No Matter What I Do, I Can't Gain Weight...And What Weight I Have I'm Loosing!!!?

Ok, So I'm at a little bit of a dilemma. I'm 20 years old, 5 foot 9, and 105 pounds (ON A GOOD DAY) and I'm about sick and tired of feeling inadequate and less of a woman because I'm thin. I wait tables so I do a moderate amount of running/walking around and I do some exercises once or twice a week, only for a short amount of time. (I had read somewhere that it can help you gain weight... and sofar none for me... go figure. I eat healthy, lots of salads and I eat the right amount of meat, veggies, fruits yada yada yada. (Literally, I have spent countless hours online reading about what I should, shouldn't eat to gain weight and stay healthy) On top of it all. I feel like crap. A lot. I'm loosing my hair, I'm tired all the flippin' time (even with 8-9 hours of sleep) I occasionally have stomach pains... like the kindof stomach cramps you got when you where in school and that p.e teacher made you run excessively and you had to hold you side to ease the pain? Yeah, I got those just laying down. Umm what else.. oh and I have headaches, a lot. I'm just aggravated because this has been an issue with me all my life and no doctor (in this area) can seem to figure out what the issue is. So ive been counting calories for a few weeks now in a attempt to loose weight and have been doing fairly well. Although today i really screwed up. Its embarrassing and complicated to explain so lets just say it ended with me having eaten half a pizza and more than half a tub of ice cream. I am very ashamed about what i ate and will not be doing it again anytime soon. My question is will what ive eaten today affect my weight loss? Will cutting my daily calories in half for 6 months have adverse effects on my academic performance?

I realize it''s somewhat ironic that I''m asking this question on here. However, I just read (in my psychology textbook) about a study on semistarvation in which men were given only half their required calories for a period of 6 months, and they stabilized at 75% of their normal weight.

I would like to try this. I like to experiment with fasting, but this seems more interesting because it''s so long-term. I know to expect a 29% decrease in metabolism, but I will take that into account when I begin eating normally again.

So I am looking to start going to the gym again. I plan to go to the gym 4 days a week and working my way up to 6. i usually eat very healthy and keep to 1500 cal a day roughly but i had a binge today i know it was my own fault . i was just wondering how much weight could i possible gain from this much food .
