No Matter What I Do, I Can't Gain Weight...And What Weight I Have I'm Loosing!!!?

Ok, So I'm at a little bit of a dilemma. I'm 20 years old, 5 foot 9, and 105 pounds (ON A GOOD DAY) and I'm about sick and tired of feeling inadequate and less of a woman because I'm thin. I wait tables so I do a moderate amount of running/walking around and I do some exercises once or twice a week, only for a short amount of time. (I had read somewhere that it can help you gain weight... and sofar none for me... go figure. I eat healthy, lots of salads and I eat the right amount of meat, veggies, fruits yada yada yada. (Literally, I have spent countless hours online reading about what I should, shouldn't eat to gain weight and stay healthy) On top of it all. I feel like crap. A lot. I'm loosing my hair, I'm tired all the flippin' time (even with 8-9 hours of sleep) I occasionally have stomach pains... like the kindof stomach cramps you got when you where in school and that p.e teacher made you run excessively and you had to hold you side to ease the pain? Yeah, I got those just laying down. Umm what else.. oh and I have headaches, a lot. I'm just aggravated because this has been an issue with me all my life and no doctor (in this area) can seem to figure out what the issue is. And I'm so tired of being told "to eat more" I'm always shoving my face and I'm tired of being so full, it almost hurts. Here is a little side note: I had my first born a year ago, and when I was pregnant I had soo many issues and no one could figure out why, or take the time. I had heart palpitations by my second trimester, gestational diabetes (keep in mind I was 100 lbs before I got pregnant so that shouldn't of even been an issue) excessive swelling, again with the hair loss.. AND NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHY. I apologize for the excessive ranting, I just need someone to point me in the right direction. Obviously this isn't normal but I have yet to find a doctor who would take the time... just tell me "you need to eat more" ..sigh...

How to Lose Weight With Shift Work

The first thing is to have yourself looked at by a doctor who will take the time to see if you're diabetic still. Just because you had gestational diabetes doesn't mean you're not still having it. Your symptoms could be diabetes that isn't controlled. For that you'll need a first thing in the morning appointment, and you'll need to make sure not to eat starting the night before so you can tell the doctor "I'm fasting, so take my fasting bloodwork now, please."Other possibilities are Chron's disease or one of those digestive ones like you can't digest phenylalanine (an amino acid). Although health agencies tell people to "run to the doctor as soon as you have signs of appendicitis" in reality, most people's appendix has burst before anyone diagnoses the real problem, so you should suggest that the health of your appendix be directly determined. For the moment I'm assuming the hair loss is because you're too skinny and it will come back, but if you gain weight and it continues, I'd start suspecting something weirder like there's radon in your house. Radon testers are easy to find. The second thing is to ask yourself, did this start at a certain point in time? Maybe after you'd travelled out of the country? Or even spent a lot of time on a farm or near horses, or do you have feral cats near your house that you feed? Most doctors don't ever check people for worms in the USA, but there are types of worms that are fairly common for both the northern states and southern ones. And they can affect humans, though not usually as bad as you are describing. Because no doctor I've ever met even takes the idea seriously, and deworming things are over the counter, even the ones for humans, just buy some pyrantel from someplace like amazon.com and see if taking a dose of it helps you out or has no effect at all. Feel free to repeat the dose weekly for 3-4 weeks to end the life cycle, unless you have negative effects. There are lots of other dewormers, but many are designed for horses which are much larger than humans, so calculating the dose is tricky. In any case, no matter what the verdict of the above advice, you can definitely benefit from some kind of gentle probiotic like yogurt of kefir to help your tummy get back on track. There's no lactose in things like that as long as they say "live active cultures" you're safe eating it, even if you can't usually eat milk.
