Will I lose weight quickly if I do the exercise bike 3 times a day?

I'm a 16 year old girl, and I weight about 118 - 120 pounds (It changes when I wake up, eat, exercise, and poo and all). I'm 5.1 ft tall, and my waist measurement is about 28 inches. The thing is, if you see me in clothes, you wouldn't say at all that I'm fat, but if you see me naked, then you'll see that I have a little bit of a stomach and somewhat big butt and thigh. Not extremely though. My goal is to lose at LEAST, AT LEAST. 10 - 15 pounds for now. Then I'll see how my body looks and see if I'll have to continue. The thing is, I've always eaten healthy for my whole life, thanks to my wonderful mother :). As for exercise, I've got enough to keep my weight. However, ever since grade 9 started, I've been sitting down, doing homework a lot more, and doing less of going out and working out. And due to added stress from school and my life during that year, I've been eating more. And yes, I do need a lot of healthy food, but from time to time I'll sometimes go to the cafeteria and buy stuff :s. However, this summer, I've been eating more vegetables and fruits, eating less carbs (But enough to give me enough health and energy), and sitting down less, and sleeping more. I'm now on the bike at least 3 hours a day (One hour before lunch, before dinner, an hour after a short break from dinner). I also do a bit of leg ups, and I do hula hoop once in a while. I try to eat short meals, and then eat an fruit or drink water or 2% milk in between them. I sleep at 10 pm, and wake up at abut 7 or 8 am. Also, at eating, I'll try not to sit down until an hour as passed, because I heard somewhere that sitting or sleeping right after eating makes it easy for you to gain weight. I'll help do the dishes, or walk around, or stuff like that. Is this good enough? Or do you have any suggestions? Please tell me if so, Remember, my target is to slim down my butt and my legs, and to slim my stomach just a bit. Thanks!

How to Use Free Weights to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatlosssfactorr.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

  • Although cardio is good, what would help you look good naked is to do toning excercises. This helps me a lot:-50 squats (this gets your heart rate up as if you were jogging) -25 crunches-plank for 1 minSide plank for 1 min. (Do each side)-25 lunges & repeat this twice more. If you can't handle doing it twice more then do it once more. That takes me about 35 minutes a day to do with resting a minute in between each workout. Oh and drink tons of water if you do workout, it'll help your muscle stay hydrated and will help you not be so sore!
  • You can try going to the gym for the treadmill to slim down your legs. And you should also do lots of stretching exercises! Stretching is one of the best ways to train your flexibility and makes your stomach more stronger. Also, you might also want to go swimming, because it uses every part of your muscle. It is also very good for your body!!! You are very committed! Keep up with the good work!!
  • Try power walking or swimming for the tummy area, Good Luck

What would be a good weight for me in your opinion?

Right now I am like 130 if I had to guess. I'm 5'2. It's hardly over the BMI at all. But my breasts are 36c and im pretty sure at least a cup of it is fat and my stomach is kind of too chubby for me and I know my weight isn't really unhealthy I just don't like it. Should I lose weight? If so, how many pounds should I go down to to look fit? I have wide hips too and thighs. It's like all my weight focuses on the front of my tummy and lower sides. So it's difficult for me to look proportionate. I just dislike my body these days it and I need advice fixing itif this makes no sense I'm sorry I'm just so tired and I cant stop thinking ;_;

How to Lose Weight in the Feet

Here is your ideal weight range (I had to guess at your age) --> http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=16&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=2&cheightmeter=180&x=0&y=0 .You're okay the way you are. However, if you want to try body sculpting, read the following. We are all 99% nature (genetics) and 1% nurture (changeable). Here is what we can do to sculpt our bodies.1. Add fat - Adding fat for all but the extreme ectomorph is a simple matter of eating too many calories over a long period of time. We have no control over where the fat will be deposited on our body.2. Lose fat - Fat loss must begin with diet. Exercise can help but no exercise can make someone lose fat if they eat too many calories. We have no control over where the fat leaves our body.3. Add muscle - Adding muscle size requires a commitment to very hard strength training (anaerobics). We don't get big muscles from aerobic ("cardio") exercise. It only comes very slowly from working out against substantial resistance.4. Lose muscle - There is no healthy way to lose natural (genetic) muscle. We can, however, allow our muscles to atrophy or grow smaller by not using them. We can also "waste" muscle by starving them of nutrition. These, of course, are not a healthy options but they are the only way to make lean muscle smaller (less volume). That's it. That's all we can do without surgery. It's unfortunate you neglected to mention your age. However, assuming you're a teen, you need to work on your body image more than you need to work on your body. Is it normal to not lose or gain weight?

I've been thin my entire life, but I also love food, so I tend to eat alot. I never gained from it, so I figured it was just my metabolism. In fact, I have stayed around the same weight since I was 13 or 14.Well, last year was my first year in college and I thought things were going to change. For a few months I was barely eating because I didn't like the school food, had no car to get food, and was too lazy to eat more than like crackers or small portions of soup lol. I thought my metabolism was going to get messed up, but I did not LOSE any weight. When my friend got her car, we started going out to eat alot and her mom would cook for us. My friend noticeably put on a few pounds, and I thought I would too since I figured I messed up my metabolism, but I stayed the SAME weight! Why? Is it still thanks to my metabolism, or does my body want to stay that weight?

How to Lose Weight Fast at Home

Recommended Answer:

I suppose it could be because your system has reached a nearly minimal weight and your metabolism is too fast to let you gain weight. If you don't have fat then you won't lose weight (much) and if you eat with a fast metabolism then you would have a harder time gaining weight. But I am not a doctor, so I couldn't give you a straight answer

why is it so hard for me to lose my belly fat, i exercise and eat healthy?

i''m 19, female.
currently weigh 140lbs standing at 5''2
so I have over weight for my height..
i used to be 120 2 years ago, and im trying really hard to get back to my old weight
I eat very small portions, breakfast i''ll eat oatmeal with some fruit or a fried egg (depending if i have time or not)
lunch and dinner usually goes (a small salad, fruit, salmon, avocado/tomatos/onions) and its in very small portions. I don''t drink anything else besides water.
I work out every other day, doing 40 min of cardio, and I do squat training and ab work outs.
But i don''t seem to be getting ANY results. although its only been two weeks, I don''t feel or see ANY progress, I haven''t lose even one pound yet and its just so discouraging and i don''t know what i''m doing wrong. I haven''t eaten this healthy my whole life and Im always hungry but i still fight it. any tips? pleaseeee!!

Dance To Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
If you keep doing what your doing one day you will wake up and realize the weight just dropped, sometimes that''s how it works. Skip the fried egg, boil a bunch of eggs and keep them in the fridge, then you can eat them when you are hungry. Eat apples, bananas, celery carrots. Drink lots of water, and don''t be afraid to throw down a cup of coffee in the morning. Does help curve the appetite!

  • Drink green tea and walk or jog every day.
  • You probably don''t see a difference because you see yourself every day. It is a possibility, when I lost the 10 pounds, I saw no difference. People have told me I have gotten skinnier though. Maybe you aren''t losing even a pound yet because you''re gaining muscle. Squats are very good for you, they also have you gain muscle easily though. At least for me, I got muscles in my legs after about 2 months of them. They can help make your legs skinnier, and bigger. Skinnier from side, bigger from front though if you have muscles. They weigh more than fat too (muscles), so that might be why. If you''re doing crunches, you might want to stop. Those damage your spine. You can''t spot reduce, you have to lose weight overall. Good luck!
  • When your hungry your body holds on to fat. Try weight lifting and less cardio and eat more food so that your not hungry but eat healthy food so instead of fried egg..do boiled egg and take the yellow out...drink a lot of water and try apple cider vinegar. Get Jillian Michal 6 week.6 pack. :-)
  • Over the course of two weeks it would be a miracle to see results- you''d really only lose about 1-3 pounds, maybe a bit more which isn''t enough to really SEE results. It might be visible to others but to the person who is actually losing the weight it''s really hard to see. A couple years ago I lost a lot of weight however I didn''t notice- I thought I looked the same but people kept telling me how much thinner I looked.

Just hang in there. It takes a bit before you really see the results of your hard work, and it''s worth it!
  • here is a list of foods you should be eating

tuna, salmon, chicken breast, lentels, brown rice, rye bread, yams oatmeal, chicken breast, beef, eggs
    nuts, fruits,

and you need to workout 4-5 days a week
    30-40 mins of cardio
an 60 mins of weight training
  • theres 3 possible reasons:

    1. your workout isnt intense enough
    2. your diet is wrong (you''re either eating too little or too much)
    3. you''re not getting enough rest

most of the time, the problem for people would be their diets. many think they''re eating how they should but most arent dieting correctly

What''s the Quickest Way to Lose Weight? - In One Week

Recommended Answer:
If you want to put on weight, you should work out, to insure that you
put on muscle and not fat. Healthy weight gain, just like healthy
weight loss, takes time and requires a conscious effort to apply good
habits.
Recommended Ways to Gain Weight
Have meals with the right balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and the
right kinds of fat (such as unsaturated and monounsaturated fats,
olive oil, canola oil, pistachios, almonds and walnuts). Heinemann
suggests the following ratio: 60%-70% carbohydrates, 10%-15% protein,
and a small amount of fat.
Eat foods higher in calories, vitamins, and minerals, as opposed
to higher in fat or sugar. Pack more nutritious calories in each
serving. For example, you may add grated cooked eggs to mashed
potatoes, ground chicken to soups and gravies, cheese in casseroles,
eggs, and soups, and nonfat dried milk in soups, shakes, milk, and
mashed potatoes.
If you get too full too fast, try having more high-calorie foods or
slices of foods as opposed to consuming the whole thing (raisins
versus grapes, granola and Grape Nuts versus corn flakes, mango slices
versus the whole mango).
Limit drinking beverages to a half-hour before and after a
meal.
Drink mixed juices (apple/berry, peach/orange/banana as opposed to one
juice beverages) for a higher calorie intake. With moderation, you may
add in good fat sources to meals such as nuts, avocado, olives, and
fatty fish (salmon and mackerel).
Snack in between meals. Nuts, dried fruits, and yogurt
are good options, but it''s also important to find nutritious foods
that you will enjoy. Have a nutritious snack before bedtime, such as a
peanut butter sandwich.

  • drink milk
  • I would advise healthy and working out. To find out more information about nutrition recommendations, go to http://www.choosemyplate.gov . You don''t have to work out every day, but you should still exercise every day for about 60 minutes. Nicotine patches may help with the smoking.
  • Protien shakes if not combind with the right amount of exercise they can be very bad for you..
They well make you FAT not strong!
  • Got advanced bodybuilding, nutrition and training experience. make nutrition schedules, workout schedules, workout exercise routines, what supplements are good and not and how to dosage them etc. choose the right way you loose weight, get bigger muscles, get stronger, stay healthy etc

Quickest Way to Lose Weight - How Lose Weight Quickly

Recommended Answer:
Take the first weeks to start slowly. Instead of taking the car to some where close by, walk there and forget elevators, take the stairs. Then start running/jogging [do you have a treadmill?] if not, just KEEP MOVING!

I like to do pushups, squats and jump rope. I hate going out when it''s hot so I can do this at home in front of the tv even. Also, I bought some tension bands for exercise and they''re good for resistance exercises [think weights w/o the heaviness]

As for food, don''t think of it as a diet, just healthier options. Eat grilled chicken, veggies [remember the greener, more colorful the better]. For salads, keep it interesting and mix it up. It''s all about experimentation to avoid getting into a rut. I like eating lentils, beans, grains, etc. Also avoid soda, clear/dark, whatever, it''s bad for you. Drink water, lots of it.

Is there a friend you can start doing all this with? It''s really good if you have somebody that lives close to you who can go through this for motivation/support. Or you can email me!

As with anything, just hang in there but don''t let this completely take over your life. Keep in mind that the best ''makeover'' is your attitude. Be confident in 8th grade and don''t let anybody get you down. Good luck!

  • Blueberries and berries boost ur metabolism and any fruits are good and running will burn alot of calories depending on how much u wiegh u should download this app "myfitnesspal" it could tell u how much u will burn for 10 min or more haha hopefully this helped :D
  • nah son
  • without exercise you wont lose much weight
  • eat some fruits and veggies, also some fiber, makes a fruit salad with yogurt and stuff make some protein shakes i had one before that taste like snickerdoodle (look up recipes, my mom always made them for me) im 15 i weigh 114-120 im pretty lazy but i have a fast matabalism, i use to eat whatever i want now i cant so im starting too work out and when i do for 2 days i end up beig able to run really fast amd more fit, its different for everyone but those foods will help. try jogging and walking for 15 or maybe 20 mins and then at the end run as fast as you can (strech before all of this) then when you get home wait for a while then start doing some sit up and push up and stay in a push up position as long as you can. it will help if i did this for a week id loose alot of weight because my matablism but im lazy :D . and drink 8 ounces of water and orange juice. good luck hun.!
  • Well since you''re still growing you should be eating mostly whatever you want but the foods to stay away from would be like: fastfood of any sort, packagedsnacks, most sweets, and greasy foods. These are all unnatural foods to your system and contain unhealthy additives. Foods to eat would be anything fresh, green, and hand prepared. Meat without sauces will usually be fine but stay away from greasy, fried, or charred meats (Really charred meat is cancerous but not weight related). Eat what you consider healthy and don''t be afraid to eat anything. Eat whatever you like but just be conscious of if its healthy or not. Whatever you do, do not be bulimic. Exercises like jogging, running, stairclimbing, etc, will help your fat burning but will most likely cause you to gain weight (muscle that is!)

How can I lose 15 pounds this month?

I''m fed up with my body. I used to be 105 pounds but now I''m like 109. I''m 5 feet tall and I have fat rolls all over my stomach. I hate being fat and I want to lose at LEAST 15 pounds. I''m a vegetarian, and I play sports(basketball, cross country) and I''m assuming I burn around 400 cals a day. Actually, I think I lost fat but gained muscle, but the fat rolls are still there and it''s really gross. I''m afraid whenever someone play punches me or grabs my arm they''ll feel my fat ripple up and down.... I''m really insecure and losing a few pounds would boost my self esteem. I lost around 10 pounds already, but I feel as if I don''t do something now I''ll gain it back. Does anyone have any advice for me? And my stepmom is 5''0 too and she claims she''s 120 pounds but she looks like she weighs less than me and it makes me feel worthless and fat. It''s like a competition between me and her in my eyes. She pushes her food away, skips breakfast and lunch a lot, eats fruit, vegetables, special k... And accuses ME of being anorexic when its HER. I just want to lose weight! Does anyone have advice? (: thanks.
Um- it''s an inside joke. Cupcakes from my little pony? :/

Should i rest after 4 days of cardio?

I''m a runner in general but i haven''t actually in a while and i was amazed at how fast you can get out of shape! I''ve been trying to lose a little weight i''m like 136 and i would like to be around 125. I''ve been running for the past four days and i wanted to know if it''s best for me to not do much today.

Lose Weight For Free Fast And The Foods That Help You Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Generally I would say yes taking a day off to rest is a good idea, but that really depends on how much or how far you''ve been running these past 4 days. If you''re only running for 15 minutes a day then taking a day off isn''t going to do much for you. If you''re running for 30 minutes to an hour (or +) a day, then of course, yes, take a rest day. I agree with the other posters. If you want to lose weight, drink lots of water, eat non processed foods, exercise 3-5 times a week, with 3 days being focused on cardio-running/walking/cycling/yoga, and the other two being focused on muscle building. You can always add running days when you feel three days a week is too easy.

Good luck and happy running :-)

  • You ideally should alternate cardio with weights or resistance training so 3 days of cardio in a week ought to be sufficient. I''m not sure if you are a gym patron or not but fitness centres will let you know but if you''re doing this on your own then you might like to cut the cardio to 3 times a week & do either weight, resistance or endurance training (cycling) for the other days
  • Resting is the best choice so far but eating healthy will make you drop weight the quickest.. run 2-3 times a week say for instance mon then wed or mon wed & fri give yourself a break here and there dont over do it....remember 6-8 glasses of water a day..im a football player for highschool and they take that seriously so i would know....:)) hope i was able to help
  • I listen to my body....for the most part, as I pushed a 9 miler after already running 20 miles in three days but for the most part I say let your body be your guide. If your legs feel good then go out, the body tells you to rest unlike me I ignore those signs but I don''t suggest for you to do so.

How many calories should a 13 year old girl eat?

I'm 13. I weigh 110 and am 5'6" I am a dancer and have class 4 1/2 hours a week and practice on my own everyday as well. I don't want to know so I can go on a diet. It's because I'm not eating enough calories a day.

Choose The Best Way To Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
I would say 1800-2200. you get so much exercise. you need to have enough calories to stay energized and alert. Be sure to get plenty of whole grains, vegetables and fruit in your diet and lean protein such as chicken, turkey and fish.

  • That is actually not a bad weight at all. Usually to stay on par, the average human needs to consume at least 2200 calories. You can go over, but make sure what you eat is healthy.
  • Round 1500
  • around 1800

Why am I not gaining weight?

I've been working out and eating 2500-3000 calories a day for about two to three weeks now and have seen absolutely no increase in weight. In fact, I was waking up to about 129 pounds a week ago, and now I am only waking up to 127. This is very depressing, because I am actually putting effort into this and seeing absoluteness no progress. I would think I'd gain at least a pound by now.

I would really like to gain about 10 pounds before college starts up in the fall, so any help would be great.
I have not been having any protein shakes lately, although I have the stuff for them. Basically at the gym I try to work out "moderately". I don't do any cardio, and I don't try to stay longer than 30-40 minutes to burn the least amount of calories possible. During that time though, I try to get a good work out.

Fastest Way to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
It seems one of the 3 things is not in order. Either you are not sleeping well and long enough, not eating enough calories everyday or you are not doing the right workout. In order to gain 1 pound of weight each week, you will need to master all 3 of it and do it diligently everyday. The starting part can be tedious and mentally draining so here are some of my personal experiences that has worked for me.

Let us start by talking about what constitutes a high calorie diet. The main thing involved is to eat a lot of carbohydrates rather than increasing your fat and protein intake during your 3 meals. Increasing your carbohydrate intake will enable your body to use the energy more efficiently rather than rely on breaking down muscles and burning fat to get you the energy you need. You will get your protein and your fat from my next diet tip which is to drink 500ml of milk in between your meals. Start with 500ml first and increase it every week until you have gained a pound or two of fat. Once you are there, you can start maintaining the amount of milk you drink and focus on the other two things which is sleep and workout.

Next, we will touch on the easiest thing to do of all in my opinion and that is to sleep. People who struggle to get enough sleep daily will find that they will not gain muscle mass and contrary, will lose weight. If you are looking to gain weight I highly suggest you to do this experiment first to know just how much sleep you need. Start by going to sleep by yourself without the influence of alcohol, sleeping pills or what nots to make you sleepy. Sleep through the night and wake up by yourself in the morning. If you can achieve this without any distractions or any drugs or alcohol, you just have to keep repeating the same amount of hours everyday. Simple.

Lastly, so many people find it hard to gain muscle mass and weight just because they do the wrong workout or jump from one workout to another before exhaustively utilize what is planned out. If you are starting out to gain weight or muscle mass I strongly encourage you to download the program off http://gohforth.com. That program has not only worked for me for years, but is also something I teach my paid clients.

  • Because its only been 3 weeks. Keep trying!
  • because its still very early.. 3 weeks is nothing at all
dont worry.. u will get there soon
    keep working harder an harder
    try whey protien an glutamine
  • How much are you exercising and what types of food are you eating? Since you weigh about 130 pounds, you burn about 1300 calories by simply being alive and breathing - this does not include exercise. If you work out vigorously, you could easily be burning another thousand or so calories, meaning that you're only adding about 300 calories to your daily diet. A pound is roughly 3500 calories - if you're only having a net gain of 300 calories a day, it'd take you over a week to even get close to gaining a single pound.

Aim to eat 3000 calories a day - you should be eating every three hours in order to keep a constant supply of food going. Focus on foods rich in protein, such as eggs, dried fruits, nuts, greek yogurt, etc. Eat plenty of pasta and whole grain bread for carbs for exercising and continue snacking ALL THE TIME. Make sure you drink at least one protein shake a day. Good luck!

how long will it take to lose 30 pounds?

so, a little about me: 20 years old, female, 5'2'', 145 pounds, 27% body fat, doctor says my ideal weight is between 115 and 120 pounds, so I'm looking to lose around 30 pounds, preferably as soon as possible. here's my basic diet/exercise plan:

*1,200 calories per day, vegan diet
*1 T apple cider vinegar before each meal
*protein shake/smoothie for breakfast and dinner (one made with spinach, berries, banana, almond milk, and vegetable-based protein powder, the other made with berries, soy milk, flax seeds, and soy protein powder)
*salad with lots of veggies, some beans, and olive oil and vinegar for lunch
*2 snacks a day: apple + almond butter, veggies and hummus
*2 C green tea per day
*supplements including raspberry ketones, white kidney bean extract, Tonalin CLA, and a multivitamin

exercise:
*1.5 hours of cardio 5-6x a week (treadmill, elliptical, bike, Zumba, etc)
*30 minutes weight training 6x a week (3 days upper body, 3 days lower body, 1 day rest)
*1 hour yoga dvd on my rest day

so...how long will it take to lose around 30 pounds? also, about how many dress sizes would I lose?

thanks!

Top Five Tips to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Probably 2 months. You would loose more inches than pounds

  • I'm not a girl so this may/may not help but I'll say it because I think it's for everyone.
An average person needs 2000 calories to maintain their body weigh.
    1 pound of fat = 3500 calories
Drop the protein shake from your diet, you're not trying to build muscle (muscle weighs more than fat by the way)
Fruits may seem good but they do have a lot of sugar so be careful with them.
Tea is very good but be careful with the sugar you add and use non-fat milk. I don't remember the details but 2% milk isn't really 2% fat, it actually has 50% fat or something like that so just use complete non-fat.
Don't do heavy weight training, you need more cardio and use light dumbbells while doing it.
Not too sure about almond milk, I think almonds generally have lots of fat but maybe the milk is different, check up on that.

So yeah, that's pretty much everything I got from your list. Using the information, you can probably calculate how much you'll lose a week (it looks to me you'll lose about 2 pounds a week). This is all from my years of planning my workouts but never actually doing them (I am such a procrastinator ...)
  • Lose the unapproved supplements. I know your doctor didn't recommend the cider vinegar, protein shakes, ketones, bean extract, or CLA.
80% of weight loss is diet.
You can eat a healthy diet and lose weight.
You can eat a healthy diet and exercise and lose more weight.
You can exercise and eat a poor diet and not lose and even gain weight.
A good healthy diet high in fiber, lean meats, eggs, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, antioxidant foods, healthy beverages and low in added sugar and salt help people lose weight, lower cholesterol, increase energy, improve brain function, lower blood pressure, reduce cancer risk and have a more positive lifestyle!
You need to eat a lot more food and a lot more fiber!
Diets that exclude foods from any food group are fad diets and do not lead to permanent weight loss or solve any other health issues.
First, try to kick your fiber intake to 40 grams of both soluble and insoluble fiber.
Whatever you do, get your fiber from your food, not from a jar.
Fruits and vegetables have good fiber in them. A high fiber diet increases the metabolism.
Try a breakfast cereal with at least 20% of recommended daily allowance of fiber in it. They are usually low in sugar so there is a double benefit. Blueberries or raspberries on top add more fiber and antioxidants. But fresh or frozen, not the kind in syrup. Oatmeal with berries or a bit of fresh honey is also good.
Raw nuts are a great source of fiber, healthy fats, and antioxidants. Avocados are the best.
Lots of beans, peas, and grains are high fiber. Whole grain breads. Fiber kicks up the metabolism so you actually burn more calories. These foods will give you more gas in the beginning but if eaten daily, the bacteria in the digestive tract will elevate lowering the gas output.
This will get you on the path for a healthy daily bowel movement. This helps clean the system and aids healthy digestion. A high fiber diet reduces transit time - the amount of time it takes food from when it is eaten to when it is expelled. This reduces toxicity in the system both from internally produced, ingested, and external toxins.
I know it goes against everything you've heard or read but eating lots of the right foods will actually help you lose weight!
Next, take an age appropriate basic daily multivitamin. Don't look at your multivitamin as nutrition but more as an insurance policy. Think of it as filling in the gaps in your daily diet as opposed to a primary source of nutrients.
You have to drink lots of water to be healthy. But you can disguise it. Fill your glass all the way full with ice before pouring low sugar beverages. Try iced green tea with a splash of orange juice in it for sweet. More antioxidants. Add lemon juice to water for flavor. Slice up a cucumber and float it in pitcher of water. Gives it salty fresh taste. But you must drink up to 100 oz of water daily to help your body get rid of waste and the natural toxins.
Last, you need to get 8-9 hours of quality sleep depending on your age. All recent sleep studies report a connection between poor sleep patterns and weight gain. This includes going to bed as close to the same time every night including weekends. Most of us stay up late Friday and Saturday night and it throws us off.
You must combine a healthy diet with exercise to multiply the benefit. Whether an hour a day in the weight room or just a 30 minute brisk walk every day, the added benefit of a regular exercise program really do increase and accelerate healthy weight loss.

I lost 30 pounds in 5 months by spending my money at the grocery and gym and have kept it off for over two years. Less than 3% of people that attempt weight loss lose it and keep it off for two years. It is not easy. It is a lifestyle change.
    Good luck and good health.

Cellulite is hard to get rid of. It will probably be less noticeable, but not gone completely.

Fastest Way to Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Believe it or not, you can actually lose weight by getting regularily, at least eight hours sleep nightly; drinking lots of water (8 x 8oz glasses daily) and getting at least 30 minutes brisk walking three or more times a week. Combine that with avoiding junk food, consuming at least three square meals a day, and you will be amazed at the results.
To help with this, consult with your doctor to determine what three "square" meals should consist of.
I did it, and lost a few lbs weekly.
Good luck

What motivates you to work out/eat right/lose weight?

i grew up in a family that talked about how good it was to eat right and exercise, but then got all negative when it came down to actually doing it. we're all overweight. i've never liked exercise, and i love junk food. i'm finding it hard to pass up a bagel in the morning to a bowl of oatmeal, and getting into the gym is a weird half-negative, half-positive experience that i sometimes avoid. i am currently at my heaviest, being almost 60 lbs. overweight. my question to all of you is, what do you do to keep yourselves motivated to work out and eat right? i'm sick of being overweight and i just need some pointers that will keep me in the gym and putting the right food in my body, but the desire doesn't seem to be enough to keep me on track.

How long does it take to replenish blood after it's been donated?

And how many calories do you lose by donating blood (just curious)?

Lose Weight As You Get Older - Ezine Articles

Recommanded Answer:
You don't lose anything in the long run. Blood volume takes about 24 hours to return to normality, red blood cells are usually one or two months. The only disadvantages are very temporary, slight light handedness, slightly bruised arm (not too bad if you put enough pressure on it when they take the needle out), that sort of thing. It's been known for people to faint but pretty rare. I donated at about 8pm and felt ever so slightly woozy afterward (and bear in mind I was right at the lowest weight allowed to donate) but by the next morning I felt absolutely normal.

  • You don't lose calories by donating blood lol you just lose blood. And it should be normal again in a couple days
  • Replacement of lost volume begins within minutes following donation, as the body recruits tissue fluid into the vasculature. Lost red cell mass is replaced by the bone marrow within 4-6 weeks.
  • not sure the number of calories but it took me a good long time to replenish blood the last time i did it, i got really sick

is this dinner healthy for weight loss?

i've been trying to stick to a pretty regular diet but i was wondering if the salad i eat usually every day is doing the trick. it's a pretty large bowl of mesculun lettuce (probably a good three handfuls) with sliced onions, peppers, only a few bleu cheese crumbles, tomato chunks, and oil and balsamic vinegar for dressing.

4 Simple Tips On How To Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
It's not bad, but where's your protein? Protein is very important for people trying to lose weight because it helps feed your muscles and makes you feel fuller. Add a 4 ounce chicken breast (baked or poached) and maybe another vegetable that you like and it will be the perfect dinner. Good luck!

If you had a fast metabolism do you always hAve one

I got anorexia and my metabolism slowed very badly. Before anorexia I had a SUPER fast metabolism(like I could eat like a big one and medium fry from wards and wouldn't do nothing!) but I took it for granted and started to gain and then lost too much and got addicted to losing, ya know. I'm starting to diet again( but the right way) but I binge a lot at night. It's not too bad though.( like 1 honey bun, 2 pop tarts, and some roasted almonds) I have gained any weight from binging, is this because I had a fast metabolism or it is because I'm just not eating enough to gain?

Lose Weight, No Sweat!

Recommanded Answer:
Usually, if someone develops anorexia, and they eat very little for a long enough period of time, their metabolism will begin to slow down. This is because when you do not fuel your body properly, it tries to conserve as much energy as possible. When you begin the refeeding process of recovery, slowly, your metabolism will begin to resume its natural tendencies. In some cases, however, during refeeding one's metabolism will sky-rocket for a short period of time because your body is not used to the energy it is getting from the food.

I would say that there is a chance you have not gained weight because you are hyper-metabolic, but there would be a much greater chance that it is because you are still not eating enough for your body to gain weight.

I am very glad to hear that you are trying to get better from this horrible monster. I hope you continue to recover and rememebr you are beautiful! c:

  • It's probably your fast metabolism it won't be as fast as it was before and as you age it will slow down but it sounds like you still have a pretty fast metabolism
  • No, you lose your fast metabolism as you age.
Generally it starts to slow down after you hit 25 and you begin putting on weight fast. Just eat until you start gaining weight, then you will know your limits.
  • It could be either explanation but it's more than likely that your fast metabolism is the reason why your binging isn't causing weight gain. I would caution you to see a counselor or a therapist before you attempt any diet plans because you've had a problem with anorexia in the past. Remember that being skinny doesn't necessarily mean healthy. You can be a very thin with a nice body and still be completely unhealthy on the inside (smoking, junk food, drinking alcohol in excess, etc.). I would suggest that you try to curb your binging habit by teaching yourself to binge on healthy foods. It's still bad for you to eat this way but at least binging on greens and fruits is much better for you than binging on greasy fast food.
  • Your metabolism slowed down during anorexia, and you unfortunately can't get that back :( That's the unfortunate thing about metabolism. Check this out: http://www.livestrong.com/article/400430-anorexia-slow-metabolism/ there is your proof. My advice is to maintain a healthy diet. Unfortunately hun, you can't be an easy binger anymore so you have to eat healthy and only binge on special occasions, but NEVER go back to bullemia or anorexia because that will just make it worse. You have lived life starving yourself before. I can guarantee you that eating healthy is MUCH easier. Stay strong, sweetie :)

Is there anything to help gain healthy weight?

Okay, so I'm 6ft 125 pounds at the moment because 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Mono, which makes you lose up to 10 pounds. My weight is fluctuating between 125 to 126 to 127 because I normally used to weigh around 130-132 pounds. My doctor said I'd gain my weight back and it has been 2 weeks going on 3 and I still weigh like crap.. I also have a fast metabolism and it has always been hard for me to gain weight as it is.
It doesn't matter how many times I stuff my face with food or anything and I just don't gain weight. I'm drinking this stuff called Carnation Breakfast that has a crap ton of vitamins and minerals in it and supposedly it's supposed to make you gain weight and it isn't doing anything for me.
I was curious if there is any healthy drinks or anything out there I can take THAT'S HEALTHY that will help me gain. I'm sick and tired of seeing all these products for obese people to lose weight and nothing for skinny people to gain it.
Thanks.
I was given Ensure Plus at the hospital when I was being watched over with Mono. I did see that it has a lot of protein to help you gain weight.
How many times a day can I drink it?

  • The best way to gain weight is not just merely by eating, but pairing an even higher diet with proper exercise and sleep. This is because when you do gain muscle mass, it will help to stabilize your weight. Mainly, the key issue is that your calorie input is not higher than your calorie output, so an increase about 200kcal will not help you gain the weight you need. What you need is a diet that increases your calorie intake by 500kcal each day.

In order to eat a proper high calorie diet, you must make sure that you are eating enough meals rather than eating a lot in a single meal. That means eating as many as 6 meals a day which can be a hard thing to achieve. Nonetheless, what you can do is focus on adding more carbs into your normal meals with more pasta, noodles, rice, biscuits and bread. One little tip I did was to drink 500ml of milk 3 times a day in between my 3 high carb meals to give me the protein I need to gain weight.

As for your sleep, you need to clock the right amount of sleep to stay alert and help repair your muscles. Any negligence will cause your body to burn more calories and destroy hard trained muscle mass. I calculated the amount of sleep by falling asleep and waking up all by myself without the aid of an alarm clock or other distractions.

As for your workout, you need to do a heavy weight workout to get your body used to the stress of gaining weight and help you to gain muscles easily. One way to do that is via the workout at http://gohforth.com. I used it for many years and still stand by it for my clients at the gym.

What are the weight loss foods that help to loose weight?

Hi, I am a male and I am 23. But recently I have put on some extra weights. Now, I am doing regular exercises but not loosing that much weight. Maybe there’s something wrong with my diet plan. So, want some ideas about weight loss foods.

Lose Weight, No Sweat!

Recommanded Answer:
Weight loss foods are foods with lower calories and also which increases the metabolism rate. But only those foods will not be helpful. You can start with not adding too much fats in your diet plan (oils, cheeses, things which are really oily or really delicious like fast foods and most restaurant foods). Also you can try foods like lemon, orange, apples and vegetables like cabbage, cucumber etc for regular diets. Also you can check out the foods here on this site http://greatweightlossfoods.com/weight-loss-foods-videos.html. These foods and videos are very helpful.

Besides that you should start eating more fruits and vegetables, because most fruits don't have any fat. Don’t do much diet as special diets starve your body and that is not a healthy practice. It will surely make you lose weight but as soon as you are off you’re your plans, you will probably gain back all the weight.

You can also go to the gym for exercises, or walking, or doing any sort of physical activity would help better with weight loss as it increases the metabolism rate.

  • Do you even lift, bro?
  • Vegetables
  • Fruits and veggies are low-cal foods, so try to incorporate these into your diet. Cut out sodas and sugary drinks, and stick with only water. Eggs are a great source if protein, and prevent you from getting hungry too fast. Try to cut out preservatives and greasy foods.
Lots of whole grains, nuts, etc... Are also good
  • Dust
  • You should be more concerned with what NOT to eat in order to lose weight. Eliminate all grains for a couple of months: rice, wheat, corn, etc. and ALL sugar. Eat more vegetables and lean protein, and keep up the exercise.

How Thai Food Can Help You Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Eating a high calorie diet is only 1/3 of the things you need to do. You will also have to sleep well and do the right workout to gain weight and maintain it steadily. You can be rest assured you will not turn out unmanly when you do the workout because your body simply has lesser muscle building hormones and the workout only helps you to create an appetite and maintain your body weight better than compared to fat which you might lose due to your high metabolism like me.

The key thing about diet is to eat more calories. This does not mean you feed yourself huge meals 3 times a day. This will lead to indigestion, gastric pains and other digestive complications because there is only so much your body can digest at one time. The idea is to eat more meals a day, preferably 6. This can be difficult if you are on the move all day like I'm so I suggest just stick to your 3 meals like you do but bring a long a liter of milk with you before you leave the house. Drink 500ml of milk in between each of your meal and finish the last dose 2 hours after dinner. This will provide the extra calories you need to gain weight. If after a week your weight is still not going up, simply increase the amount of milk you drink by 100ml and stick to your normal portions for your normal meals. Keep doing this until you gain the weight you need to. You should be putting on roughly a pound a week in my opinion. Once you gotten 2-3 pounds, it is time to focus on getting the right workout to help you build muscles and ensure that your body gain weight more steadily.

The best workout to do in order to grow muscle mass in terms of size is to do a high weight low repetition workout called hypertrophy. This will adjust your muscles to use the food you eat as the main source of energy rather than oxygen like smaller muscles do. If you are starting out to gain muscle mass, perhaps you should download the program at http://gohforth.com. This program has been extremely effective for me personally and also benefited my clients very well.

One thing that many people miss out is the fact that sleep is extremely important to help you gain weight and maintain a strong immune system. This is because when you stay up late, have interrupted sleep cycle or not enough hours of rest, you will burn more calories throughout the day and this means that you have to eat more or risk loosing weight. This is made worse if your metabolism is like mine in the past and this will probably mean you will lose up to 3-4 pounds in a week due to poor quality sleep. The road is long and tough, but as long as your stick by the 3 things which is a high calorie diet, sleep well and do the right workout regime, you will see roughly a 1 pound of muscle weight gain a week. I hoped I have helped you.

  • Whole wheat and even exercising can help you gain muscle weight if you would like but eat whole grain bread if you want to gain weight fast
  • Intermittent fasting....eat 3-4 meals in a 6-8 hour time period. Fast for the rest.
  • Eat chicken it healthy . I don't mean fried chicken. I mean grilled. If you want to be good looking you need to EAT and exercise too . So that you burn the extra calories you ate .
  • Well i am just going to say eat.

Eat foods high in fat, but not bad fats. Eg- Avacado, nuts, fish.
Eat protiens and foods with iron in- watercress, lentils, eggs, meat.

Just don't exercise, just make sure to eat 3 healthy meals a day with the contents of above, adding some carbohydrates too. Snack on things between meals. You should be able to put at least a few pounds on.
  • Good weight gaining combinations are bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes or sweet potatoes combined with meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts or sea food. Peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches are good combinations.

The protein in the above combinations will help to gain extra muscles.

If food doesn't work perhaps you could try bodybuilding in the gym.
