How much weight will I lose like this?

I'm eating about 600 to 1000 cals a day and I do some cardio almost every day.I don't have a scale at home at the moment. And don't bother saying crap about "starvation mode" because I feel great and not cranky or hungry. And if there is muscle loss, that would be great because fat builds on muscle and if you gain more muscle then you will sure as hell gain fat too if you stop working out, that's what my dad says and he did wrestling and running when he was youngAnyway back to my question how much weight will i lose? I want to lose 10 pounds in 4 to 5 weeks.

How to Lose Weight After Having a Baby

Recommended Answer:

Your goal is definitely achievable and you most likely will achieve it. But DO NOT ever skip breakfast. By doing so your body will go into a medical 'starvation mode' which means it slows down your metabolism a lot so you don't get hungry as fast and so you don't well...starve. Having breakfast with your diet plan/carido = success. The breakfast will keep your metabolism normal while the cardio diet will help you lose weight quickly. You can probably lose the 10 pounds in 2-3 weeks if your 600-1000 cals a day are good healthy foods.

  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

Feeling Dizzy And Nauseated?

Hey I was wondering if you guys can tell me or have a little bit of an idea wat is wrong with me. :\ Anyway, After I was done exercising, I went upstairs to take a shower, and for some odd reason I felt dizzy, nauseated, and had a slight headache. It felt like i was sitting in a spinning computer chair continously without stopping, kinda felt like I wanted to puke. I fell asleep that night feeling that way, and over night got a slight bit better. But when I got up for school, the nauseated and dizzy feeling returned and I feel like I wanted to lay on the floor in my room and pray the nauseated feeling would go away. I don''t know what is wrong or what might be happening that is causing this to happen. Additional information (just in case if this has happened to a certain gender or age before), I''m 15 years old, and I''m a female. Plz help! <:( I feel nauseated Thank you guys for posting any comments that may either tell or help me with my problem, I really apreciate it. :) Okay for the first 2 comments that were replied to my question, I go on the treadmill everyday for 60 minutes, and sometimes do a 2nd time a day. I do stretches but sometimes before I start on the treadmill. I eat only foods that are 190, or 200 calories and under mainly. I sometimes every once in a while eat a 300 calorie meal. I drink water, but the when I''m not I''m drinking a 0 calorie diet pepsi or mountain dew. I hope this may help with your solution for me and diagnosis :\ I hope this helps! :)

How to Lose Weight - Don''t Lose Your Sleep and You''ll Lose Your Weight

Recommended Answer:
It could be a number of things. You may have hypotension (low blood pressure) or dehydration. Try drinking more water in a day and see if that doesn''t help any. Also make sure that you''re getting nourished (protein, water) enough before you exercise since that can be too stressing on the body. Maybe try warming up and stretching before exercise and don''t overdo yourself with exercise.

Another problem that comes to mind is maybe an inner ear issue. It almost sounds like you''re having vertigo...a lot of dizziness symptoms do trace problems in the inner ear and balance. You don''t necessarily have to have ear pain or hearing loss to have a problem with it.

It could also be connected to hormonal changes, but what you''re having sounds pretty severe.

My best recommendation is to tell your mom and see what she says. It could be something minor and may just go away soon, but if it really continues to drag out and not get better, you probably should get checked out by the doctor and get some tests done.

RE-EDIT: Okay, from the sounds of it, you aren''t getting enough calories. Calories make energy, and you need energy for your body to workout like that otherwise it just takes its toll. I suggest eating more healthy foods with protein and vitamins and minerals in them (chicken, fish, fruits, veggies, etc...). This won''t make you gain any weight, but it will give your body more nourishment. Maybe before you work out try supplementing with a protein drink and mineral water and see if that helps at all.

  • Could be the exercise, you might not be eating enough too. I went from the age of 16-17 constantly feeling stomachy and sometimes headachey and now I look at pics I realise I had small portions and it ended up affecting my tummy.
How much exercise did you do? if your not used to it then your body could be in this scenario of OYYE LEAVE ME ALONE, I AINT USED TO THIS!!! haha..

always stretch before you do it, if your jogging or sprinting, start with a ten min walk

Will I lose weight if I eat between 1200 and 1800 calories per day...?

Leaning towards the 1800 side most days. I also workout for an hour 6x per week (strength and cardio mix), drink 2 cups of green tea most days, and 8 cups of water every day. And I do a 24 hour fast one day per week.
I''m 5''2'''', 131 pounds, and my goal weight is 110. I want to be down to at least 119 by May 1st. Will I lose weight doing this, and can you estimate how much I''ll lose per week (say... eating 1300 2 days per week, 1750 4 days, and only about 300 the day I fast)? Or do I need to make sure I stay under 1600?

Staying Motivated to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
It depends on how many calories you need to maintain your current body weight. you can try to eat 500 calories less than you need a day. you can safely lose a pound of weight a week. but you have to know how many calories you need to maintain your body weight and eat five hundred calories a day than what you need.

How long before I see improvement?

So I've been on birth control (FOR ACNE) and I've gained some weight, I have to be on it for 6-8 more months and I want to lose 10-15 pounds, here's my routine:
Monday and Wednesday - swimming for 1 hour
Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday & Saturday - walking for 1 hour and HIIT for 20-30 mins
Friday - rest
I eat pretty healthy with the exception of a little bit of sugar (like dark chocolate covered acai berries)
I'm 5'2, 115 pounds? (I'm not sure)

I just want to know when I'm going to see progress in losing weight and toning up, also is this an effective routine? Thanks so much!

Top Five Tips to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Fat is added onto your body when you eat fat. Simple carbs can turn to fat only if you exceed your calories for the day. Complex carbs have fiber which carries out the fat.

You can gain a pound of fat by eating foods high in fat daily. The foods highest in fat are butter, cheese, oil, avocado, bacon, eggs, olives, beef, chips, soy, pork, chicken. Even the lean cuts have plenty of fat.

http://www.nutribuff.com/weight-loss/how-to-gain-a-pound-of-body-fat-in-one-month/

When you say high carb are you talking about donuts, pie, cake, cookies, crackers, because yes you can gain some fat with them, they have fat added. But, the good carbs have fiber which carries out the fat = grains, beans, vegetables, fruit. you need the good carbs, they are your body's natural and main fuel source.

You have to count calories if your diet is high in animal products, but if you only eat good carbs you don't have to count calories because they are super low in calories.

Your body converts good carbs to sugar to feed your brain and heart and muscles not to make you fat. You will always crave carbs of any kind if you try to eliminate them from your diet. Just eat the good carbs and you will lose weight and satisfy your hunger most effectively. Plus the good carbs help you to not crave sugar. High animal consumption causes sugar craving.

One day is easily overcome and does not all go to weight gain. Many people have six days of good diet and then one day of cheating. It helps them lose weight and stick to their diet.

  • No. One day of 'bad' eating won't ruin everything.

Eat healthy. Not just fruits and veggies, but meat and yogurt and yummy food. Don't eat junk, but don't stop eating. Eat 6 good portioned meals a day. Spread it so that each of those six meals has around almost exactly 300 calories. That's 1800 calories a day, perfect for losing weight.

Exercise. Like, a lot. Search blogilates on YouTube. Her workouts will shape you up quick! Figure out your limits, get a bit in shape, and then run. Run only until you are tired. Then stop. Then the next day, run until you're tired, then stop. Soon you will be going faster, farther, and your body will shape naturally and healthily. Run trails, roads, back roads, city roads, loops, laps, miles and miles and miles.

And be happy. And realize that everyone else can go **** themselves because you are beautiful and special. No matter what you look like, know in your heart you aren't getting fit for them. You are getting fit for yourself. And not just for looks, but to be healthy and strong. Weak is like a cage, a barrier that limits you, and takes time and patience to break. But strength is freedom. Strength in body and soul. Eat healthy, work healthy, be healthy. And be happy and content.

  • You should eat fruit and veggies just like your friend. And have self control to not eat any junk food. And do exercise but at thr beginning its going to be hard but be strong. Hope this works:)

Eat healthy and I would start walking for about 45 minutes per day. With a good diet and the walking you should start to lose the weight. It may come off quicker at first and then become harder as time goes on. That is when you adjust the exercise portion of your routine to something more. I hope this helps and good luck :-)

  • The fastest way to lose fat and de-bloat (so your stomach looks smaller too) is doing a high-protein, low carb diet. My blog describes this diet (on which I lost 50 lbs during 3 months) in detail.

Losing weight mentality?

Okay, so I have been trying to lose weight. Last year I lost from 10-15 pounds because I went really extreme with it, but once summer came and the new school year started I gained it all back. I am eighteen and a senior in high school. I am trying to lose weight, but in a smarter way this time. Little by little so the habits actually stick. For me, I have learned it is better to do it at my own pace than in an extreme way because then I go to the opposite extreme- eating horribly! Sooo, I have been doing good this last month. My question is, however, is it a good idea to keep yourself busy when trying to lose weight? Because I was thinking... And you know the whole "When you stop wanting something, you get it." belief? So, if I ate healthy and worked out, but also had other priorities, would it be better on me and my mind? Like keeping myself busy with other things so that I don't make this my only priority. Also, what are some things that have helped you get to your goal weight/body?

Lose Weight As You Get Older - Ezine Articles

Recommanded Answer:
Yes! That's an excellent thing to do! Don't make eating right and workout out the only things that run through your mind, or you'll go absolutely nuts! I used to be so obsessed with what I was eating and how much I exercised, and I noticed I was always cranky and irritable. The best way to lose weight is slowly and consistently, that way, when you get to your ideal body that you want, you'll appreciate it more because you worked so hard and long to get where you are, so you'll be less likely to blow it. Don't be too caught up in your diet and exercise routine. If you're out with friends and you really want a piece of pizza, have it! Just eat it in moderation. Or, if you miss and exercise day, that's fine. You're not going to gain every pound you've lost by not workout out for one day. I think that's a great idea, so do it! That way, losing weight will be easier and you'll sort of do it without knowing :)

  • A diet should never consume your life. I struggled with losing weight during high school and I would obsess over it. You have to take this a day at a time and just try to make better and healthier choices. You really can eat what you want if you just control the portions. Don't be too hard on yourself!! You can achieve this if you really want it but you have to change your lifestyle not just cut out everything bad for you, it's a process to lose weight and from personal experience the slower you lose the weight the better chance it will stay off!! You got this!
  • I'm glad you're asking about 'mentality' and not just 'what should I eat?' You realize that losing weight depends more on 'mindset' than some prescribed list of foods and quantities, which is good.

Well first of all you have to see 'diet' not as a temporary regimen to reach a target weight and then to be abandoned. That's how we tend to see it here in the US, and it's partly why most people fail. As soon as you go off your diet you gain the weight back, and it would be healthier to just carry around a few extra pounds than to go up and down over and over.

So you want to see diet as making new habits, lifelong habits, a permanent change in your life. So you want to make changes slowly, only as you are comfortable with them. Fad diets where you eat nothing but sauerkraut and celery for three weeks do more damage than good. But drifting towards lower-carb foods, smaller portions of sweets and carbs, being more careful with snacks, etc. is a good way to go for the long run.

Secondly, diet and exercise are like two sides of the same coin. They work together much better than either one works by itself. Exercise helps by burning calories, but it also speeds up your metabolism, and builds muscle, which burns up more blood sugar. Exercise is another habit. If you just walk for an hour three or four times a week, or ride a bicycle, after a while it becomes a habit and you find yourself craving it!

Finally, weight is not the criterion. If you change your habits, get into diet and exercise, you will feel healthier and just generally more capable. Losing weight is related but not the primary goal, it's almost more like a 'side effect', a by-product. If you weigh yourself every day, you can really get discouraged, because you will go long periods without seeing a change. Exercise creates muscle, which weights more than fat!

How Thai Food Can Help You Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
If you are looking to gain around 25-30 pounds, make yourself a promise that you will not stop until you get there and I will help you get there with my experience in this area. I know how it feels being 100pounds because I was there like that too a few years ago and was often ridiculed. The thing I learn was that if you want to gain weight, you need a high calorie diet, sleep enough and do the right workout. Since you are doing a milk diet like I did in the past, let me advice how to make it work the most for you.

In terms of diet, you need to consume way more calories than you are eating right now. This does not mean junk food or fast food 24/7, but rather eating more meals which you have to plan to have more carbohydrates. My practice is to eat 3 meals a day and drink milk 3 times a day. This will ensure that you remain healthy with the benefits of protein to build muscles, calcium to provide strong skeletal structure and also enough calories to be used as a meal easily. The best thing is still to eat home cooked meals which you carefully planned out weeks in advance, but for now why not give this a try and watch the scale go up by 1-2 pounds first? My suggestion is to start by measuring your weight now. Once you have taken note of your weight, take note of the day and time when you do so because this will become the habit for you to do on a consistent basis every week to ensure that you are consuming the right diet. Once you have done that, start by drinking 500ml of milk 3 times a day first. If after a week you still do not gain weight, simply drink an additional 100ml of milk each time. Keep increasing the amount by 100ml each time until you gain 1-2pounds. Once you are there, you are ready for step 2 and 3 which is to workout and sleep well.

In order to gain muscle mass to give you more weight, you need to do an exercise which stimulates a lot of muscles so that you can produce the most growth. You will also need to do a high intensity workout which will cause the muscles to need a lot of energy fast in order to get muscle mass. One guide which does this very well is called the real natural guide to gain weight at http://gohforth.com. I found it a few years ago and have been using/teaching it since. It has not failed me so I'm certain it will produce the same results for you as it meets all the criteria of a good workout to gain muscle mass.

Lastly, sleep is the tip which is often left out. If you do not sleep well or have interrupted sleep pattern, chances are you are going to burn more calories. Coupled with your high metabolism rate and your body's need to use nutrients to repair your muscles, you will lose weight rather than gain it. A good tip I use in the past until now is to sleep and wake up by myself. This means you do not fall asleep with alcohol or sleeping pills. Similarly, you have to wake up yourself rather than be sounded awake by the alarm or the sunlight spilling into your room. I did this on the weekend so that I know the hours I need and simply replicate it everyday and my weight did go up. Remember that weight gain is a long process and you should be looking to gain around 1 pound of muscle a week, any guide out there which promises more is lying or making you gain more fat than muscles.

  • be lazy a bit... eat junk food....and large meals
  • Gym + supplements are the main two. Also include lots of protein in your diet. And in between meals, have nuts, PB sandwiches, and also whey protein shakes. After you hit the gym, make another protein shake of your choice. This can just be muscle milk whey, or creatine. Also remember to get lots of sleep.
  • Well don't eat junk food. That's the unhealthy way of gaining weight.. You need PROTEIN. Try protein bars, protein shakes ect. Beans. Meats. Breads but not to much. Milk is good. And fruits and veggies are too. Peanut butter is a great idea! I'm not professional but I do my research on all of this stuff. Hope I could help ((:
  • Drink lots of hot chocolate
  • Take a chilli dog slap it on your plate take a slice of pizza slap it on your plate a hamburger and fries then get a big gulp soda and then go home watch tv and eat away
  • brewing yeast. It has a lot of vitamin B, too. It will make you gain
weight in a week. Either buy at pharmacies, as supplement, or in any
place which specializes in brewing. Three pills a day/three tablespoons a
day - depends on the product, and you are there. Good for bones and
    hair as well.

How long until I start losing weight?

Im going to the gym four times and week and spending 30 minutes on the elliptical, 25 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes on a rowing machine. I have also cut my calories down to about 1300, eating mostly veggies and fruits and have been drinking only water. In edition to this I have been taking the stairs up to my apartment (I live on the ninth floor) and doing a few calisthenics before I go to bed (nothing too fancy). I have been doing this for about a week and a half and I was wondering when I can start to expect results? I am an 18 year old girl if that helps.

Lose Weight, No Sweat!

Recommanded Answer:
It will take a few months before you start seeing changes. And don't be surprised if you actually gain weight for a little while, your body will retain more fluids to keep up with your exercise, it's completely normal. Just make sure you are keeping your routine very enjoyable, otherwise the brain won't allow the habit and you'll become another statistical drop-out. Take breaks whenever needed, and two days a week of rest. Think about the long term, you are still very young and at a great age to start a life-long pursuit of health and happiness. Just be patient and you'll be rewarded with so many benefits ( some you might not notice) like better sleep, energy, breathing, endurance, strength, moods, etc.) Keep up the good work! And have fun!

  • dont you mean a 18 year old FAT girl. Get your post right please.
  • eat normal food, dont nibble on fruit and veg because you'll gain weight that way! eat normal but small portions, eat butter, high fats etc. but little of it? eat your mums food, it'll be better for you
  • You will not gain wieght if you eat fruit eat healthy no more fats foods
  • It diesnt matter if ur training liek a mad person u gota be patience train and eat good

U need to fully quit ur fatty junk foods ur sugary foods and stock to healthy foods and healthy snacks

  • I've reported Charlie for personal abuse.

It sounds to me like you are probably putting on about as much muscle as you are losing weight. With that much exercise you may not have enough calories on your plate to keep your body at a high metabolic rate.

Try the 5:2 fast diet instead. Eat normally 5 days a week (2000 cals) but just eat 500 calories on 2 days a week. I would recommend you don't exercise heavily those 2 days.

Google for the fast diet. There's a lot of interest in it at the moment. I've lost 30 pounds in 22 weeks with it - without the extra exercise - but I'm doing a 4:3 diet, eating normally 4 days a week and fasting Mon, Weds and Fri. It has a lot of benefits beyond weight loss. My cholesterol has dropped a LOT and I feel much happier.

The great thing about the fast diet is that you still get to eat normal food - and you control when you diet rather than the diet controlling your life all the time.
  • Well assuming you only need 2000 calories a day, then your at a 700 calorie deficit. There are 3000 calories in a pound of fat, so in 4.25 days you'll lose a pound of fat. With vigorous and hard exercise maybe your at 2300 Make sure your eating enough protein, like 60 grams a day. There are some problems with this though. One if your eating more fiber you might have bloating/back up at first, causing you to gain feces. Also it's possible with your decrease in food, and increase in working out, you've consumed more water. It's easily to consume a couple pounds of water, since many people are dehydrated often. If that's the case then it might have 3 pounds of not fat, which means that you might have to wait 16 days to lose a pound.

This is fairly high calorie restriction, you need to be certain your getting enough fat, protein and vitamins if this is going to go for long term. Also exercise is best for weight control long term, not short term weight loss, so don't be disappointed when you don't see results fast. Many people who do exercise vigorously, will be less likely to eat as much junk food, and can help you from gaining weight. More important in the long term is continuing the exercise, and with less concern on calorie restriction. Think in the long term, not short term, and in a year, you'll see result, if your diligent. 115 calories a day, over a year is over 12 pounds. And a year will go by fast.

Also please don't go overboard on weight loss. Guys don't like stick figures. Fashion models are not hot, they are bony with no curves, no butt or boobs. They are basically living clothes racks, not sexy. Almost every guy will think your sexier at a bmi of 19, rather than 17 or 16. And of course you can be sexy at a bmi of 25 too. Guys care more about how you look with your clothes off, then your clothes on. Try to get a naturally feminine figure, not a skinny figure that looks like a preteen boy.

Is this a normal weight for a teen

I'm 14, turning 15 in May, and I weigh about 118 pounds. I'm 5' 4" and I don't play any sports. Before Christmas break I weighed around 110, so in only two weeks I gained 8 pounds. I only eat about 1300 calories a day and I work out about 3 or 4 times a week. Is it normal to gain that much weight that fast, and is my weight a decent weight for my age?

Why is it that my bellyfat will only go down if its weight loss?

I can't focus on fat loss, it seems only weight loss for my belly fat to go down and become flat. However, when I lose my belly fat I also lose my larger muscular frame that I've obtained over time. Will I still be able to lift same heavy weight if I lose weight?

It depends, I mean if you're lifting weights, you're gaining muscle mass when you're trying to lose weight so you're not really losing weight at all are you?

Just my view, I'd also recommend this weight loss program which I personally used to lose 50 lbs in the sources. Good luck with your weight loss

Take a pack up, then you know what you're putting in and there's no hidden junk and so on :)
I hope you're losing weight for health reasons, and not to fit in with society! You're still growing, so I'm sure what you have is "puppy fat" and you'll lose it soon enough :)

  • Most teens have terrible diet, which shows up as being overweight, tired, and eventually, depressed.
    A good plan would be:

Breakfast: low fat milk on cooked 9-grain cereal (from health food store), mixed with cooked oatmeal and wheat bran. Add some nuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts and yogurt w/fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit: banana, orange, apple, kiwi, grapes, peach, nectarine, cherries, pineapple. No chips and nothing ever from a vending machine.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.

Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes.

Foods to avoid: junk food, pastries, desserts, sugar, salty foods, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fatty/greasy foods (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza), pasta, potatoes, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream, fast food, soda, chips. And of course no tobacco or alcohol in any form. Both of those add wrinkles and destroy your brain. No oil except olive and mac nut. Coffee also rots your brain.

To keep your skin clear, drink water. Veg. juice is good too. But not canned juice (too much sugar.)

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Also hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, badminton, tennis...

If you lack energy to exercise, take stress B vitamins.
To lose weight, try an appetite suppressant
