Would a high protein/carb diet help me lose weight/bulk?

recently been trying to lose weight and i''m currently going on a protien/carb diet hoping this is the best way for me to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time.

an example of what i would eat would be :

Grilled chicken
Brown Rice
Fruit or Veggie

All about the side of a fist or a fist and a half kinda like a tupperware but not all the way to the top.

anyways what do you guys think would this actually help me lose weight and gain muscle? i am currently lifting weights and doing cardio daily except on my rest days.

also im trying to eat every 2-3 hours and trying to get around 4-5 meals a day

Yeah, it would help you lose weight and gain muscles as long a you do cardio and workout.... You probably already know this but shy away from foods with high sodium co tent .... Less sugar.. (I don''t drink soda, mostly water)and foods with less fat... How much cardio a day? Also you should try out whey protein powder to get your daily amount of protein easier
