How to Lose Weight Safely as a Diabetic

Recommended Answer:

Follow these steps for EASY WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT IN NO TIMEEAT SMALL MEALS FROM TIME TO TIMEWhat I mean is that you should eat little meals like four to five times a day instead of eating one big meal two or three times daily. By doing this, you tend to boost the rate of metabolism in your body system and gives room for reduction of the belly but one big chunk of meal just compounds the whole thing.DON'T STARVE YOURSELFYou don't want to feel deprived or hungry; drastically cutting calories will only slow down your metabolism by driving your system into famine mode. Your body needs food in order to burn fats and boost body metabolism. It is just like trying to drive a car without fuel or engine. So it is very important to ensure that you eat something healthy from time to time in order to lose weight. CARRY OUT REGULAR EXERCISESYour diet will be all the more successful if you combine it with regular exercise. Do your exercises periodically like in the mornings or evenings and also focus on it by reminding yourself on what you want and also what you hope to achieve. Remember that it is not how far but how well. For example, in order to lose belly fat, you can carry do push ups. Remember that sit ups are different from press ups or push ups.Sit ups has to do with focus on the abdominal region. To see a perfect image of what this looks like go to any search engine and type in ‘sit ups', click on Images to see how it looks like.DRINK WATER MORE OFTEN.At breakfast, go ahead and drink orange juice. But throughout the rest of the day, focus on water instead of too much or steady soft drinks that contain calories. The average American consumes an extra 245 calories a day from soft drinks. That's nearly 90,000 calories a year — or 25 pounds! I am not saying that taking soft drinks is bad, am just saying that they should be taken in moderation just as alcohol should be taken in moderation and more emphasis should be laid on drinking clean water like seven to eight times daily.WALK FOR 45 MINUTES A DAY.The reason I am suggesting 45 minutes instead of the typical 30 is that a Duke University study found that while 30 minutes of daily walking is enough to prevent weight gain in most relatively sedentary people, exercise beyond 30 minutes results in weight and fat loss. Burning an additional 300 calories a day with three miles of brisk walking (45 minutes should do it) could help you lose 30 pounds in a year without even changing how much you're eating.FIND A PARTNER IN CRIMEHey you didn't commit any crime, what i mean is it is also necessary to find someone to work out with. A partner motivates you in form of creating a healthy competition thus giving you the vigour to pursue your aim of losing weight in no time. A University of Vermont study found that online weight-loss partners help you keep the weight off. For example if you choose a guy or girl that has more weight than you, you will not want that partner of yours to shed more weight faster than you and that partner will be interested to put you to shame, this leads to healthy competition between the two of you. Who loses out? There you have it! Easy ways to lose weight in no time. What are you waiting for? SHED THAT WEIGHT WITH EASE!

I'm always hungry but I'm trying to lose weight?

I'm trying to get rid of certain things, as in weight, before its time to go school clothes shopping but there's a problem, I'm always hungry an hour after I eat something, unless its a super big meal at a restaurant or a relatives house. And if I eat something, I feel like I'm just making me fatter than what I already am. Like, I just don't know what to do anymore. Help me! Because I really need to get rid of this belly and crap, especially since I'm going to a new school this year. Help!

How to Dance to Lose Weight

Use slim fast. It's a low calorie alternative to eating. Slim fast fills you like you've eaten a big meal but its just a milkshake. They taste good too. Replace one of those with a meal and you lose weight in no time. But you do need to exercise too.

Other Answers:

  • Yea you do need to work out too. I have the opposite problem. I am never hungry, and am losing weight too. I's put on a diet to gain weight because I just don't eat much. I gained weight to where I should be, but once I got there, I stopped doing the diet. I am 5'8" and weigh 115 lbs. I used to weigh 100 lbs! Yea even I know that's not good. someone said try slim fast. Good idea
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

Are men to blame for anorexia?

Anorexia as in a perfectly healthy woman would want to lose weight. Not in a healthy way but by quick fixes or by starving themselves because men keep on saying no fat chicks and expressing their hatred towards women with any matter or substance.

And some men want to deny and say that girls call each other fat and men don''t. That is bs. Men always say they want slim women and say "no fat chicks"? Also men act like when women gain 20 lbs it is the end of the world for them.

Stop Trying to Lose Weight

Are women to blame if a guy feels like a loser cus hes not rich?

  • Anorexia in eating disorders in women has nothing to do with men. It has to do with the self-image a woman creates for herself.
  • Sure why not. just blame men for everything. blame us for the food and the weather and a woman''s weight problems.
  • I think it''s more complicated than that. Our culture is to blame in the sense that both men and women are socialized and taught to value skinniness in women to an excessive extent. We all participate in it.
  • There can be many reasons a woman could develop anorexia. I don''t think men are the cause. There may be a few men here and there that contribute but I''ve seen even mothers cause it in their daughters, or low self images, public influences. All sorts of things. So it''s not a man caused illness, although it can be. I also know plenty of men who like a bigger female.
  • No, I find that a most men are not into bone thin women. They like women with enough meat and not to look super bone skinny, like Kate Upton. Anorexia is a mental illness and they see a fat person when they look in the mirror, even though they are super skinny. 20 lbs extra would not be a healthy weight. As long as your range is within the BMI limits, you are not classified as overweight. It makes sense that a guy would not be attracted to a women who was over her BMI (in the healthy weight range) because that exceeds the right amount of a persons normal weight. Being thin is a man''s physical preference. You can''t change that men are attracted to thin women. I don''t think most men are attracted to anorexic women. I think very few (if any) find that to be attractive.

It''s really no one elses fault but your own if you are genuniely unhappy in your own body. Nobody but you controls your diet. There will always be someone better looking than you. You are in control of what you eat, not men. Thumbing me down and blaming others will not solve your problems or get rid of them.

Almost everyone gets called fat, unless you are bone thin. Some women ignore it, some take it personally, and other''s cut back eating. The ones that take it to heart are the ones who have eating disorders.
  • It''s the media''s fault for pushing a unhealthy image to young women. However men do propagate it to by only going after girls who have the unhealthy looks and habits. It is also the parents faults for not teaching girls to have more self esteem. It''s also the girls fault for being to shallow to realize being skinny doesn''t matter that much.
  • no
  • So hold on. It is our fault that we find healthy slim women attractive, so women take that and resort to starving themselves? So we are not allowed to have a preference because "they" put their obssession of vanity over their well being?

This is absolutely ridiculous. You are basically saying men are bad people for having a preference, and I will bet my left nut you have "never" thought of giving a really fat guy the time of day romantically with yourself, yet expect men to do it for women.

What the hell is it with you and "20 lbs". It''s a very specific and repeatative thing you are saying. I can only assume that you gained 20lbs, and your partner left you for it, so now you are complaining on here about it.

Grow up. Men can like what they like. If that makes women resort to making stupid decisions, then that is their fault. We want healthy skinny, not anorexic skinny.
  • No....poor self image is to blame.
  • No, women can be just as judgmental to other women about body image

How can I schedule my days?

Hello. I am 21 years old and only 5''0 tall. I am not sure of my weight but last time I checked (which was sometime last year, I was between 86 - 91 lbs. I''ve been living a very unhealthy life. I usually sleep between the hours of 1 AM - 4 AM or even later than that but never after 8 AM no matter if I am going to school or not. I also have classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 8 AM - 9 AM and another class at 10 AM to 11 AM. I prefer to do my homework at night because during the day, many things distract me (like other people being awake, the t.v. being on, music being played, etc.) so I usually go to sleep when I get home after classes, wake up around the hours of 4 PM - 6 PM, eat and watch t.v. (I am a really slow eater and it''s so bad that I actually hate eating most of the time) for an hour or so. It is usually between the hours of 7 PM - 9 PM when I am finish eating and finished cleaning the table. After this, I use the laptop, having free time for a while then doing my homework. When I am done with my homework, around the hours of 12 AM - 2 AM, (or before 1 AM if I have classes soon) I just lay in bed using my cell phone. This is almost literally my schedule every single day. I want to add exercise to my schedule because I''ve been told that exercise helps build muscle and would help me gain weight and also boost my appetite. The only form of exercise I do is walking and riding the bike. I''d prefer not to go to the gym only because I don''t have anyone to go with. Also, what foods should I eat to be healthy and gain weight? Most of the food here in the house, I don''t like so I end up looking for food but never find anything I want to eat. What should I do about my life?

Special Foods to Eat to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
The first step is that you know you''re being unhealthy. I would recommend cutting out your nap and using that time to exercise instead. Then, turn off your cell phone at midnight and go to sleep then. You''re not going to be missing anything important at that hour anyway. If you can sleep from 12am-7am, that''s a start in the right direction. Getting enough sleep is important for so many reasons and little naps throughout the day aren''t as good for you as one long night''s sleep. You''ll feel better during the day and have more energy.

A good way to gain weight is to eat food high in healthy fats such as nuts, peanuts, seeds, peanut butter, almond butter, avocados, hummus, and oils, which are great sources of healthy fats loaded with nutrients and calories.

Don''t eat anything that is low cal or fat free or light. Eat full fat everything. Try comfort foods like mashed potatoes with butter or macaroni and cheese. Drink high-calorie juices instead of water and choose high-calorie condiments such as mayonnaise, ranch, thousand island, and Caesar salad dressings. Dried fruits are a concentrated source of calories that can be tossed on salads, yogurts, cereals, desserts, and trail mixes -- or eaten alone.

Eat more frequently and that will help you get hungrier more often too. Exercise will definitely help you work up an appetite. Just like it''s not easy to lose weight, it''s not that easy to gain it either for those who are underweight like yourself. It may take time to work your way into this new schedule, but I bet you will feel a lot better overall. Good luck!

How to Lose Weight Really Fast in 3 Easy Steps

Recommended Answer:
It seems that you are underweight due to a high metabolism, puberty as well as a mildly active lifestyle. In order to help you gain weight permanently to be healthy, I suggest you look into eating a high calorie diet many times a day, sleep well and do the right workout in order to help you to grow. Your diet plan currently is good in terms of frequency, but I think they lack substance.

a high calorie diet needs to consists of at least 55-60% carbohydrates. As a rule of thumb, let your plate decide how much food you are taking. 60% is slightly more than half so aim for that same amount on your plate be it in the form of potatoes, pasta, noodles, biscuits, bread or rice. Eating 6 hearty meals of this will help you to gain the weight you need faster compared to simply eating3 meals. Lastly, if you need help on how to get the habit to eat 6 times a day or find it difficult to make 6 meals a day, I suggest you look into drinking 500ml of milk in between your meal 3 times a day for the extra meals you need. Increase the amount by 100ml until you see the 1 pound weight gain on the scale. Only then should you focus on getting your sleep and workout right while maintaining the same calorie that helped you to gain 1 pound this week.

Next, sleep is the 2nd step to proper gains. This is usually the deciding factor that separates the committed to the interested. Most people can train hard and eat well but when it comes to making a 8 or more hours slot to get their sleep, that usually does not happen. It is not only about the number of hours of sleep only, but also how sound do you sleep. If possible, try sleeping and waking up all by yourself everyday so that you have absolutely no distractions that jerk you out of your bed. This means that your body will be fully recharged, fully repaired and growing to help you gain the weight and you need.

The last thing that most skinny people get wrong is also workout. Most people who come across friends who asked them for advice if they are looking to gain weight often said that not doing anything will help you to gain the weight you need. It maybe true for people with a slow metabolism rate but it is totally untrue for us. This is because when you cease to be active, your body will break down the muscles in your body as well as the fat in order to lighten its load. The fact is that what you do not use your body destroy. Also, if you are simply focusing on eating and sleep to help you to gain weight, it is highly unlikely because a poor day of diet or sleep will cause your body to break down the excess calories you have been trying so hard to put on, causing you to lose even more weight than you put on. I suggest looking to http://gohforth.com for a workout that will help to be the trigger to help you to gain weight.

  • Only advice i can give is always drink a lot of water, water is very important in weight control
  • Eat fast food and do nothing all day.
  • drink alot of water, eat more (healthy food)
  • You have a fast metabolism.
I have exactly the same problem. No matter how much I eat (and I do eat a lot) I can never put on weight and this has been an issue for me my whole life. When you have a fast metabolism you burn fat in your body a lot faster, which makes it harder for you to put on weight. A healthy BMI is 18.5 and whenever I work out my BMI I am always 18.3, but that''s just the way I am built. As long as you are healthy and happy in your body then that''s all that matters. Genes have a big part to play as if a lot of people in your family are slim then you will most likely be slim. It is important though that while you may look healthy and nice & slim on the outside you still have to eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water and take care of your body as on the inside your body needs to be healthy too.

You can''t help the way you are built and as long as you are healthy & comfortable in your own skin then that''s all that matters. If you are really worried then talk to your doctor about it, but there''s nothing you can do. It''s all fine, and natural. Just be happy and embrace it. Good luck xoxo
  • Okay, get a empty notebook. And even though this may sound really boring. Your going to have to track your calories. Make sure you have the same amount or close to the same amount of calories everyday. Also make sure you have a bit of all the food groups in your meals. ( Grains, Dairy, Fruit & Vegetables, and Meat and Alliterative. Also it doesn''t hurt to add some snacks in between your meals.

    Hope this helped!

    Good Luck! :)
  • When ur... skinny u dont really have anything on the internet that shows you how to put on weight. dont worry about. if ur not harming urself on purpose, then enjoy the skinnyness.

    This has happened to me. im lazy and when i sit down, dont expect me to get up easily. My friends always wonder how i do it. I eat so much fattie food im personally sort of scared the fattie food will catch up with me when i hit 30 ;-;
  • Like the other person said, start tracking your calories. Try signing up for a website or app called My fitness pal. It''s a much easier way to track calories and how much calories you''re burning through exercise.
Try eating foods high in good fats, like natural peanut butter or avocado. I don''t think you''re losing weight from your exercise so you''re either not eating as much as you think or you aren''t eating balanced meals.

Holiday Weight Loss Tips - How to Lose Weight During the Holiday Season

Recommended Answer:
There is something called the "Master Cleanse" (Lemonade diet). ...I did this a few years ago and lost 10 lbs in about 10 days. ...many doctors are against this, saying that it loses muscle tissue as opposed to fat, but I felt very good after the 10 days, so i can only comment by my own experience.

The Daily Recipe:

7 1/2 cups purified filtered water (not tap)
3/4 cups grade B pure organic maple syrup (not the fake pancake maple syrup)
3/4 cups fresh squeezed juice of (preferably) organic lemons
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

The above will provide a concoction you can drink throughout the day and it actually tastes really good (the cayenne gives it a nice little kick). ...no food whatsoever is allowed during these days of cleansing. ...you may, however, drink plain decaf herbal tea or laxative tea at night. Also, if you want to flush your body further, you can drink a quart of warm filtered water with 2 tsp of organic sea salt (not iodized) in the morning and at night...this salt/water mixture will cause diarrhea within about 1.5 hrs and the taste is disgusting (I just plugged my nose and guzzled it), but I figure if I'm going to do the job, I may as well do it right the first time... ...and it paid off, it was great losing 10 lbs in such a short amount of time.

When I did this cleanse, the first 4 days were grueling, then after that it became easy for me and I felt like i could go on forever (but I believe the max for this cleanse is recommend for 11 to 14 days). ...if you have health problems (like diabetes), disregard this entire answer.
