What are the effects of eating just one full meal a day?

Okay, so I''m planning to lose some belly fats so yeah. I started eating just a full meal everyday and a small amount of food intake in the other meals like some biscuits or fruits. Will it help?? And what excercise can I do?? Those that don''t require any tool if possible. Thanks. I''m 13 btw.

It''s not healthy to eat one meal a day even for a fully grown adult, let alone a 13 year old. Your body''s like a car - a car needs petrol to run, and you need food for energy so you can get through the day. You won''t lose weight by starving yourself - you''ll lose weight by eating the right foods and exercising.

Instead of cutting down how much you eat, cut down the fat and sugar in your food. If you don''t know how to read a label, ask your parents or an older sibling or whatever, and find out how much your daily intake for certain foods should be. Eat lots of food with protein, iron, vitamins and minerals (and a bit of carbohydrates), like wholemeal breads, rice and pasta, lean meats and fish, vegetables (beans especially!), eggs and nuts and seeds. You can snack as much as you like, but make sure its not junk food like chips or chocolate bars.

As for exercise, walking is probably the easiest and best thing you can do. I like walking myself, because I don''t need any special equipment and I can do it at my pace. The trick is to modify for your needs. A very fit person will need to walk faster to achieve the same result as an unfit person. Go for a walk and as soon as you feel out of breath, slow down a little. It does nothing for you to be huffing and puffing and feeling as though you''re gonna collapse. Once you''ve done this for a little while, you''ll find it gets much easier, and you''ll be able to modify even more to suit your new fitness level.

And NO do not listen to people when they say you need to eat 500 calories a day - you''ll starve!

    Why? , because no one in this world would say so , and its not reasonable.
    you need to eat 3 meals a day low in calories . if you want to lose a pound of Fat
    you need to eat 500 calories a day. why?
    1 pound of fat = 3500 calories
    500 calories a day x 7 days a week = 3500 calories.
    Easy math.

    so there you go , Not just eating a big ol''meal a day its not gonna help you at all

    Depending on if you eat anything else eating 1 full meal a day will also slow your metabolism


    Exercise - cardio. That is running, walking, biking, swimming,ect
    Takes months to lose weight. Eat healthy, dirnk plenty of water.
  • Eating one meal a day would probably more likely put your body into starvation and start eating muscular rather than fat. Your body requires a certain amount of calorie consumption a day even if you just lie in the bed whole day with your eyes open, you should aim for the suggested amount of daily calories as a minimum & when your metabolic rate is balanced only then will you start burning fat.
