How Does Counting Calories Help With Weight Loss?

Recommended Answer:

Hiiii! Its me again :P I have the same problem as you, I can't gaint weight no matter how hard i try! And don't try to gain weight because once you start eating all the junk food, the fat won't appear instantly but once it does, you gain a huge amount of weight! (Trust me fat's harder to lose). As long as you're not anorexic i think you're perfect the way you are! If you REALLY want to gain weight, I suppose you could try eating foods with high calories, but I wouldn't reccomend it. I tried doing that before and then POOF I gained almost 30-40 pounds. I started eating junk food when I was 14 and the huge fat appeared when I was 19 or so. (Don't worry I lost the extra fat) I hope I helped! You're really nice by the way (On my last question with my friends name!)

  • Calorie shakes. Eat at least 2500 cals a day. Eat healthy things high in cals such as avocados and peanut butter. Do it slowly, healthy and properly and it's more likely to stay on.
  • Lift weights in low rep, high weight sets.

Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results. Hair is dead, but hair also has electrical energy; the negative charge of damaged hair can lead to flyways and unruly hair. • Oiling you hair (coconut, mustard or olive) and keep trimming few centimeters often. it prevents split ends, and keeps hair healthy!!because without trimming, you might get it long, but it obviously won't be splits free

How can I lose 20-30 pounds in a month?

I am 5 feet 3 inches , weighing at 125 pounds. I need to lose all my belly fat ASAP, and I have a lot. I need to weight 95-105 pounds MAX. I have a month to do so. Sports reason. I'm not good with diet plans (following a certain diet). Also I'm not a believer in diets, so. Of course I'll avoid soda and sweets and that kinda thing. I don't like working out much either. Help please?

How to Lose Weight By Eating Fruits

Recommended Answer:

I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

  • Wait watchers
  • 1200 calories a day, exercise every chance you get. Even if it's just at home. I lost 21 in a month doing all that never went to the gym once. Just remember it comes off fast, which makes it faster to put back on.
  • Dinner is your answer. Keep your dinner small, eat vegetables for dinner and stay a little bit hungry. But don't miss dinner. Also of course stay away from sweets and fried food as much as you can, and whenever you're hungry during the day drink water.
  • You can't lose 20 pounds in a month that can cause stretch marks and loose skin but if you really want to id try drinking 3 table spoons of olive oil cause it makes your food in your stomach go out ( you know poopy )

How to lose weight? 10 points!!?

I want to lose 20-30 pounds before my next school year, because I want to look good for my first year of high school (9th grade). I''m 5''6 and I weigh 136 pounds. The Problem With Losing Weight

Recommended Answer:
I was fat for a large portion of my life, and this sounds exactly like what I did when I started trying to lose weight. I felt tired, fatigued, and just depressed; I lost 10 pounds in a little over 2 months. Oh, and I was hungry the whole time. So, please, do not do what I did.

This is one of the most common mistakes people make when trying to lose weight. There is a certain, specific list of nutrients and foods your body needs when you are trying to lose weight. When you deprive your body of what it needs, it literally shuts down. This is why, if you do use this food in your diet, you won''t see results.

I know how you feel; having unwanted bodyweight is extremely frustrating. Through years of trial and error I found something that worked for me, and now my clients. There is a balance that, when put into place, makes weight loss laughably easy. I can’t really explain all of it here, but my website will really help you http://www.secret.lightmindfitness.com

  • some people talk/write TOO MUCH but dont say ANYTHING!... this will help!

    Do NOt Eat:

    * Bread, Rice, Noodles, Cereal - all carbs - store excess fat regardless of bodies need.
    * Most convenient snacks - fruit roll ups, gushers, and even the granola bars aren''t as good for you as they claim!
    * KoolAid - 2 cups of STRAIGHT SUGAR!!!
    * soft drinks, sodas, energy drinks... i dont touch anything with over 12g carbs which are ALL sugar!
    - I would NOT recommend substituting the sugar free ones, the sugar sub is linked to cancer.
*Even ALL natural fruit juices have a lot of natural sugar which is better but if over consumed will store fat!
    * bananas are surprisingly fattening so i only eat them in 1/2s or 1/4s at a time.

Things to Consume A LOT of:

    * Water (ill add lemon juice or cucumbers for flavoring!)
    * Sparkling water with lime - tricks ME into thinking i''m drinking soda! I haven''t had a soda in 5 months!
    * salads- add strawberries, nuts, cucumbers and goat cheese with an Asian Fat Free dressing... you will love!!! Add baked chicken for a complete meal!
    * soups - cabbage, bell peppers, onions, celery, squash, beans, tomatoes, potatoes(sparingly), yams, broccoli, cauliflower, etc are ALL great ingredients On their own, teamed up or all together with some broth (veggie preferably).
    * Salsa Chicken : I brown the sides of fresh raw chicken slices in a lightly oiled pan then simmer on medium for 45 minutes in my favorite Salsa! Its a protein packed, carb-less meal!
    * steamed carrots and broccoli are a great in between meals snack! Tastes great, fills you up, healthy and relatively fat free.
*Pre-made salads- sliced cucumbers & red onions combined with chopped peanuts and cilantro.

    2 Possible Dressings:

    1) Whisk together the 1/4 cup raw sugar and 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar in a mixing bowl until the sugar has dissolved.

    2) Mix with:
    juice of 1/2 lime
    1-2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. shrimp paste
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (to taste)
    1 to 1+1/2 tsp. sugar

The trick is to eat small amounts every hour or two to keep your metabolism going. Starving yourself will have a detrimental effect on your actual health and will most likely cause you to gain even more weight.

Walk DONT RUN!, Walking a 1/2 hour a day will be perfect but keep a good pace, no running...bad for your joints and REALLY not necessary :)

Hope this is enough for now!

Walking to Lose Weight - Fitness Tips For Any Season

Recommended Answer:
Best thing to do? Eat healthy and stay active. I know it will be hard, but leave your junk food and start staying active. This is my favorite plan in my opinion because I am lazy and don''t like exercise, but I try to put everything I have in just fifteen minutes. http://weightlossjames.com/fatburningfurnace

  • Follow a low carb paleolithic kind of diet. You will definitely start losing weight.
  • If you want to loose weight then don''t try not eating, if you don''t eat your muscles eventually have to turn into fat! Dieting doesn''t Meen you have to force yourself to eat things you don''t like, or only eat one kind of thing, the best way to loose weight is to have a ''balanced diet''. Although this wont make you loose 3stones over night it''s the best thing for your body...
This would be an ideal lunch:
a sandwich (brown if possible for more fibre.) and in this tuna could be good or ham, grilled chicken all those things are quite a good source of protein, which you need to help build stomached muscles that will help hold your stomached in.
Water- this is the best thing to dring with o calories!
Piece of chocolate, you need a TINY bit of sugar and fat as fat is the only place you can store iron.
Get some fruit you like as a treat, like I love lychees and they are good for you!
Smoothies are good as long as you don''t dring too much on them
Pineapple or another fruit you like, experiment and try to eat fruits of different colours these contain different vitamins.
A low fat yoghurt- for calcium
And if that''s a big enough portion it''s perfectly balanced if it isn''t add in some vegetables you like!
Once you get into the habit of eating like this different fruits will grow on you and will soon be your preferred choice to unhealthy things practice restraint ins yourself from sugary foods you don''t really need and within the next week you will already be feeling healthier your nails will most likely improve and you will have slimmed down a little without craving unhealthy things all the time or starving yourself, this is the healthiest way to loose weight!!!
One fact too, the reason people tend to choose fatty foods, this counts for everyone is because of human instincts given to us by cavemen, they needed fat to survive, they would run and run hunting animals the more sugar and fat and the more they ate the more chance there would be of them not starving, they would have to run miles to catch a meal we can sit at home and order one to our door, learn to resist these hidden instincts...
I hope this was useful! And sorry it''s so long...

Is it possible for a person that is obese to lose 60 pounds in 3-4 months?

Hi, im currently obese (5''7 267 pounds) and I want to lose 60 pounds in 3-4 months. Is that possible? I plan to eat 1500-1700 calories per day & exercise for 1 hour and 30 minutes. I just want to know if it''s possible. I don''t care if it''s unhealthy, I plan to eat healthier once I get to my goal weight. So please only answers that answer my question please.

How to Lose Weight?

Recommended Answer:
Yes, I believe it is possible. I didn''t exercise as much as you plan too and I was able to lose 30 pounds in 12 weeks. I have kept it off for 2 years now. I did a little research and came up with my own plan.

If you want to see what I did to lose weight I wrote about it at http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-lose-weight-without-starving-yourself2
It doesn''t cost you anything, I didn''t take any diet pills or join a weight loss company, I just wanted to share my story. Check it out and see if you think what I did could work for you.

  • It actually is very possible but you would have to do intense workout. You can still get all the nutrition you need by eating little. Just make sure you get all the required daily needs to keep you healthy. Get someone to motivate you also because that helps a lot. They keep you on game.

Can I give my adult dog puppy food to help her gain weight?

My 9-year-old Chihuahua has lost about 1/2 a pound or sorecently (which is a lot when you''re 4 pounds!) She''s not sick or acting strange, she''s just lost weight and feels very boney. I''ve been feeding her more recently, but not seeing results. She goes to the vet next month... but in the mean time, can I give her puppy food? I know it''s more fattening. Thank you!

Losing Weight Fast - The Side Effects of Losing Weight Fast

Recommended Answer:
I wouldn''t do that. Instead, I would add canned food in the same kind that you are currently using. If you were feeding Science Diet kibble, for example, I would get a canned Science Diet adult to go with the kibble (or vice-versa.) Puppy food is high in protein, which can be very bad, espeically for a dog with kidney issues. At 9, there''s a good possibility it could be her kidneys causing this. Cancer has to be on the list, too, unfortunately.

This amount of weight-loss is huge. I''m assuming you were waiting until time for the annual shots, but I would cancel that one and get her in right away. They will need to run blood work and possible urine analysis as well. Any dog losing weight like that needs to be seen sooner than later. If your little dog has been eating her usual amount and losing weight all of a sudden, something is definitely wrong.
vet tech

  • Canned food will work
  • Your dog needs to be seen by a vet to rule out medical issues. Why are you waiting for a month to see the vet?
  • You should take her to vet. Veteranian usually sells special formulated food for dog to gain weight
  • Well puppy food contains more nutrients than adult dog food. It has extra calcium and proteins and fat. As your dog is 9 years now I suggest you consult a vet or a breeder before you give puppy food as it contains extra calcium and fat and it might cause some trouble to his bones.
  • No, puppy food isn''t enough for an adult dog it''s not fattening and it doesn''t have enough minerals/vitamins/nutrients etc.

You can find a weight gain food at a pet store. Make sure it''s for small dogs. If she''s 9 you might want to just put her on senior food that should also help keep some weight on her. Make sure she''s warm enough and don''t exercise her too much.
  • Try adding some raw or cooked egg yolks to her food. The egg yolks are high in calories. You can add two to her food for each meal. I''ve never known a dog to be allergic to raw egg yolks, although I have known one that was allergic to cooked ones! You can also give her raw bones for the delicious, fatty raw marrow inside. You can even just put some gravy on her food. Most dogs love gravy on top of dry dog food.
  • Take her to the vet maybe u need to change the food or something
  • You really need to see the vet, sooner (IMO) than a MONTH from now. 50% of all dogs age 10 & up end up with some form of cancer. Your dog is close enough to that age, for concern. Unexplained weight loss, and not seeing any GAIN in weight, despite feeding additional food, would SUGGEST Cachexia: Cancer weight loss (which often causes a 17-20% need for more calories) just to maintain the same weight.

Yes, you can feed puppy food. But there are specific, MORE helpful diets if your dog is fighting cancer.
  • Actually I''m 13 in 6th thx for the support to help me pass ;(

Foods to Lose Weight Healthily

Recommended Answer:
Well, first of all, you are a normal 13 year old girl. When we look at ourselves in the mirror we tend to only see the imperfections. That is NOT a good thing. By seeing ourselves only for the problems we want to fix we miss a lot of perfect parts. This tends to lead to eating disorders, unhealthy eating habits and even obesity. You are at an age where everything is changing so quickly from week to week, and it is changing for all of your friends as well. This is a very critical time in setting good habits. Go to your doctor for a physical evaluation before starting any type of weight loss regime, eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day as opposed to 3 normal sized meals and always drink plenty of fluids. Preferably water, and exercise sensibly. I am a 66 year old nurse, I am also an x bulimic (I threw up to maintain a low body weight) since age 9. I am 5'9+" tall and at age 32 I was hospitalized for a collapsed stomach and I weighed 78 pounds. If anyone were to ask me that very day what I would love to do, I'm sure I would have replied "lose this stomach". It was a very trying time in life , very secretive, very lonely and extremely misleading with my personality. You don't ever want to be like I was honey. It has been 23 years since I was like that, and today if someone were to ask me what I would like to do with my appearance, I am sure I would say "lose this stomach!" Although we will NEVER see ourselves as others do we have to realize the number on the scale is nobody's friend so I suggest not weighing yourself, ever! If you feel comfortable in your clothing great if not then address the problem. Keep a journal of the foods you eat their values and the exercise plan to burn it off. Never deprive yourself of any food you truly enjoy because you are afraid of gaining weight. You are at an age where it is important to get enough nutrients into your body to deal with it's changes. If you rob yourself of enjoying your meals you won't be happy or thin. Depression actually assists in weight gain, why? lack of exercise. Zumba/Sumba (not sure of the correct spelling) dance is the exercise of choice for anyone wanting to address any part of their body they are not happy with. It is invigorating, fast paced and extremely effective and the results start to show immediately. Give it a shot that tummy will be flat as can be by next month guaranteed. But remember this is a routine you must stick to if you have weight issues, like food and want the healthy approach to this. If you find that this is too difficult for you take it back a bit, you don't have to lose all your weight in one day right? If for any reason you feel you are leaning toward a distorted body image causing you to make unhealthy choices, please, I can't stress this enough, please seek medical attention. I will keep an eye out for you asking questions in that direction and I will be right here giving my hard learned advice. Your body is a beautiful thing, protect it, guard it with your heart and your heart will thank you for it by letting you feel beautiful all the time ok. So you go for that physical, get a journal, write down your positive and negative points and the approach you plan to use to correct it. Run it by the doctor, if all is well with your physical health and you get the go ahead for your plans, go for it, knock yourself out. Make every minute of flattening that tummy of yours enjoyable, and not all "Mexican" food is bad for you generally it is the procedure used to prepare it that causes the calories to soar to those delicious levels right. So learn good preparation and good eating/exercise habits and enjoy life to the fullest. You are in my prayers. Good luck to you. Cleo

  • you can do this by doing HIIT training ( high intensity interval training ). It's a training method which raises your heart rate to its max and you burn calories long after you've finished training. An example is whilst on a treadmill or road, run as fast as you possibly can for 30 seconds or a minute and then very slow jog/ walk for 2 minutes and repeat 6 times !
  • Liposuction
  • Play basketball
    Go swish some 3's
  • Here's what you should do:

    - Go 5 - 7 times a week to the gym and run on the treadmill for 45 - 60 mins (try not to rest a lot)
    - In the gym, you wanna get really sweaty, so don't run slow, run fast!

    - Instead of eating 3 BIG meals a day, eat 6 SMALL meals a day. Don't be afraid to eat a lot of break fast because your body needs a good amount of food in the morning.

    - Eat LOTS of fruits and vegetables.

Sleep 9.5 hours to 11 hours every night.

You'll lose weight in no time ;)
  • Running is going to help lose weight but you got to do some kind of ab workout to get the flat belly. Drink water when youre thirsty or going to eat and if you get hungry in between meals eat some fruit. Dont go eat some junk food and you say youre family eat meat almost all the time. Eating meat isnt bad but cut down on your calories.
  • If your not into working out simple ways to loose weight. With out really changing your life style is cut all pop and beer out but I hope your don't drink since your only 13. And simply replace that with water. I weigh the same and just did what I told you to do I dropped 20 pounds by drinking water. I'm 21 and have a kid so it's even harder for me to loose wight so I know this will work for you. Also walking is soooooo good for you. And just keep in your mind that if you really want to loose weight then your stick to the diet you give your self. Have have to work for it if you really want it

How do I get rid of a near obese figure?

I'm 6.1 feet tall and weigh 98kg...that would be near 200lbs I guess. I have a little bit man boobs.
I have a rather big tummy, a lot of fat on waist and thighs.

I used to go to a gym but that didn't help my man boobs at all. How do I get rid of them? Should I run A LOT and eat a lot of protein?

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks. :)

Perfect Ways To Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
To lose stomach fat you have to throw out the junk food! You are what you eat, so don’t eat junk. Do not keep junk food like cookies, chips, sweets and other similar products in your house.
Try not to have late night snacks. The main problem with late night snacking is that there is not much activity done after wards. People go straight to bed.Decrease alcohol consumption. If you drink a lot, you will accumulate fat around your waist. Excess alcohol consumption can really give you a belly. Exercise is vital for weight loss and long-term health. Exercising has an immediate effect on weight, in that as you exercise you burn energy. The more muscles you have the more fat you will burn ? Don't starve your self and drink lots of water. Don't eat from a drive threw and eat small portion sizes.

My brother was 115 kg and with poison size eating , exercise and lots of water he lost weight up to 65 kg in 1 and a half year

  • do push ups i also had man boobs, but ever since i started push ups, i partially have the shape of a ripped chest ./.......push ups would do the work,do 100 a day

Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a slow cooker /food steamer & rice/pasta cooker to make it easy on you)...(vegetables might not seem "tasty", like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink mainly water (green tea , juice & milk being the other options you drink). If you eat meat ,,use only steamed, baking or grilled methods for preparing fish or chicken.

also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.

4 Simple Tips On How To Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Hi Marmasoot, funny name. Looking at your list of food you'd like to eat. I think a Low-Carb diet will fit you well. Unlike the first post, which will also help you lose weight, I think cutting out grain (rice) and starch (bread and potato) will help you get there faster. Then, once you reach your ideal physique, cycle through the Low-Carb and Regular Fat plan on rest days with a Low-Fat and moderate Carb plan on active days. I wrote about it on our Martial Arts blog and it is reference below. Don't worry, it can be applied to any exercise.

The amount of weight depends on where you are now and where you want to be. On a Low-Carb and Regular Fat diet with moderate exercise, exemplified by Primal Diets, Paleo Diets, etc, you can get to any range you want technically. I do believe Low-Carb and Low-Fat can be done through cycles that will allow your body all the micro-nutrients it needs. Here are the main sources I used. Read it if you are interested.

  • I've actually stopped drink sodas and sweetened tea all together. So very lean meat, anything bread or pasta needs to be whole wheat. I lost about 15 pounds in a month and half on the diet I am on right now. That was without exercise.

If you had a fast metabolism do you always hAve one

I got anorexia and my metabolism slowed very badly. Before anorexia I had a SUPER fast metabolism(like I could eat like a big one and medium fry from wards and wouldn't do nothing!) but I took it for granted and started to gain and then lost too much and got addicted to losing, ya know. I'm starting to diet again( but the right way) but I binge a lot at night. It's not too bad though.( like 1 honey bun, 2 pop tarts, and some roasted almonds) I have gained any weight from binging, is this because I had a fast metabolism or it is because I'm just not eating enough to gain?

Lose Weight, No Sweat!

Recommanded Answer:
Usually, if someone develops anorexia, and they eat very little for a long enough period of time, their metabolism will begin to slow down. This is because when you do not fuel your body properly, it tries to conserve as much energy as possible. When you begin the refeeding process of recovery, slowly, your metabolism will begin to resume its natural tendencies. In some cases, however, during refeeding one's metabolism will sky-rocket for a short period of time because your body is not used to the energy it is getting from the food.

I would say that there is a chance you have not gained weight because you are hyper-metabolic, but there would be a much greater chance that it is because you are still not eating enough for your body to gain weight.

I am very glad to hear that you are trying to get better from this horrible monster. I hope you continue to recover and rememebr you are beautiful! c:

  • It's probably your fast metabolism it won't be as fast as it was before and as you age it will slow down but it sounds like you still have a pretty fast metabolism
  • No, you lose your fast metabolism as you age.
Generally it starts to slow down after you hit 25 and you begin putting on weight fast. Just eat until you start gaining weight, then you will know your limits.
  • It could be either explanation but it's more than likely that your fast metabolism is the reason why your binging isn't causing weight gain. I would caution you to see a counselor or a therapist before you attempt any diet plans because you've had a problem with anorexia in the past. Remember that being skinny doesn't necessarily mean healthy. You can be a very thin with a nice body and still be completely unhealthy on the inside (smoking, junk food, drinking alcohol in excess, etc.). I would suggest that you try to curb your binging habit by teaching yourself to binge on healthy foods. It's still bad for you to eat this way but at least binging on greens and fruits is much better for you than binging on greasy fast food.
  • Your metabolism slowed down during anorexia, and you unfortunately can't get that back :( That's the unfortunate thing about metabolism. Check this out: http://www.livestrong.com/article/400430-anorexia-slow-metabolism/ there is your proof. My advice is to maintain a healthy diet. Unfortunately hun, you can't be an easy binger anymore so you have to eat healthy and only binge on special occasions, but NEVER go back to bullemia or anorexia because that will just make it worse. You have lived life starving yourself before. I can guarantee you that eating healthy is MUCH easier. Stay strong, sweetie :)

What's the beast way to loose those extra pounds

Losing 10 lbs a month is a good and safe target. Any faster weight loss is likely to be temporary only and in most cases you regain it all.

Running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.

One of the healthiest weight loss diets is the DASH diet.

The healthy DASH diet can help you lose weight safely and effectively, lower your cholesterol and lower your blood pressure.

It is based on an eating plan rich in fruits and vegetables, and low-fat or non-fat dairy, with whole grains. It is a high fiber, low to moderate fat diet, and is rich in potassium, calcium, and magnesium.

You can see further details in a web search for "dash diet" + "lose weight".

  • To burn fat, I just simply ate (way) less and exercise. It's going to be hard every single day, every single hour, but if you really want to lose weight fast....that's the only way.
Other than that, if you aren't risking your life, you can just simply eat less, drink more or less water, and dont drink any other thing, including milk diet sodas and etc.
  • Heyo! :) a way to loose them quickly is by trying a raw food diet, although if you don't want to there OS a easier way! 10 minute work out is a fitness plan for ten minuets a day! One work out= one hour at the gym! Just visit 10minuteworkout. I hope I helped!

Is this a normal weight for a teen

I'm 14, turning 15 in May, and I weigh about 118 pounds. I'm 5' 4" and I don't play any sports. Before Christmas break I weighed around 110, so in only two weeks I gained 8 pounds. I only eat about 1300 calories a day and I work out about 3 or 4 times a week. Is it normal to gain that much weight that fast, and is my weight a decent weight for my age?

your weight is perfect. no need to lose any weight! if you want to "tone up" go ahead and work on strength exercises.

  • Yes it is
  • that is a healthy weight for your age and height
  • Well I'm 5"2 and I way 163. My weight isn't normal. I'm not fat neither I'm overweight though. My normal weight should be 130-140. I think your weight is normal though. By the way I'm 18.

How long until my body starts eating its own fat

5 foot 5 inches
165.1 pounds
200 cals or less a day
4 herbal diet pills a day (2 types, containing kelp, apple cider vinegar, b6, lecethin; white willow bark, caffeine.)
Water is the only liquid I consume.
Possibly starting interval training today on the treadmill.

When will my body FINALLY start to get rid of this ugly fat on my body? I've done this years ago and lost over 30 pounds. I'm not anorexic, I have control and will stop when I'm around 113 pounds.

Any other tips? Thank you.

Also, no hateful comments please. It is my body, my choice.

How Thai Food Can Help You Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Bad way to do it.

1. You can't get sufficient micronutrients on 200 kcal per day.

2. Your body is always using a mix of fat and carbohydrates (glycogen) as fuel, but it can't run on fat alone. It can't convert fat that fast. If you stop eating altogether (200 calories is pretty much the same as not eating), your body starts consuming muscles and organs as well as fat. Do it long enough, brain damage can result. Your brain only uses carbohydrate fuel, not fat.

3. You can't do any sort of effective exercise once you've run through your glycogen stores. Ask any cyclist about "bonk", which is what happens when you run out of fuel. When that happens 10 miles from home, it ain't pretty. Been there done that.

Attempting interval training while starving yourself will only accelerate the damage.

4. You CAN train your body to use fat as fuel more efficiently via endurance training (like cyclists, marathoners, triathletes), but you can't do endurance training while starving yourself

Reasonable calorie restriction, plus exercise resulting in 1-2 pounds per week weight loss is the safe, sane, and healthy way to do it.

  • Not eating a whole day will make your stomach shrink and begin to eat its fat. I'm 14 I'm 5'5" and 116 I don't think you should be doing this I know it's your body but this is unhealthy you can loose weight by eating everyday meals but small portions less than. 200 calories your starving yourself "starve for perfection". If you want to talk inbox me . I'm not trying to be mean or anything it's just sad how people will do anything including starvation to loose weight I wish you luck and to always love your body

Simple Tips To Lose Weight And Burn Calories

Recommanded Answer:
The problem with eating as little as possible is all you'll lose is water weight, not fat. Losing weight/fat is about 80% what you eat, so look at what you're eating. Completely stop the junk/fast/fried foods and focus on eating a variety of healthy foods including fruits and vegetables, but also lean proteins (chicken, turkey, fish, lean beef, plain greek yogurt), healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, nuts, hummus), brown rice, oatmeal, milk, low fat cheese, whole wheat bread, etc.

You sure didn't give yourself much time to lose, but I can't tell you how many calories to eat because you didn't provide your age, but download the My Fitness Pal app (or go to the website) and select the option to lose 2lbs per week and it will tell you how many calories to eat each day. You'll probably want to eat more protein than what the app says because they only tell you to eat 15% protein. If you're consistently going over on protein, this is a GREAT thing!

Also, exercise at least an hour a day - maybe even twice a day. Go running or jogging or jump rope or ride your bike or a mixture of all those. You'll want to elevate your heart rate, which will help burn fat. Note that if you are tracking your calories, you'll also want to track your exercise, so the app will encourage you to eat more calories. This is because you're already eating at a deficit. If you don't eat your exercise calories back, you will be eating too little and not lose weight. Your body could go into starvation mode, which is not where you want to be. Good luck!x

How to tone my body after rapid weight loss?

I lost 20 pounds recently eating healthier meals on a low calorie diet. I intend to lose more, but I've noticed that my body has become very soft. I don't really exercise and I don't have any money to spare for the gym.
I was wondering if there was an at home, fun, not too difficult way to tone my body so that I don't end up looking like melted rubber as I lose more weight.

Best Exercise to Lose Weight For You

Recommanded Answer:
Go back to basics.Push-ups,sit-ups, etc. It's free and it uses your own body weight.

  • You can do body weight exercises like pushups, squats, pullups etc or better yet start lifting heavy weights. I personally love my barbell. I do squats, dead lifts, over head press, rows etc. And they are not too expensive. Much cheaper than a gym membership.

How fast will I lose weight?

I weigh 165 pounds right now, I'm 6' tall almost 6'1". As of several months ago I weighed 183 pounds, but I gradually dropped to 165 over the last couple months. I don't know why, I didn't change my diet or workouts at all. What I'm wondering is. I plan on starting to run/speed walk a couple few miles a day, I eat around 900-1400 calories per day any more, as of a few months ago it was much more. How quickly should I start to lose weight? And how much do you think I'll lose? I have a small layer of fat over my stomach/ab area, that I REALLY want to get rid of. How quickly do you think that will go away. Thanks.
Oh and I have 9% body fat, I'm not sure if that is important.

Lose Weight, No Sweat!

Recommanded Answer:
If you burn 500 more calories than you eat every day for a week, you should lose about 1-2 pounds.
If you want to lose weight faster, you'll need to eat less and exercise more.
For instance, if you take in 1,050 to 1,200 calories a day, and exercise for one hour per day, you could lose 3-5 pounds in the first week, or more if you weigh more than 250 pounds. It's very important not to cut calories any further -- that's dangerous.
Limiting salt and starches may also mean losing more weight at first -- but that's mostly fluids, not fat.
When you reduce sodium and cut starches, you reduce fluids and fluid retention, which can result in up to 5 pounds of fluid loss when you get started.

  • very fast
  • That is a really hard one to answer - very individual and lots of variables.

Water weight fluctuations can hide / show weight loss for example.

Something to think about might be to do use a couple of measurements (waist, thigh, etc) along with a scale weight. Gives you another metric to track. When losing weight - it is usually best to give any changes a few weeks to assess any real impact.

Also, make sure you are drinking at least a gallon of water per day. Long term that will make a significant impact.

    Good luck.
