- everbodys body is different so to tell you what you should aim for in terms of calories/carbs in one day is for you too find out. if your not gaining weight then simply you're just not eating enough.. there is a healthy way too gain weight and an unhealthy way. The healthy way is high protein/carb foods like.. chicken, lean beef, turkey, egg's, potatoes.. etc look online and you can find a ton of high calorie healthy foods.Unhealthy way.. ice cream, pizza, cake.. etc.. Drink a gallon of chocolate milk a day and i guarntee you will gain weight.. been there done that.. it makes you feel like garbage. You should start working out and maybe looking into supplements if you're having a really hard time.. Working out can help you in the process of gaining weight and turning that weight into muscle instead of just packing on all fat. If you have the extra money too spare you can look into mass gainers.. They're a work out supplement that is not unlike a protein shake, but just in addition they are packed with nutrients and calories.. Essentially they're just a substitute for eating which is why a lot of them are brand marketed as meal replacements.. They're a borderline waste of money since you can just eat more instead of them, but if you wanna get them then trust me they work.. I've bought them a couple times when i am trying to bulk up fast..The two brands i like if i were to buy them are "bsn true mass" and "serious mass"In all seriousness though.. just find what works for you like for calorie wise.. When i'm putting on weight, i aim for 6000 calories a day.. but i'm a big guy (6'4) with a very high metabolism as well, but that should be your first main priority.
