if i am 14 years old and i want to lose weight should i drink a protein shake when i go to the weight room?

i want to work out and protein shakes help i herd but i didnt here they help with losing weight do they?

If your trying to lose weight then you want to be dong cardio training like working on a treadmill rowing machine or spin bike. Protein is used for filling in the rips in the muscle from lifting weights this will put on weight but muscle not fat. if you are trying to lose fat do a cardiovascular workout and if your trying to gain muscle that's when you want protein. Don't overload on protein each scoop is equivalent to one chicken breast of protein and one scoop should be for one hour of muscular strength exersizes otherwise it will be stored as fat.
