Why did my scale give me diffferent readings?

I weight myswlf five times this morning. After I pooped I weighed 2 lbs less, then 5 mins later, after I put clothes in yhe laundry i gained 1 lb, then 5 mins later I swept the kitcken and lost 2 lbs!? Wth does that mean my scale does not work this was done a couple mins apart. I didnt eat or drink anything in between. Thank u

Let''s assume you weigh 200lbs. Your weigh-ins are all within 3 pounds of eachother. That means you''re scale is probably accurate to plus or minus 1.5 lbs. That means it''s more than 99% accurate.

I don''t know how much precision you expect from a bathroom scale. If you think your car gets 30mpg and you measure it one day and it comes out 29.7 mpg and then the next day 30.3 mpg you''re not going to be demanding what the heck happened!

Don''t be obsessive about your weight. Just weigh yourself once a week and track the long term trend. Or take the average of the three or four times you weigh yourself in a day.

  • Gravity might have changed, or more likely some friction in your scale, especially if it''s not a digital weight. If it''s digital it just might not work. Do experiments to verify.
