Can I lose 23 pounds by spring break like this?
Foods to Lose Weight Healthily
Recommended Answer:
Add more fruits and vegetables. Your diet is lacking in enough variety that it's going to be very hard to stick with. I would replace some of the flax seed with alternative nuts and seeds. I'd add in a protein and a fruit or vegetable at lunch. Try alternating the brown rice with other healthy cooked grains and grain-like foods such as quinoa (see if you can find a wonderful quinoa/wild rice/brown rice/red rice mix by Truroots—my husband and I love it).
Completely leave out the laxative pills. (1) you do NOT need to "clean out" your colon. That's a myth. If you are eating healthy, getting enough fluids and fiber, it will take care of itself. (2) taking laxatives constantly can be downright dangerous. You SHOULD NOT DO THIS!
Be careful, too, with your exercise. Don't force it. You might want to alternate different exercises on different days. So maybe walk and do your sit-ups and pushups one day, go bicycling the next day, and mix in the other exercises.
You should be able to lose weight, but remember there is no quick weight loss that works, slow and steady with exercise and a healthy diet is the best way.
