Do most people face ups and downs while losing weight? TEN POINTS?

I lost 55lbs and gained 15 or 20 back. I am super depressed and discouraged to restart because I feel like I am just backtracking and relosing weight that I''ve already lost.

Part of the reason that I gained is because I started college and was more focused on school than a healthy diet and exercise.

Does this type of thing happen to a lot of people? Is weight loss always linear, or do people often face hurdles like this?

How can I get motivated and stop beating myself up over this?

How to Lose Weight Naturally - You''ll Wonder Why You Didn''t Lose Before

Recommended Answer:
You will always have weight problems unless you stick to a no-fat, high-fiber healthy diet and add exercise. However, college is good because you can spend time walking briskly from class to class. If you are just driving to each class, you are losing out. And you obviously had some success losing 55 lbs.

As long as people eat foods with fat, they will always have weight issues (Foods with fat; cheese, ice cream, pizza, hamburgers, bacon and eggs, tuna fish sandwiches, fries, fish, stroganoff, nachos, peanut butter sandwiches, butter, oily dressings, whole milk, 2% milk, 1% milk, chips, crackers, creamy sauces).

Most people go up and down continually on weight loss efforts. You had a setback because of focus on school.

Some people just decide to eat less or eat healthier. Some people eliminate animal products to lose. Some people have a good breakfast to not be hungry during the day, chew slowly and thoroughly, get proper sleep, and a have a high-fiber diet for better metabolism and weight loss. Some people go on a semi-starvation, count your calories restriction diet and lose only to gain it all back plus more when they are done.

Some people only eat grains, beans, vegetables and fresh fruits and only drink water and never worry about their weight again, maintaining their ideal weight as a healthy lifestyle.

Some people take baby steps to avoid the overwhelming depression of not being able to do it all - one new weight loss habit each week, over time it all adds up and they eventually get to their ideal weight with a lot of good habits built up.

will snacking on cuties (clementines) make me gain weight?

I usually eat around 1400 calories a day. Included in this intake is about 5 cuties (small clementines) a day. Everything else i eat is usually strictly fruits, veggies, or tofu. Will these clementines hurt me or reverse my weight loss? I'm 5'7 and 125 pounds if that helps.

Recommanded Answer:
Haha, of course not! Clementines have vitamin c, calcium, and potassium. Of course, you want to make sure you're also eating lots of other healthy foods and taking a multivitamin, so you're getting all the different vitamins you need.

Good luck!(:

  • No, citrus is very healthy

Does weight training and a diet high in protein and Omega 3 really prevent sagging skin after weight loss?

Tips on How to Lose Weight Fast for the New Year

Recommanded Answer:
Those things can HELP with sagging skin, but nothing will prevent your skin from sagging. Not even if you only lost 1-2lbs per week. If you lose too fast, you will have saggy skin. Weight lifting tightens the muscle beneath the skin, helping with appearances only. The saggy skin will still be there.

If I burn more than I eat how much weight lost?

I ate 200-250 calories today. I will burn off 700 from my workout. So I have a total of negative 450 calories to negative 500 calories today.
I am 5'1 113. Will this make me lose weight? If so how much?
Please don't say 'don't starve' or whatever. And please don't give me tips on eating more calories because I won't. I'm actually easing myself into a water fast so yeah. Just please answer the question!
Oh and if I eat 0 calories and burn 500-600, how much weight lost then?
Thanks so much! And just give me guesses please I know it's not entirely accurate.
