Easy Ways to Lose Weight and Burn Excess Fat Safely

Recommended Answer:
Absolutely have had one of those days. I used to be obsessed with the numbers on the scale and took that as a key to whether or not I was making progress. Problem is (and I'm sure you heard this and thought it was bs) lb for lb muscle takes up less space than fat. Your body also burns more calories to maintain that muscle than it does fat. If you've been working out, eating right and people are seeing a difference, you are probably losing fat and developing muscle at the same time. Check out the picture on this link. http://www.onemorebite-weightloss.com/muscle-to-fat.html
and whatever you do don't give up. I wouldn't see a change and I would give up and have a 5-10lb yo yo going, but now I'm finally making progress that I can see. Give yourself at least 8weeks. Good luck :)

  • Well you probably do look better than if people are saying that you are.
  • If you look better don't gain more weight
  • Talk to 3 trusted people, that will tell you the truth, and ask them what you should do :)

Does this sound like a good general health/weight loss plan?

I'm only looking to lose about 5 pounds as I am naturally a very small and lightweight person, however have gained about 5 pounds recently due to terrible eating habits! I want to become vegan (I'm already vegetarian) and am right now currently dealing with many binge eating problems. So, I decided this week I'll let myself eat how I want but switch over to the vegan diet (which will also be healthier, so hopefully if I am bingeing then it is on healthier things?) and then next week I'll continue with the vegan diet but I'll focus even more on the healthier aspect; as in not just eating vegan, but trying to make healthy choices with it (a banana over shreddies cereal, homemade soup over store-bought veggie burger etc...) I think if I switch to more and more healthier alternatives, the bingeing will subside as I tend to only binge on really nasty foods. Does this sound like a good plan? :)
5 pounds might look like nothing on other people but on me 5 pounds is a huuge difference! I am a VERY tiny girl and 5 pounds has made my stomach look like a giant blowfish. I have a fast metabolism so I don't gain alot from binge eating but it is really unhealthy for me to be eating this way and I want to stop mainly for my own health. Eating a healthier diet will help me overcome binge eating I think

How to Lose Weight Teens - Modern Teens Face More Than Hormonal Changes

Recommended Answer:
There are many simple things you can do. Here is what I would suggest:

1. Vary your caloric intake each day. For example, have 1500 one day, 1200 the next, 1700 the next, and so on. That way your body doesn't adjust to the calorie level.

2. Vary the foods you eat. Eat a great variety of healthy food.

3. Vary your exercise routines. Don't work out at the same time everyday. Sometimes work out in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes twice a day, and sometimes skip a day.

4. Vary the types of exercise you do. Don't do the same things everyday.

5. Include strength training/weight lifting as part of your exercise plan, but again don't do the same things everyday,

6. Incorporate as many types of aerobic exercise as you can. Each day vary the time, the intensity, and the type of exercise as much as possible.

7. Eliminate ALL junk food, sodas, pop, sweets, fried foods, fast foods, fruit juices, and processed foods. Everyday eat a healthy diet of fruit, veggies, a few nuts, lean meat and fish, whole grain breads and cereals, low fat dairy products.

Best Exercise To Lose Weight

How to motivate yourself to lose weight.

1. Announce it to a bunch of people. Tell your family and friends
that you are going to lose N pounds a month. It helps, because,
others will expect you to change and will ask you about your
progress.
2. Make a bet. Either with another friend, who is trying to
lose weight, or with someone who does not. You will feel like
winning, and winning that (maybe not that large) sum of money.
3. Buy a cute outfit, the size you want to become, and try it
on every evening.
4. You will need to exercise to lose weight, so find an
activity that you really enjoy.
5. Combine your goals. Say, you joined a gym, or started using a
swimming pool, or joined a badminton
club - use the occasion to meet people of opposite gender and
socialize. This way, exercise will be more enjoyable.
6. Keep a track of your progress. Photograph yourself once a week,
weight yourself, put the data down and make it your weekly ritual.
Seeing progress really helps.
7. Put photos of athletic looking men or women on your fridge. Every
time you open the door, you will look at them, and want to be like
them, that will help with binging.
8. Find same-minded people. Join a club, or find a group of people
who are trying to lose weight, to mutually support each other.
It will boost your social life, too.
9. Often, people eat because they are bored. Evaluate your life and
try to find ways to make it more interesting (evening classes, going
outs, volunteering, a new hobby). This will keep you busy and keep
your mind off eating.
10. Spend more time with your dog or get one from a shelter. You will
do a good deed, plus will keep active and occupied, walking it out.
Meet other dog lovers in your area, to make it more sociable.

  • Drink diet Soda
    LOL
  • Have a friend or a relative start a workout plan with you. Go to the gym!!! I know having a pal to tag along with you to the gym is some good motivation.... Also think how good you will feel and look when you lose the weight. That should get you motivated. Good Luck! Hope I helped! ((:
  • GO FATTY GO!
  • Awwwwwwww.. It isn't that hard to loose weight... as a matter of fact it is very easy indeed.. all you have to do is jus follow this chart and 'm sure you will find the result.. but strictly follow this chart..!! 'm sure you will if you are motivated to lose weight.. :)

During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol
You must drink 10 glasses of water each day

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

Day Two All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

Day Three A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.

Day Four Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.

Day Five Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

Day Six Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.

Day Seven Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.
  • I find the best way to motivate someone to lose way is to say- " hey fat ass go to the gym"

Making a person feel bad will force them to adjust to the social equalities to the communities in which this person lives.
  • When you want to eat but know you can't, think about the body you want, think about being fat and all the ways you are limiting yourself by having that extra fat. You made a commitment to yourself, don't break it. The video below always helps too.

  • Hey heres what I did. I use an app called MyFitnessPal on my phone, most of my friends use it and it works really well. I kind of make it a game and I actually really enjoy eating well now. It records all of your nutritional details so I aim for healthier every day! It turns eating well into a game and I have fun trying to do better each day. Now my diets amazing and I have been loosing weight like crazy.

Also I personally watch Rocky every once and a while just to pump me up.
  • Why do you need to lose weight? Because you sit in your a*s when you should be working out. Because you eat pizza when you should eat grilled chicken and rice. Because you don't read up enough on fitness. Because your friends always invite you to McDonalds. Because you think it's rude to decline. Because you drink soda instead of water. Because running on a treadmill is your idea of a workout. Because ice cream is your best friend. Because you don't give a sh1t. Because your friend's don't give a sh1t. Because you wake up feeling like sh1t. Because you think starving yourself is good way to diet. Because you don't sweat. Because you stay up late and feel tired the next day. Because you eat when you feel good. Because you eat when you feel bad.
I could go on, but I think you get the picture. You need to identify, and then address the issues that caused to to put on weight in the first place. What will happen if you lose 20lbs by the 9th of June. Will you just revert back to being 20lbs heavier. Look at it as more of a marathon than a sprint. You want to have a body that you can maintain for the rest of your life.

Why People Want to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
you need 1.5 grams of protein for each pound u weigh
an also 20x your body weight overall calories
an lift heavy

  • junk food will not help with muscle gain so drop that (of course have some every now and again). You want to add calories by adding more protein to your diet (meat, eggs, milk, beans, peanut butter, etc).
  • Start out with cardio to get your heart rate going do at least 20 minutes of cardio before working out every day and 40 minutes of lifting going all out every single day, monday wednesday friday do upper half of your body (arms=biceps triceps and grip) neck and abs, tuesday thursday saturday do your back and legs with sunday being your resting day, as for what to eat: eat lean meats like turkey tuna fish chicken buffalo shark cartilage, whatever you like to eat out of those, buffalo is the leanest meat you can eat, vegetables, stay away from fast food and chips and anything with grease sugar or chocolate, good luck bud just remember stay focused even when you feel like giving up just remember not only are you getting the body you want but youre adding days to your life.
  • Just change your diet. Eat protein and vegetables and you will be fine. Workout. Find an activity that you be consistent with. Your body is changing and if you stay consistent with a healthy diet, work hard and dedicate yourself, you will burn the fat and build muscle.
  • keep up the good work, what your doing is all you need to do. People try roids and thats fine as long as you do your homework.
  • I was wondering whether there was a quick way to burn off calories without increasing my muscles?
  • You should probably be eating about 2,500 calories a day at least. I would focus on eating a lot of protein and carbohydrates for energy.
  • you dont need extra calories to repair muscle, just drink a protein shake

ok to anyone that beleaves eating a 1300 calorie diet is to little read this artical?

i just got told by adrian bryant a american athlete, personal trainer, fitness author, blogger and entrepreneur that i could eat 1300 calories a day in exercise but he recommends exercising before eating now this is a guy that really knows his stuff on fitness in for anyone that beleaves that you would go into starvation mode at 1300 like i said look at this artical http://www.nowloss.com/starvation-mode-myth.htm then tell me what you think

Walking to Lose Weight - Fitness Tips For Any Season

Recommended Answer:
No, he's just dispelling the myth of 'starvation mode', which basically implies you do not lose body fat when you eat too little. The reality is you most certainly do lose body fat, but you also lose large amount of lean (muscle) mass, as is evident from the photos in the article of the starving men. I personally would rather lose weight gradually, maintain as much lean mass as possible, and look fit and healthy rather than a concentration camp victim. Eating 500 calories below maintenance is what is recommended for fat loss. That means for the average man who burns roughly 2500 calories a day, 2000 calories will result in a loss of 1lb fat per week. The average woman who burns around 2000 calories a day can lose 1lb per week on 1500 calories a day.

Wondering How To Lose Weight Quick?

Recommended Answer:
unless you are going on a MAJOR weight loss plan, otherwise this would probably make you pass out

  • No it sucks. Where's the protein?
  • Not at all. You need to eat somewhat like a normal person. That's not enough food. You're going to hurt your metabolism.
  • GOD BLESS U
  • i do 400 pushups and situps a day
  • It's awful!

No where near enough calories to start with. You need around 2,000 per day to EFFECTIVELY lose weight. If you starve yourself you can PERMANENTLY damage your metabolism.

You're also eating way too much sugar and not getting enough nutrients.

Whenever you eat anything that has "lite" or "light" in its name then it has LESS fat but MORE sugar. Go compare the nutrient panels of some yoghurts the next time you're at the supermarket and you'll see this is true.

Crackers get broken down by the body as glucose (sugar).

I'm not even going to comment on "honey nut chex cereal". Sheesh!

You should eat plenty of non-starchy vegetables - green beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce, cauliflower, asparagus, carrots, kale, etc. Ten plus serves per day.

You should also eat adequate protein and good fats - grass fed meat, fish, eggs, cheeses, nuts & seeds.

You should NOT eat any sugars or starchy foods - potatoes, rice, bread, wheat, flour, pasta, etc. This is a totally DO NOT EAT.

You can slip in fruit occasionally, but no more than one per day.

If you can do this diet you can eat as much of it as you want. You're very unlikely to be able to eat too many calories. You will have an abundance of nutrients. And you will feel full and you will lose weight (fat) in the fastest way possible. Exercise is recommended but it is optional.
