I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

Will eating two meals a day affect my weight loss and fitness journey?

Before you get the wrong idea, I'm not trying to starve myself in anyway. I'm a 15 year old girl who is currently trying to have a change of lifestyle to be healthier and fit. About a week ago, I decided that it was time to stop lazying around and get fit. As I began to exercise more (about 30 minutes to an hour), I noticed I have started to eat less. For example, today. I woke up a bit later than usual and decided that I would exercise later rather than first thing in the morning. So I had my breakfast and then 4 hours later (after a long mental debate) I began to exercise. I finished at about 2 hours later. Then I had my lunch (which was actually dinner). I always read that for healthier weight loss, you should eat 5-6 small meals a day. Is how I'm eating bad, or should I continue to go on like this? Also, how big should a meal be? Thanks.

How to Lose Weight & Keep a Healthy Looking Face

So, for the normal person, 2 - 3 meals per day is fine. A body builder or someone who is really training hard will eat 5-6 small meals a day.Onto your questions. Eating two meals a day is good and bad and here is why:People think that eating two meals means skipping the third. That is when it is bad. Instead, eat a high protein breakfast (Eggs, Bacon, Milk, ect...). You will be pretty full for a while and your metabolism will get a good kick start. For lunch, eat something like a quesadilla or turkey sandwich. For dinner, eat something small at your discression. The problem with dinner is most people think "I ate so well all day and worked out, I deserve a good, big meal now". While honestly you do deserve it, it doesn't work like that. You will lose all of your gains if you eat a big meal from Arby's. If you are going to eat a big meal, make it a sandwich shop (Subway) or pasta (Fazolis). If you eat carbs you can burn them easily unlike fat from a burgerHope I helped!

Other Answers:

  • Eating more meals does not help with weight loss. Its just the overall calories for the day that matters. If you want to eat 2 meals a day that's fine just make sure they are bigger meals so you get in enough calories.
  • Yes, 5-6 small meals is way better than 2 big ones. Of course when I talk about small meals, I'm talking about healthy snacks, salads with steak, fruits, these kind of meals. If you give your stomach small healthy meals, it will start burning the food more efficiently and as fruits and greens take more energy to assimilate, it will help you lose more weight than a food that's easy to decompose and store (as fat) for energy - like sugar based food, bread, pasta, etc.. Makes sense? If your body knows it's getting food regularly, it will stop believing it needs to store fat for "rainy days" and your metabolism will be boosted (this is the reason some people get away with eating a lot and never get fat - their machine is working better; for some people it's genes for others is the result of a carefully planned meal plan).

What is the best way to slim down my stomache and thighs in a month?

It's the beggining to an end of my summer break and all my plans are pretty much over. I have a month before school starts and I really want to slim down before it begins. Im 185lbs and I really want to slim down quick. I'll be home basically for the rest of my summer. I want to be very strict with this weight loss and try to lose 15-20lbs in the month. I live walking distance from a gym but I dont really know what excercizes I should do to trim down a bit. I don't want to be buff, just thinner. I already drink nothing but water recently and I go on this 7 mile trail with my bike now and then. But like I said not too sure what else I should do to lose the weight in the month, and what foods to eat. Any suggestions? I'm a male, by the way. Just in case that matters.

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weightevenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight inspecific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they areyour problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will haveto work double on them. The best approach is this:1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normalweight, lower for overweight).2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.3. Target your problem areas with exercises.an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on astool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make surethat it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or youwill damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of yourbody back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second andmove it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week addto the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! Your stomach would be flatter and stronger. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than thesecrunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results ATALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week. • jump rope is best.
  • As much as you hate what I'm gonna say , run around 5 miles a day and eat less than 2k calories a day. Stay away from carbs for like 2 or 3 days tops but not completely because your body needs them. You will shed pounds just put the hardwork and no fast ffood. Start somewhere and work yourself towards your goals.
  • Excess stomach fat has the potential to cause numerous health problems. According to "USA Today," people with large stomachs are more likely to also have deep hidden deposits of fat around internal organs. This can increase your risk of serious health problems, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and certain types of cancer. Because of the risks to your health, it is important to slim down large stomachs and do what is necessary to maintain the weight loss. You can't spot-reduce fat in the stomach, however, so a comprehensive total-body approach to fat reduction is necessary.

How to fix the following deformities?

I have been told that I have a double chin (which I've repetitively fasted to get rid of it), messed up hair (which I've worked my ass of to fix, and I'm considering shaving it all off), scrawniness (I'm unable to fix it) and I feel obese at 6'2.5 and 132 pounds with me wanting to lose weight. I also am hideous everywhere else from what I've been told. How do I fix all of this? I'm considering smoking Tobacco excessively hoping that it fixes it.

  • Huh? You need to stop listening to what other people are telling you about yourself- it's like poison to your mind. Those people who said you are hideous are the ugly ones who should change, they're shallow and mindless but sadly exist everywhere in society. Seriously get away from the people telling you these things, you don't need that- I mean you really don't. To lose weight, don't diet- just eat less, eat more protein and take vitamins, who cares if you have no muscle you'll be too healthy to care. Tobacco won't help anything but cause more harm to your body. Hang around positive people who make you feel good! That will definitely improve your body insecurities and give you courage.

Three Amazing Steps To Losing Weight

Recommended Answer:
Trust me they don''t work. I tried EVERYTHING to lose weight. I finally managed to succeed by keeping my calorie intake around 1400-1600 calories a day, and walking 30-45 minutes several times a week. That''s the best way to do it.

  • It is a waste of money and could negatively affect you. Avoid them. The ONLY way to lose weight permanently is to learn to eat correctly. Eliminate ALL fast food, junk food, soda and sugary drinks from your diet. Instead, eat 5 small meals a day that consist of around 50% protein/30% carbs/20% fats and make sure that you are eating at least 1200 calories a day. Include a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily and start exercising. Start a combination of cardio and weight training for 5 to 6 days a week. Nothing else will work, especially fad diets that can actually hurt you more than help you.
  • You could I think. But it''ll be pretty effed up.
If you''re actually overweight then you''ll lose weight quicker then other people if you diet normally.
  • No, you really shouldn''t. It could really harm your body. If you want to lose weight, control your diet and exercise more.
  • Diet pills are dangerous. The only way to lose weight and become healthy is through diet and exercise. Try a program like P90-X along with a healthy diet. You''ll be amazed by the results you get. You should be eating at least three meals a day. If you don''t have time for a real meal you could always try a meal replacement shake such as Shakeology. I drink it for breakfast everyday. It tastes great and has all vitamins and nutrients your body needs to recover from exercising. http://www.myshakeology.com/PushPlayGetFit

How can I accept the fact that junk food is no longer a part of my life? TEN POINTS?

I recently lost 55lbs through diet and exercise. I would be good 6 days a week, then eat whatever I wanted on Sundays (this was usually classified as a binge).

Anyhow, I''d recently gained 20lbs back and am kicking my butt into gear to lose that, plus an additional 10lbs.

My question is this: Should I keep my cheat day, or continue to go as hard as possible?

I have decided that I want to cut the cheat day because I am literally a junk food addict. I experience withdrawal when not eating junk, and whether or not I can have junk dictates my happiness. I am literally depressed when I can''t stuff my face with greasy, sugary foods. I feel that by eating these foods once a week, I am reinforcing the cravings and keeping myself addicted. I want to cut junk food completely out of my life. Of course I will eat out or have a slice of cake occasionally if the occasion calls for it, but no more weekly binges.

How can I accept the fact that junk is no longer a part of my life? I feel like the only thing that got me through the weeks on my diet before was thoughts of junk food on Sundays. That is no way to live. i don''t want food to control my life anymore.

How can I finally end this cycle? Will it get easier not to eat junk overtime? How can I not be depressed over my loss of junk food?

Three Amazing Steps To Losing Weight

Recommended Answer:
Cheat days are one of the stupidest things I''ve heard of. Most people use them as an excuse to consume 3X more calories than they should. No, you shouldn''t keep the ''cheat day.''

Instead allow yourself a healthier, tasty treat each day. Spread out the extra calories so that you don''t sabotage yourself. Plan it right into your meal plan for the day. I love those jumbo blueberry muffins. They are high in fats and carbs so I make sure to balance it out and keep my calories for the day where they should be. Make sure you burn a few extra calories too if you go over your calories for the day; but try not to make going over for treats a regular occurrence.

Binging is a mindset. If it''s allowed sometimes then you really haven''t stopped the behavioural pattern that is making you gain the weight. Think about why you binge. Do you think you''re ''owed'' the treats for doing so well? Do you restrict your calories too much and give into cravings for high calorie junk foods? Do you just really like the taste? If so, isn''t there any healthier options you could snack on instead? Is it boredom? Is it thirst? Figure out why and then fix it.

  • You have to decide what is more important:

Healthy, fit body or junk food.

Personally, I choose health over junk. A slice of pizza every once in awhile is okay. Binging once a week is not. It can and does still lead to weight gain as you''ve discovered.

You have to start training yourself mentally to be happy with eating healthy and exercising regularly instead of being miserable when you don''t eat crap. It''s hard to do but once you train and discipline yourself saying no to garbage becomes a whole hell of a lot easier.

Quick Weight Loss Tips - How to Lose Weight Safely and Sustainably

Recommended Answer:
About 2 months with the right diet. A good plan would be:

Breakfast: low fat milk on cooked 9-grain cereal (from health food store), mixed with cooked oatmeal and wheat bran. Add some nuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts and yogurt w/fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit: banana, orange, apple, kiwi, grapes, peach, nectarine, cherries, pineapple. No chips and nothing ever from a vending machine.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.

Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes.

Foods to avoid: junk food, pastries, desserts, sugar, salty foods, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fatty/greasy foods (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza), pasta, potatoes, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream, fast food, soda, chips. And of course no tobacco or alcohol in any form. Both of those add wrinkles and destroy your brain. No oil except olive and mac nut. Coffee also rots your brain.

To keep your skin clear, drink water. Veg. juice is good too. But not canned juice (too much sugar.)

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Also hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, badminton, tennis...

If you lack energy to exercise, take stress B vitamins.
To lose weight, try an appetite suppressant.

  • if you work hard enough, you could lose 2lbs a week. so I''m thinking around 2 months or so
  • It might take about a good month and some weeks
  • Depends... Your weight loss will depend on your genetics, exercise/activity level, your diet, hydration levels and your sleep patterns.

    1. Drink plenty of water
    2. Avoid processed foods
    3. Eat lean meats, veggies/fruits and good fats
    4. Exercise regularly
    5. Avoid alcohol in excess
    6. Try to sleep 6-8 hrs per night
    7. Manage stress

If you stick to these basics, there is no reason why you can''t lose 1-2 pounds per week.

    That''s the recipe!!! Good Luck.
  • It depends on how fat you are at this point. The more obese and otu of shape you are the easier it will be to lose the weight.

    1. Avoid processed foods (ex. anything in a wrapper).
    2. Stick to: lean meats, veggies, fruits, and whole grains.
    3. Drink lots of water it helps your metabolism.
    4. Exercise. If you dont'' know how, go on youtube for ideas.
  • Theres a calculator for this I''ve been using it recently.
You tell it your goal how much you want to lose a week so how every weeks you have till you go and divide it up. Then add your meals (once you''ve added one once you can click them in after that) add any exercise you do, and it calculates every time you add something if you are on target to lose said lb''s that week or gain...

What is good about a gadget like this is that you can add your meals for the day before you have them, then you can tweak them so you know you''re always on target. It also add cholesterol levels which I just love.. It shocked me how high mine was I always thought my diet was quite healthy lol :)

I promise you, you won''t regret trying it. You might be like I was and a bit flaky with it to start with, but I don''t know of anything else as useful as this

Can a thin girl lose 10 pounds?

I am naturally thin not like stick thin but thin curvy. I need to lose 10 pounds for personal reason to become skinny for a role I am in. I can gain the weight back if I want to but I don't want to. I don't want to hear "no don't lose it!" Because I will NOT listen I am just asking if I could lose 5-10 pounds in two weeks. I have a decent metabolism and don't eat an excess amount of calories I eat in the "matience" to "fat burning range" and am a healthy teen I don't have any problems with going to the bathroom or anything.

Anyways I plan on doing 45 minutes of cardio 5 days a week (I have a recumbuent bike) and I have an ab line and flat stomach so to tone my ab muscles more will do sit ups, push ups, the mountain climber, plank, the bicycle) and some squats and such to tone my butt, thighs and legs they aren't like fat or anything. Will I see weight loss? I'm doing it for a role in a play and want to do it the healthy way as appose to fasting or crash dieting.

I've noticed that my face is one of the first places I notice my weight loss. I would say between 5-10 pounds you will start noticing a difference!

  • ..eat less..
  • no
  • Yes you can, but you have to stick to this routine. Don't give up half way, because that will stop you from losing weight. Also a more efficient way to lose weight, is to cut down on the amount of carbs you eat. The only worry about exercising to lose weight, is it may just tone you instead, but thats probably not going to happen.
  • You need to watch what you eat aswell, your body naturally gets much hungrier when you start exercising, so if you don't watch it you might GAIN weight.

If you're pretty thin it might be hard to lose 10 pounds in two weeks, but 5 pounds is doable.
