Why am I having a weird period?

My period usually always starts on the 10th but it was 2 days late. And I only gets cramps my first day of my period but I've had it everyday now, an my head has been pounding an wont stop no matter what I take for it. I have a six day cycle and we are going on seven days now, and I have no energy to workout like normal, something's just really off, it's not normal, I have a weird feeling like something's wrong, is it just in my head?

How to Lose Weight in Just 4 Weeks

Recommended Answer:

You are estrogen deficient. When estrogen gets too low, periods are irregular, debilitating, and last for days. This is a direct result of estrogen deficiency. Your period is supposed to last between three to five days and shutting off by day six. Day six is when estrogen begins to increase to a peak by day 12 (full moon if your cycling correctly). The increased estrogen on day six sends a signal to the brain that it's time to shut down the blood flow. If estrogen doesn't get high enough to do that, you'll have a period much longer than five days. Also, when estrogen is low, so is a woman's energy, her libido, her sleep, her mood, her motivation, her ability to lose fat in the arms and belly. Women are more susceptible to migraines and headaches, as well.Find yourself a good Functional Medicine doctor who practices bioidentical, rhythmic dosing, hormone restoration. It won't be easy but your regular doctor or Ob-Gyn do not have the same training as a Functional Medicine trained doctor.

  • You know our bodies change and so a variety of things could cause you to have a different period than you're used to. It could be stress or even if you are hanging out with different girls it's weird but somehow when you hang out with someone (that's a girl) you will start to have your periods around the same time. If you are really worried about it then go see a doctor :)
