It''s a little hard to keep my diet in check. I''m constantly on the go (and your typical "broke" college student ;) ) so I grab a banana in the morning and if I forget or don''t have time to pack something I usually skip meaIs until I get home in the evening, or I give in and grab a slice of pizza or a gyro. I don''t even drink soda once in a week...maybe every other. But I do binge on orange juice(might be a problem?)- Not the best diet, I know.
Any ideas for a poor big girl, who''s ready to squeeze in the time to take care of herself?
How to Lose Weight - Don''t Lose Your Sleep and You''ll Lose Your Weight

Around 160lbs is a healthy weight for your height, but that also depends on your body composition. You may have a muscular frame, so give or take 5 pounds. Anyway, the best thing for you to do is drink a gallon of water a day. Seems like your walk is about all the exercise you really need. Keep that up.
Also, plan your meals the night before. Its okay to skip a meal, but you need to skip the later one (dinner) rather than the ones in the middle of the day. You want to get your calories eaten by 6 or 7pm. Drink water and eat fruit after that if needed. But the biggest key is the water. It flushes your system and allows your digestion to be better, and helps increase your metabolism. Oh, and the orange juice (although it has vitamin c that is good for you) is FULL OF SUGAR and calories. So, limit how much you drink. You may want to switch to grapefruit juice instead. I''m sure you can do it. Drink the water, you will see a transformation in a few months.
- Anywhere in between 142 - 180 pounds.
- I believe 150-190lb is the healthy range. To lose weight, you need to reduce calorie intake by about 500 per day. So let''s say you burn 2500 calories in a typical day (with a moderately active lifestyle), if you consume 2000 calories a day, you should lose approx 1lb of fat per week. Hope this helps.
