How to Lose Weight Gain Muscle

Recommended Answer:

I suggest doing crunches, and also laying down and pulling your (stiff) legs up to grow your lower abs, often a sore spot regarding muscle definition. To lose the weight, go cardio all the way, using this method:20 secs exercise, as fast as you can10 s restdo this with:- jumping jacks- ski jacks- side to side jumps- "wacky jacks"- squat jumps- mountain climbers.do these for around 25 mins, it's a good cardio, maybe look something harder up, because i don't know your fitness level. you should aim for feeling like puking and then a little more, because the nausea means you ran out of glucose, so it starts burning fat after that. Everybody has a sixpack, but often it's hidden beneath a layer of fat.don't do ab exercises every day, but every other day. Also, if you work out your whole body, it will stimulate muscle growth.eat healthy, lots of vegetables, avoid pop, and especially "no fat" and "no sugar" food. these foods actually contain processed ingredients that your body can't recognise and so it stores it, like hydrogenated oil. Also avoid high fructose corn syrup, because lots of american foods have it.

Other Answers:

  • Doing sit-ups can really help you get six pack, pretty fast too. When i was younger, I would do 50 sit-ups a day and I started noticing a six pack about 2 weeks after.
  • Low bodyfat + decent muscle mass = six packMost people lack the decent muscle mass part. Just like any other muscle, abs respond best to heavy weights (compound lifts and direct ab work) whilst being in a calorie surplus to gain weight. Once you've built the muscle you then start cutting (calorie deficit) to reveal your abs.
  • We all have six packs. Here is a page that really goes into great detail about working and using your core and abs through the day becoming very aware of them even when you aren't traditionally working out.Everything adds up.The page is titled exercises for women over a certain age, however the tips in it and ideas were extremely helpful.Well worth checking out!

HELP! IM DESPERATE!! How do I lose 60 in 2 1/2 months?? I''m tired of being fat, please help me! :''(?

I''m a 16 year old female and I''m 5''1... I weigh 189.2 pounds. I know 60 pounds in 2 1/2 months is a lot but I don''t care. I don''t want to do it the "healthy" way. I''m going on a trip in June to Utah to see friends I haven''t seen in almost 2 years. We''ll be hiking and swimming and camping and I want to be able to keep up. I am sooo tired of being fat! It''s so miserable being fat. I''m depressed because of it, and I cry every night. I seriously can''t stand it. I tried a diet the other day and I only lasted three days. I''m weak and I''m ashamed of it. I seriously think my body is actually addicted to junk food. I don''t eat fast food that much, maybe once a month. I hardly drink any soda but I over eat. PLEASE help! I need to lose this weight, it''s made me have bad grades in school since I don''t want to go out and actually log on my hours (I go to an online school, and do it at the library).... I don''t care if its unhealthy, I just don''t care anymore. I just want this over with, please help me. I''m seriously desperate! Thank you :)

(P.s. I can''t afford to go to the gym, my family is broke. I can buy workout DVD''s though)

Is Going To a Diet and Weight Loss Clinic the Perfect Solution to Losing Weight?

Recommended Answer:
It''s not the healthiest choice long-term, but if you want to lose a lot quickly, Atkins is really effective. If you can really commit and stay under 15 carbs a day, the weight will fly off. Eat only meat, eggs, and some cheese. It''s pretty hard to get started on, but after a few days it gets easier. If you do any kind of workout it will help you to be more lean and toned as you lose the weight, and will also help you to keep it off after you lose the weight and begin eating carbs again. YouTube can show you some exercises for free, and fitness websites (like Spark People) can help with support. I don''t know how feasible 60 lbs in 2.5 months is, but you can definitely get a really good start in that time and start to feel better about yourself, good luck :)

  • okay, im not a professional, but ive helped a 283 pound friend gown down to about 150, my best advice is, chew your food thoroughly, as it helps your body not work to hard, drink lotsa water, and sweat! if you wanna have a firm bum just run! how i lost my weight was running, chewing my mcdoubles right, not eating frenchfries, drinking water, and limiting how much i eat, not what i eat ;)

    good luck!
  • No need to go to the gym; you can always search for good training and weight management videos over the net for info. Start eating healthy and keep an active lifestyle so you can burn down calories and fats the easy and more enjoyable way (through sports and related fun-filled physical activities). You can also search for fat burners and weight loss supplements, as well as workout supplements like Xtend (http://www.nutritionwarehouse.com.au/scivation-xtend-pr-801.html) for maximum results and more optimized effectiveness of your workouts. Good luck on achieving your fitness goals!
  • have three times a day pretty light meals... if possible just veg salad...and lots of water.

Go for walks,, not joggs ( u wont be able to due to dieting )
  • you can never lose that amount in that time, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and failure. you should of done something about it sooner. sensible weight loss is 2lb per week.
  • Amputate limbs.

What is a healthy weight for a 6''1 female and how can I get there?

Okay, So I am 19 years old, African American, around 6''1 and about 200 pounds. I have a "large frame". I wouldn''t consider myself horribly over-weight. The "extra" is pretty much just in the stomach and arms, which I have gotten really good at concealing. People are shocked when I tell them how much I weigh and they say the weight is because I''m tall. (But I know my deep dark secret. haha) I actually lost around 20 pounds in the last 7 months. Not by choice really, only because I now live off campus and have to power walk a mile to the bus stop 2-4 times a day(because I live in the mountains, the walk is mostly up hill) with a 30-40 lb backpack. I feel like I should have lost more, but my weight just seems to teeter around 200-202.
It''s a little hard to keep my diet in check. I''m constantly on the go (and your typical "broke" college student ;) ) so I grab a banana in the morning and if I forget or don''t have time to pack something I usually skip meaIs until I get home in the evening, or I give in and grab a slice of pizza or a gyro. I don''t even drink soda once in a week...maybe every other. But I do binge on orange juice(might be a problem?)- Not the best diet, I know.
Any ideas for a poor big girl, who''s ready to squeeze in the time to take care of herself?

How to Lose Weight - Don''t Lose Your Sleep and You''ll Lose Your Weight

Recommended Answer:
Around 160lbs is a healthy weight for your height, but that also depends on your body composition. You may have a muscular frame, so give or take 5 pounds. Anyway, the best thing for you to do is drink a gallon of water a day. Seems like your walk is about all the exercise you really need. Keep that up.
Also, plan your meals the night before. Its okay to skip a meal, but you need to skip the later one (dinner) rather than the ones in the middle of the day. You want to get your calories eaten by 6 or 7pm. Drink water and eat fruit after that if needed. But the biggest key is the water. It flushes your system and allows your digestion to be better, and helps increase your metabolism. Oh, and the orange juice (although it has vitamin c that is good for you) is FULL OF SUGAR and calories. So, limit how much you drink. You may want to switch to grapefruit juice instead. I''m sure you can do it. Drink the water, you will see a transformation in a few months.

  • Anywhere in between 142 - 180 pounds.
  • I believe 150-190lb is the healthy range. To lose weight, you need to reduce calorie intake by about 500 per day. So let''s say you burn 2500 calories in a typical day (with a moderately active lifestyle), if you consume 2000 calories a day, you should lose approx 1lb of fat per week. Hope this helps.
  • You should check out http://goo.gl/QTjqU for a superb weight loss program
  • do some weights, maybe some cardio
  • Yeah thats healthy you could even put on more weight and it´d still be healthy
  • I am a 5''1", 18 year old female....what is a healthy weight for me?

Can a thin girl lose 10 pounds?

I am naturally thin not like stick thin but thin curvy. I need to lose 10 pounds for personal reason to become skinny for a role I am in. I can gain the weight back if I want to but I don't want to. I don't want to hear "no don't lose it!" Because I will NOT listen I am just asking if I could lose 5-10 pounds in two weeks. I have a decent metabolism and don't eat an excess amount of calories I eat in the "matience" to "fat burning range" and am a healthy teen I don't have any problems with going to the bathroom or anything.

Anyways I plan on doing 45 minutes of cardio 5 days a week (I have a recumbuent bike) and I have an ab line and flat stomach so to tone my ab muscles more will do sit ups, push ups, the mountain climber, plank, the bicycle) and some squats and such to tone my butt, thighs and legs they aren't like fat or anything. Will I see weight loss? I'm doing it for a role in a play and want to do it the healthy way as appose to fasting or crash dieting.

Tips To Lose Weight Fast

Recommended Answer:
I've noticed that my face is one of the first places I notice my weight loss. I would say between 5-10 pounds you will start noticing a difference!

  • ..eat less..
  • no
  • Yes you can, but you have to stick to this routine. Don't give up half way, because that will stop you from losing weight. Also a more efficient way to lose weight, is to cut down on the amount of carbs you eat. The only worry about exercising to lose weight, is it may just tone you instead, but thats probably not going to happen.
  • You need to watch what you eat aswell, your body naturally gets much hungrier when you start exercising, so if you don't watch it you might GAIN weight.

If you're pretty thin it might be hard to lose 10 pounds in two weeks, but 5 pounds is doable.
  • yes
  • its not healthy to lose more than 2 pounds a week
