How to organize my schedule to fit in healthy lifestyle?

I am 28 years old and a newbie teacher who still lives at home with parents. I have 6 months of internship left and I know that my contract won''t be extended, so I might face unemployment soon. I enjoy my job and think I am doing very well, but it can be stressful at times (sometimes over 40 hours a week). I know I should be studying for my boards exam in May/June but at the same time I am wondering how to fit in exercise and healthy lifestyle in it. I had been dealing with a bad period of insomnia for over a month and a severe anxiety that caused a 10 pound weight drop in a month. I am doing better now in terms of stress and getting decent amount of sleep. I sleep pretty well at night and can take occasional naps without them affecting my sleep patterns now. When I feel sleep deprived and tired I lack energy to do anything, even basic household chores.

I was thinking about joining a gym but Les Milles programs are expensive (3 month pass is 150 euros) and going there 4 times per week + 34 euros for a bus pass. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed just by taking care of my chores and cooking meals, so I wonder how realistic is that goal for myself. The gym I want to go is far away, about 20 min bus drive, so I was thinking about exercising on the weekends.I know I should be losing more weight because I am over 210 pounds but don''t want to stress myself out more than necessary. Sometimes I get home in the afternoon and have an exhaustion headache, so I really don''t feel like going out. I don''t have a boyfriend now or many friends. Fortunately I don''t have kids and still live at home, so my mom helps a lot around the house. What would you recommend in terms of time managment and setting realistic goals?

I studied this myself & lost weight than others who exercised from just dieting. Consume fewer calories than you maintanece diet. Eat foods only from nature. Watch our for carbs! There are a lot of foods thinking is healthy but can add weight. Like bananas whether its a fruit still has sugars. Even whole grain or wheat bread! Carbs carbs carbs. Stick to chicken, fish, then beef in that order. Eat lots of vegetables! Take fish oil to add healthy fats to your diet cuz the body needs some fat regardless. Buy a whey protein shake. Protein shake can help you lose weight cuz protein takes a lot of energy for the body to digest & it''s good for you. Also exercising is only 30% of you goal. Rest is diet! It makes

  • I have lost over 120 pounds since Feb 2012 by working hard at nutrition and excercise. There are many things that can be done without going to a gym - if you do go to one, pick a good time and stick to it. How about before going to work - 7am or in evening. Even if I do not feel like it, I still excercise and when in your system, feel better, more energized and it helps with insomnia.
Take the stairs, dance around your room, use the wall to do squats or a chair. Just walk walk walk and since you take a bus, get off a couple of stops before your stop.
A good healthy lifestyle is forever and i know as i have my life back. ( i eat all foods, jsut smaller portions and journal everything i eat. This site has helped me - sparkpeople.com. if you do go to a gym, go regularly and ask staff for help .
