Hi Savana,Calculating the number of calories you need to lose weight is a relatively simple, three-step process.STEP 1Calculate your BMRYour estimated basal metabolic rate (BMR) is: 1,842 calories/daySTEP 2Multiply your current level of physical activity with your BMRFor example: we'll choose an activity factor of 1.55 (Moderately active lifestyle - if you do moderate exercise three to five days per week, common for most people) and multiply that by 1842 calories, giving us 2855 calories. THIS NUMBER IS YOUR TOTAL CALORIC NEEDS, OR ROUGHLY THE AMOUNT OF CALORIES THAT YOU NEED TO EAT EACH DAY TO MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT.STEP 3To lose weight, you need to eat less than this. How much less? That's the next question. In general, to lose 1 pound a week you need eat less 3500 calories a week, 3500 calories equals one pound of body weight (both protein and fat combined). This can be done by simply cutting out 500 extra calories a day for 7 days. (500 x 7 = 3500) However, THIS IS ONLY A THEORETICAL NUMBER, because not only is the 3500 calorie guideline arbitrary, but everyone has a different metabolism that burns calories at different rates. So, the answer to your question: you should eat approx. 2355 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week (assuming you have moderately active lifestyle).

  • Okay so, what you should do is eat 500 calories less than you're already eating. This way with the exercise you should lose atleast a pound a week. However, its important you don't eat under 1200 calories or else your body will go into starvation mode and possibly end up gaining. So say you eat 2000 right now, start eating 1500. If you don't know how much you're eating, eat normally for the next few days and count the calories at the end of the day. 1lb a week might sound a bit slow idk. But you have basically a whole year so you'll definitely get to your goal by next summer. Good luck:)

How to Be Lazy and Lose Weight

My best advice for you is to eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either, jogging or going for a long run everyday.. If you do these things along with push-ups, sit ups, and jumping jacks, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly increase your chances of becoming a successful, top notch high school varsity football player, who may go on to play college ball..... Good luck.....

Other Answers:

  • run, jump rope, do sprint exercises and do mostly cardio if you want to lose weight and get stamina.
  • Aerobics. Jog around the track every day.
  • In addition to doing push ups and running every day, my best advice for you this month (and every offseason) is to eat healthy, and exercise by doing weight lifting. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, into better shape, and lose some weight, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch football player.

how can i lose only 10-15 lbs?

i am female, 14 almost 15, 5'2 and i am about 145 lbs. i have been trying to lose weight since july 10th. i went 3 weeks without any dairy (cant have it from doctor) starch and sugar foods like cookies and chips and even soda (i never really drink soda at all) all i ate was fruits, veggies, and i made chicken, fish, and lean meats with olive oil and i drink lots of water. i only cheated for 3 days because i felt really weak from no carbs ( i had a cup of blueberry cobbler and tiny pieces of chocolate). i never really liked junk food anyways. so then i went another 5- 7 days going back to my diet and i cheated again with a little bit of chocolate cake. i have been back on track for about a week and i feel like i am getting no where. from my weight before i was about 155 or something like that then when i went on this diet i dropped about 10 pounds or so. i weigh 2 lbs less than last year which is good because i usually gain weight every year. so i am about 145 maybe a little less. i do walk for 30 - 45 minutes and i do ab exercises for about 5-7 times a week. i feel like i am getting no where now. i have always had a lot of muscle all my life and i really want to get rid of the last 10. when i flex i barely have a lot of fat. i only need 10-15 lbs lost. any ideas of how i can get rid of this before school starts in about a month and a few days? thanks.

How to Lose Weight Fast Without Drugs

I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.
