Healthy body image idea?

So, I'm a 15 year old girl who has lost 60 pounds in 8 months. I started at 5 foot 6, 195, and now I'm 135. I want to lose about 15-20 more pounds a majority of which is belly fat, and tone up. I think weighing myself every day and strictly counting calories is making me miserable. So...school starts in two weeks. I think I've decided I'm not going to weigh myself until the morning before. I'm also going to stop counting calories strictly, but I WILL watch what I eat and estimate.I started today, this is my diet intake:I had a handful of goldfish crackers while running after preschoolers at Vacation Bible School from 8:30 to twelve this morning. Not the best choice, but I forgot to bring myself a snack. a bottle of water (50 calories)Brunch: a bowl of whole grain oatmeal with peanut butter mixed in and half a banana. two bottles of water (400 calories)Snack: a handful of baby carrots and a few blueberries (50 calories)Dinner: a baked chicken breast seasoned with garlic, steamed carrots, and greenbeans (400 calories), bottle of waterI am about to head to the gym and do an hour of cardio. (20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 of interval training on the treadmill, and 20 on the stationary bike) which will probably burn 400. Throughout the day, I've done about 30 minutes of strength training exercise. Tonight for a snack I'll probably have some air popped popcorn with a dash of garlic salt.I'll estimate by the end of the day I'll have consumed about 1100-1300 calories and burned 500-600. Am I doing okay? And do you think not weighing myself will help my body image?

Here's your ideal weight range --> http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=15&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=6&cheightmeter=180&x=94&y=11Here is your BMR --> http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=15&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=6&cpound=135&cheightmeter=180&ckg=60&cactivity=1&x=0&y=0You should have no problem losing more fat. However, you need to be careful to not lose too much. As a growing teen, you should keep 20% body fat whether or not you happen to like how it appears on your body. The most economical way to do that is to buy some skin fold calipers and learn how to take the measurements. You'll need to buy some calipers like this --> http://www.heartratemonitors.com/hrmfat.html?productid=hrmfat&channelid=FROOG or this --> http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/accufitness-f3k.html?productid=accufitness-f3k&channelid=FROOG&utm_source=CSEs&utm_medium=GoogleShopping&utm_campaign=heartratemonitorsusa .Then follow the instructions that come with the calipers or use a website like this ---> http://www.muscleandstrength.com/tools/how-to-measure-bodyfat-using-calipers.html or this --> http://www.free-online-calculator-use.com/skin-fold-test.html#Chest .Measuring body fat with calipers is tricky and requires some practicing until you begin to get consistent and accurate measurements. Obese people can't expect good results from using this method. Don't expect extreme accuracy because there is not accurate way to measure body fat. Using calipers in the best way possible should get you within 3-5% of your actual body fat percent. Also, don't focus too much on the numbers without a good reason. How much body fat you have is not about numbers. It's about how you look and how you feel. Ultimately those will be the determining factors. For more information, go here --> http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/01/02/healthmag.measuring.body.fat/index.htmlBig kudos for losing the fat but be careful to not overshoot your goal only to find out you've developed an eating disorder. How to Lose Weight Hiking

Recommended Answer:

Make sure you eat clean and drink plenty of water. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I am a vegan and I have a flat stomach. Animal products, dairy, and salt make you bloated. Fruits are quick and easily digestible. What I do is run a lot. Being vegan also helps. Jogging is your best friend. Running is your best friend. Fruit is your best friend for life. Water is your homie. Processed foods are your enemies. Eat as much as you want in fruits and vegetables. Remember, you cannot target fat-loss. You will lose weight everywhere and your stomach fat will eventually follow, you will be lean all over. Fruits and vegetables will make you happy and you can never eat too many. Go RUN! :~) Best of luck.

Other Answers:

  • To be honest you can't target a specific area for weightloss you need to exercise and eat healthy that's the only way
  • Laugh alot,do sit-ups , make strong sprints. If these prove to be useless, go for a lipo- sunction which is pretty disgusting.
  • For weight loss, dieting is more effective than exercise. Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help as in items 22 and 106 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm The natural sugars in fruits are OK as they are metabolised to glucose slowly due to their high fiber content. Fruits are low in calories and are not fattening. Most fruits are metabolism boosting foods and most vegetables as well and that helps for weight loss.
  • I think you have to do Running.
  • core excersing!!! planks are really good for abs, better than situps, which target only one part of the abs, planks use your entire core, youtube core excersing and planks...core workouts make your belly have to use its muscl and when you challenge your muscle you burn fat, try you tubing videos that workout your abs, also.its imperative to eat clean and drink water, if you dont your workouts are useless

How to Lower Cortisol Levels and Lose Weight

well i got this book and it was great its a real commitment but the book focuses on your metabolism, to make it fast and working properly. with a fast metabolism you burn calories easier and have a healthier body. take a look at the book in the link. another tip to losing weight is to drink lots of water to clean and replenish your body throughout the whole day. also coffee is not so good for your body, maybe try tea. and weird thing is eating less food is bad!! so do eat food but the right kind of food. the book gives you meal plans, recipes for each week, and healthy things to snack on. its really great you gotta try it.the author, Haylie Pomroy, says she does this monthly metabolism thing i think every couple of months to clean out and refresh her system. i really recommend buying this book.http://www.amazon.ca/The-Fast-Metabolism-Diet-Weight/dp/0307986276
