The Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission issued warning letters in December, 2011 to many companies that sell the over-the-counter products, noting they have not been approved by the FDA for weight loss and false advertising claims. The drops do not contain the actual hcg hormone but similar synthetic amino acids. These peptides are destroyed in the digestive system and are completely worthless. The FDA and FTC have finally taken steps to stop these potentially harmful and scam products. Anyone that lost weight on the diet protocol only did because they were eating 500 calories a day and in starvation mode. The side effects of the hcg diet protocol are the side effects of malnutrition. These include headache, hair loss, interruption of menstrual cycles, fatigue, feeling lightheaded, disorientation, stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. Common sense tells you this diet is nothing more than starvation. One of the side effects of properly using the hcg injections to increase fertility is weight gain. So how can the hormone cause weight loss? The doctors exploiting this benign hormone can't even agree on how it works. Some say it releases stored fat calories into the system. Others say it acts as an appetite suppressant. Neither explanation justifies the weight loss in the individuals taking the oral drops containing no hcg in them that still lost weight. The mental apparatus occurring here is called "cognitive relativism" where hcg users assert their beliefs to the point where they deny facts, lack of evidence, and true expert opinion. While there are loads of profiteers, clinics, and doctors with no moral compass promoting this 60 year old ridiculous protocol it is not endorsed or recommended by any medical, dietary, or regulatory organization. You could lose about 5 lbs. Don't think in terms of diet, but a healthy food plan, like this one:Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine. Fruit smoothies. Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it. Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers. Avoid junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar), gluten, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (it's lard + chemicals), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells) and coffee (carcinogenic). No oil except olive and mac nut. Sodas (loaded with toxins; leads to stroke, obesity, kidney damage, high BP and inhibits bone growth in kids. To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, veggie juice, unsweetened fruit juice.Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches. For more energy, take Super B complex.

  • Stop all junk food .no pop . No processed food .no fast food .only healthy food .fruit .veggies and meat
  • Just exercise regularly and eat healthier, cut out junk foods, soda, candy, and high sugared foods of your diet. Also, cardio burns the most fat and so do squats, so when in doubt squat it out.
  • Well first of all you shouldn't be sedentary. Life is about the journey and you don't want to spend it lying around do you? Television will always be there but going for a walk and seeing a new sunset everyday will not always be there. You should find ways to get yourself moving through walking around the block, with a dog, a friend, or good music, or just find a sport or something you like. Being physically active is the main way to stay healthy and keep weight off.You also don't sound overweight at all. So instead of being so worried about cutting calories and consuming less you should be thinking about consuming more...like veggies. Veggies are a great thing to eat because you eat tons of them and hardly take in any calories. But don't forget that protein, carbs, and fruit. Just focus on eating healthy, and clean, and getting out and enjoying life. Your body will be much healthier for it.
  • All I have to say is do your research. I went on a diet at your age. I restricted my calories for 6 months and nearly destroyed my metabolism. I couldn't even lose weight eating 1000 calories per day. So, do your research and find the healthiest and safest way to lose the weight.Check out the website in my source. Use the calculators (e.g. calorie goal calculator) and I hope it helps ;-) xx
  • Don't go on a diet in the same age, height, and weight as you exactly( creepy right?) Your fine. If you feel fat you can exercises more but everyone compliments me on my weight.Don't go on a diet only try to eat right

How to Lose Weight: 20 Pounds in 60 Days Without Exercise

Recommended Answer:

It is possible to lose 20 lbs. of bodyfat in 30 days by optimizing any of three factors: exercise, diet, or drug/supplement regimen. I've seen the elite implementation of all three in working with professional athletes. In this post, we'll explore what I refer to as the “slow-carb diet”.In the last six weeks, I have cut from about 180 lbs. to 165 lbs., while adding about 10 lbs. of muscle, which means I've lost about 25 lbs. of fat. This is the only diet besides the rather extreme Cyclical Ketogenic Diet (CKD) that has produced veins across my abdomen, which is the last place I lose fat (damn you, Scandinavian genetics). Here are the four simple rules I followed…Rule #1: Avoid “white” carbohydratesAvoid any carbohydrate that is — or can be — white. The following foods are thus prohibited, except for within 1.5 hours of finishing a resistance-training workout of at least 20 minutes in length: bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, pasta, and fried food with breading. If you avoid eating anything white, you'll be safe.Rule #2: Eat the same few meals over and over againThe most successful dieters, regardless of whether their goal is muscle gain or fat loss, eat the same few meals over and over again. Mix and match, constructing each meal with one from each of the three following groups:Proteins:Egg whites with one whole egg for flavorChicken breast or thighGrass-fed organic beefPorkLegumes:LentilsBlack beansPinto beansVegetables:SpinachAsparagusPeasMixed vegetablesEat as much as you like of the above food items. Just remember: keep it simple. Pick three or four meals and repeat them. Almost all restaurants can give you a salad or vegetables in place of french fries or potatoes. Surprisingly, I have found Mexican food, swapping out rice for vegetables, to be one of the cuisines most conducive to the “slow carb” diet. Most people who go on “low” carbohydrate diets complain of low energy and quit, not because such diets can't work, but because they consume insufficient calories. A 1/2 cup of rice is 300 calories, whereas a 1/2 cup of spinach is 15 calories! Vegetables are not calorically dense, so it is critical that you add legumes for caloric load. Some athletes eat 6-8x per day to break up caloric load and avoid fat gain. I think this is ridiculously inconvenient. I eat 4x per day:10am – breakfast1pm – lunch5pm – smaller second lunch7:30-9pm – sports training10pm – dinner12am – glass of wine and Discovery Channel before bedHere are some of my meals that recur again and again:breakfast-wince.jpgScrambled Eggology pourable egg whites with one whole egg, black beans, and microwaved mixed vegetableslunch-wince.jpgGrass-fed organic beef, pinto beans, mixed vegetables, and extra guacamole (Mexican restaurant)dinner-wince.jpgGrass-fed organic beef (from Trader Joe's), lentils, and mixed vegetablesRule #3: Don't drink caloriesDrink massive quantities of water and as much unsweetened iced tea, tea, diet sodas, coffee (without white cream), or other no-calorie/low-calorie beverages as you like. Do not drink milk, normal soft drinks, or fruit juice. I'm a wine fanatic and have at least one glass of wine each evening, which I believe actually aids sports recovery and fat-loss. Recent research into resveratrol supports this.Rule #4: Take one day off per weekI recommend Saturdays as your “Dieters Gone Wild” day. I am allowed to eat whatever I want on Saturdays, and I go out of my way to eat ice cream, Snickers, Take 5, and all of my other vices in excess. I make myself a little sick and don't want to look at any of it for the rest of the week. Paradoxically, dramatically spiking caloric intake in this way once per week increases fat loss by ensuring that your metabolic rate (thyroid function, etc.) doesn't downregulate from extended caloric restriction. Enjoy, friend!

What's the cons of taking anti depressions?

I took them before when I was little and as I gotten to my teenager years (I'm 16 going on 17) and my attitude is still bad. I get into arguments, I don't know how to respect them, I'm depressed, social anxiety and have no confendice. So my doctor and parents suggest I should get back on the pills but I heard many things that they effect weight gain (I'm trying to lose 10-15 pounds), shorten your life, and some other things and I don't want these to happen to me but I do t want to be a a$$hole and depressed all my life! When I took those pills while young I was happy, codefendant, and got good grades at school now I'm skipping, not caring about a lot of things, and losing my smarts by bad grammar and not making sense. I need help and suggestings and if there's bad things about taking these pills.
