What is the best method to lose weight?

I am a 19 year old white female, 5'3, and I have been overweight for the majority of my life, ever since I was very young. I don't know why, and I am very happy with myself, with my personality and body, but as everyone does, I wish there were some things I could change in myself. I don't have much of a chest, most of the fat is is my stomach area. I have a huge stomach. and my legs and arms are big also. I look forward to having kids and a husband one day so I would like to be healthy enough to bear children, and being overweight is harmful for your heart. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on effective ways for someone like me to lose weight and tone up in the arm and belly area.

Honestly, we're in the same boat. You just have to cut the calories and exercise. That's it. There's no secret or mystery to losing weight. The methods of diet and exercise do work. You should start jogging, using light weights (no more than 10 pounds) to tone your arms and the basic crunch to cut down the fat in your midsection. Cut down on grains, eat more leafy greens, fruits, other vegetable.. cut down on red meat, eliminate pork.. chicken, baked, broiled.. turkey.. fish. it's not hard. you can do it, if i can anyone can. trust me. good luck

Can caffeine and energy drinks help you lose weight?

Aside from giving you "energy" can things like caffeine, energy drinks, gas station "speed" pills, help you lose weight. I read that the most important thing was to get your heart rate in the 70%-80% of it's maximum. Ideally couldn't things like these raise your heart rate to that level on it's own and your body could lose weight much easier? Obviously there are dangers to these but why can't these be used for weight loss if they do infact raise your heart rate up?Ha wtf, 3 friends? Totally calling that bull shit.

How to Lose Weight Drinking Water

Yeah but you want to have a steady workout routine I'n place before you take anything. For example work out for a month, get a good routine in, then after a month take diet pills that burn fat & have caffeine in it. After that cycle of pills are finished go another month not taking that stuff; then do another cycle.Good luck.

  • Don't do it long term it fucks up natural stuff. You don't need it. Do Sprints for 15 seconds x 10 rounds it gets you going. Your body needs more blood pumped when you exercise and so you don't feel hungry.. That stuff can kill you. I lost 3 friends who did that

Does birth control make you gain weight?

I'm 13 years old (NO. I'M NOT SEXUALLY ACTIVE.) and I have super bad acne. I've tried everything. Anything from the drugstore. I even went to the dermatologist 2 times and the stuff they gave me does NOT work.My stepmother told me that if we HAD to I could go on birth control to clear up my skin.I have a few questions for those of you who are on it.Did you gain weight?(I'm 5'0, 110 pounds. Can't afford to put on anymore.)Did your boobs get bigger?(Awkward, but I'm a B cup... Don't want them to grow, either.)Is it bad to take if you do long distance running? 3+ miles a day & sprints?Thank you so much for your help. I appreciate it (:

No, birth control pills do not cause weight gain: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/06/110607104927.htm(However, Depo Provera, the birth control injection, may be linked to weight fluctuations, due to the way it could potentially change your metabolism).Yes, your breasts may fluctuate in size during your cycle when on birth control: http://goaskalice.columbia.edu/does-taking-pill-increase-size-your-breastsNo, it's perfectly fine to take birth control pills and do long-distance running.Hope that helps!

Other Answers:

  • Yeah, it usually does cause some weight gain. It messes with your hormones and is generally not a good thing to start taking at your age. Sorry about your acne. Lots and lots of people have it and eventually it goes away.I don't think that birth control is a reasonable way to deal with acne. There are many better options that your dermatologist can discuss with you.
  • Since the side effects are different for everyone there is no way to guarantee your acne will clear up.I didn't gain any weight when on the pill, although I know it does happen to a small number of people. My breasts were still growing when I started taking the pill, but I'm pretty sure they didn't influence my breast growth at all.Exercise has nothing to do with birth control, so it isn't a bad thing at all.
  • 1. I did not.2. Unfortunately, not at all.3. I don't think exercise affects it
  • When I went on the pill after my first pregnancy, I did gain about 5 pounds. I'm 5'2" and about 118 lbs. So as you can imagine I did not need the extra weight. My boobs didnt get bigger. However, with proper exercise and diet (all healthy no starving or extremes) it came off after a few months.

Best way to lose weight?

I'm fourteen and a little bit overweight. I have a little extra chunk in the belly that I would be more than happy to lose. I play club soccer and own a horse, so my weekly schedule is filled with practices, games, shows, and just days I need to spend with my horse. Is there any way I could drop that extra belly fat? Thanks :)

How to Lose Weight Drinking Milk

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

  • I'll never say this enough of times, exercise and eating healty. Thats it.
  • Only eat about the size of your fist for meals. You will still be hungry, but just wait 5 minutes and the hunger will go away.
  • Okay I no this sucks a lot!! But I been losing weight I looked under everything and honestly THIS IS THE ONLY WAY!!!~eat healthy food~exercise
  • -Drinking a daily total of about 64 fluid ounces (8 cups) of cold (preferably refrigerated) water, at regular intervals.-Drink fruits and vegetables juice.-Drink between 6 to 12 glasses of a special mixture of lemonade, cayenne pepper, water, and maple syrup each day.-Have cabbage soup diet.-Less salt in your food.-Go for some exercises like squat, push ups and pull ups. Also go for jogging early in the morning in empty stomach. Also try to run at a speed. For belly fat, do hanging leg raises, sit-ups, and crunches.
  • For weight loss, dieting is more effective than exercise. Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help as in items 22 and 106 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm The natural sugars in fruits are OK as they are metabolised to glucose slowly due to their high fiber content. Fruits are low in calories and are not fattening. Most fruits are metabolism boosting foods and most vegetables as well and that helps for weight loss.

How fast can I lose 60 lbs and how to get started?

I am on disability so I don't have much money for food. I tried south beach diet and got down to 125 lbs but it was too expensive to keep up. I just want to eat normal foods. I tried slim fast but I get so starving. Can you give me food and exercise ideas? I was thinking about starting walking an hour every day. I am a female and am currently 211 lbs. My disability won't affect my exercising so that's not a problem. How fast can I lose weight? I am 5'2 btw. I want to be 125 but I'm 31 and not expecting that to happen. Please help me I want to lose weight.

How to Lose Weight Safely as a Diabetic

Recommended Answer:

Here's what I did. First thing I did was drop soda and sugar. I lost 6 lbs right away. Then I dropped bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. I have oatmeal or shredded wheat for breakfast with a yogurt or egg. For lunch I have a big salad. Dinner is a soup of a lot of veggies and one chicken breast. Snack is fruit.

  • My advice is to drink lots and lots of water and its perfect to start out walking!! After a while you could try running a little more each day! And about food, dont starve your self, just make sure you get grains, meat, you Know the regulars but at reasonable portions=) and just try not to give Into cravings=) maybe once a week but yah=) hope this helps alot:-) =)
  • Don't get discouraged. Walking is a great idea, especially with this nice weather. You can also make a play list of your favorite songs and dance/exercise to it. For your diet, eat tons of fruit and veg that are in season or what is on sale in the canned and frozen sections. You can eat carbs but pick them wisely, so no 'white' stuff. Make allot of veg soups using chicken breasts, eating one breast a day. Make wraps using salad greens and boiled chicken. Drink water and coffee or tea. Stay away from sugar, it is bad for your brain causing Alzheimer's. Just ask yourself what is more important, that poor food choice or a nourishing one that will feed all of your needs. Opt for good fats in moderation, like an avocado or olive oil or butter. For a treat, drink diet cream soda and have an ice lolly. When you go out have a snack wrap, grilled chicken, no sauce, lettuce, onion and tomato. If you like diet sodas, have one. If you don't like diet sodas, drink tea or water. If you try these, you can loose about + or - 3 lbs a week. It's all about choices and trade offs. You can eat anything, just watch your serving sizes. I wish you success!
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

How to Make a Weight Loss Plan

Recommended Answer:

Running is essential in the military, cardio is the primary thing they want you to have. So anything that combines both cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength building (*push-ups, pull-ups, and sit-ups) should be sought after. As for the ASVAB, practice general school knowledge, that's practically what it's all about. Simple physics, mathematics (trigonometry, algebra), etc. The chances of you failing it are VERY slim, unless you're mentally challenged and/or do not read and comprehend the English language.ABOVE ALL, it's a mental toughness game, so you need to learn to discipline yourself to do the things you don't like, force yourself to do the running when you need to. The best way to establish a good discipline is by printing out a schedule on paper (I do this for my exercises, and daily schedule). The more organized you are, the better the chances at improving.*About the exercises, I would suggest you do around half of your maximum repetitions 4-5 times with one minute rests in between every/every other day.

Other Answers:

  • Try visiting a sauna and jog every single day.
  • exercise, and eat food, but not fatty food. i don't mean only salad, eat cookies, but not in excess.as for the test, steel yourself about that kind of stress.

I start eating healthy for a while and lose weight and then fall back into the cycle of unhealthy eating. Why?

For the first few months I stick rigorously to the plan and have will power, but then after a while I start falling into the cycle of unhealthy eating again and the weight comes back up in a matter of months. Every effort and sacrifice just goes down the drain! But I just feel like I can't stop the bad eating pattern.

How to Lose Weight on Lexapro

Recommended Answer:

there are 2 choices here. 1 your diet is too hard to maintain its too severe and calorie depleted for you to stick to (go with an 80/20 rule, eat healthy 80% of the time). 2 you don't really want to lose the weight, something scares you about losing it. Figure out what is holding you back and work through it.

Other Answers:

  • Because you have no willpower or self esteem your a loser . prove me wrong
  • you can do it. you just need to discipline your self.
