I've started eating better and exercising but I keep gaining weight, is there something I can do to loose?

I'm eating a lot less and a lot healthier than I was one year ago, but I've gained weight and look a lot bigger now. I am a lot more active now and cannot understand why I've gained. I am 15 years old and 5ft tall, so any weight I gain is noticeable because I am on the shorter side. I never originally planned on loosing weight, only eating healthier. However I recently went to the doctors and I had gained almost 30lbs. Since last year. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!
