Can you lift same amount of weight if you lose weight?

Also they say that you can't lose weight without losing muscle. True or false?

Recommanded Answer:
If you lose body fatYouc can lift the same if not more. MUSCLE WEIGHT WOULD PROBABLY BE GENERAL, not limited to 1 group.
Yes, you can lose fat without losing muscle,Whenn your bodydoesn'tt get enuf to eat it digests the fat stored for that reason, after that goes the muscle, then the internal organs.

  • If you add weight lifting and muscle conditioning to your weight loss routine, as well as have sufficient protein in your diet, you will be able to maintain your muscle mass just fine.
  • you can lift more with less weight
a 200 pound guy with 6% body fat will have bigger muscles stronger mucles then a 300 pound guy with 60% body fat.
I was 240lbs i could do maybe 5 pushups i trained hard for a year got down to 180lbs and could do handstand pushups with ease my lifting capcity was increased nearly by 5 times.
you gain muscle to burn fat.
but it all depends how you start out.
if you have only 5% body fat and weigh 200lbs and you lose 20lbs your lifting ability will go down it all depends how good a shape you are in to start.
