How to Lose Weight by Walking Fast

Recommended Answer:

Aside from the vitamins?* Vegetables are generally lower-GI than bread. That means they release their energy at a slower rate, which means less snacking on carbs between meals* There is fibre to consider - both soluble and insoluble - which aide in maintaining a healthy digestive system, as well as making you feel fuller. * Vegetables contain healthy protein, which also help to make your feel full.* They are generallyquite low in calories, in relation to their bulk. Have a big serve on them on your plate, particulary the less starchy kind, I personally aim for 1/2 the plate. That way you get to eat a big plate of food, without alot of calories :)Vegetables can be a dieter's best friend.Bread less so. The grainy kind are okay in moderation, but you do need to be careful in regards to portion control. The lower fibre highly processed white kinds of bread should be kept to a minimum, a bit like junk food. When dieting in a healthy way, you have less calories to get your daily nutrition, so you need to pay extra attention to what you do eat.

Other Answers:

  • Eating Vegetables are good because: 1. Vegetables are nutrient dense.2. Veggies are a dieter's best partner.3. You can fill up for less. 4. Vegetables are fat-free and cholesterol-free. 5. Vegetables provide complex carbohydrates.
  • They are good thru different means of preparing them. Here are some dynamite recipes that are pretty easy toohttp://www.amazon.com/VEG-OUT-relaxing-healthy-ebook/dp/B00E6GI42A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375235990&sr=8-1&keywords=joey+otten#reader_B00E6GI42A
  • Vegetables are good for human consumption and if you eat a small potful for lunch and meats and only vegetables for supper or snack time you'll loose weight vegetables fully cooked or raw and meats is'nt fattening. If you eat a small pot of vegetables at lunch everyday, then dont eat the same kind or you'll get tired of them fast, also stay away from lettuce and corn on the cob and Banana's.= not for the human body, no matter how much you like them. Not good to eat before sleep Eat about 2 hours before laying down to sleep. Mike

Possible for cold nodule to cause hypothyroid symptoms?

Hello. I am a 24-year-old woman who has recently been diagnosed with some cold thyroid nodules. The right lobe of my thyroid has a nodule that is almost larger than the lobe itself, and the left side has many smaller "cysts" and others that are just beginning to grow. My biopsy showed benign tissue for now, but my endocrinologist (who has been terrible at keeping in touch with me) is not interested in hearing about my symptoms because my TSH appears to be normal. For months now, I have had severe fatigue, which is not at all typical for me. My hair is in terrible shape (going grey, breaking, falling out). I have incredibly dry skin, and I get legitimate hot flashes. It will be 67 in our apartment, but I will be sweating so much that my hair sticks to my face. Additionally, I have a tendency to gain weight inexplicably, and even when I diet/exercise, I can't lose. These symptoms came on rather suddenly beginning in January, but because my TSH is showing as normal, my endocrinologist is insisting that these symptoms are not related to this nodule.I am currently working on getting a referral to a new endocrinologist for a second opinion, but I was curious if anyone else has had experience with this? My symptoms seem to point to hypothyroidism, but my bloodwork shows normal. Does anyone have any thoughts?

How to Lose Weight Fast by Drinking Water

Get a new doctor. I have had thyroid problems for many years and I find that most doctors like to treat the lab work...not the patients symptoms. I did well on my dosage of thyroid medicine for 15 years but my new doctor saw my lab work and cut my dosage. Now I am having symptoms of low thyroid and am miserable. So with luck, you will find a doctor who will listen to your symptoms. Good luck.

Other Answers:

  • I have no personal experience with this, but it seems like the easiest way to resolve this would be to try a very tiny dose of thyroid hormone for several days, see what happens, and then stop if things get worse, or move on to a higher dose if things haven't changed. Then keep increasing the dose you have some type of change.in your symptoms or reach a plateau.
  • The new doctor must run the test to rule out thyroid inflammation which cause hyper or hyper/hypo symptoms. One of the check will be the TPO antibody testing.Large benign nodules can be treated with PEI at first; if such treatment fails, surgery is indicated

How to Lose Weight & Keep a Healthy Looking Face

Recommended Answer:

First of all, GREAT job realizing you were being unhealthy before, and making up your mind to change it. Of course, your metabolism is in starvation mode right now (if you haven't gone up from 500). If you still are eating 500 cal a day, you MUST go up to 1200 immediately. You might gain back a few pounds-- it's better than your hair falling out, your nails turning yellow, growing “fur” on your arms to keep warm, etc. Once you get up to 1200, slowly add calories until you reach around 1500-1600: that's a good number for losing weight. As far as what to do next, try following this “diet” written by a teenage girl and approved by nutritionists ( http://essenaoneill.tumblr.com/setplan ). It's REALLY healthy and simple, and includes a lot about loving yourself and self-confidence that might be helpful for you! Focus on eating lots of fruits and veggies, nuts and grains, etc. and doing light exercise. I'm 5'7'', and in the last few months I went from 145 to what I am now, which is between 130 and 135: my natural weight. I did it by eating mindfully and stopping when I was hungry: I ate a lot of rice cakes, avocado, Wasa crackers, smoothies, hummus and carrots, oats, berries, apples, carrots, etc. Lots of healthy, simple foods. I also did a little bit of exercise, but losing weigh tis really 80% diet 20% exercise.Good luck and I know you can do it! (: xx

Other Answers:

  • Just go eat some burgers yolo.
  • Keep exercising! But don't push yourself too hard. Go on a jog every morning or whenever you can
  • You did alot of things wrong, slower metabolism means that you get fat pretty easily and a fast acting metabolism means that you digest food faster and dont get fatBest way to loose weight is to eat less carbs and fats and consume more vegetables and chicken NOT FRIED CHICKEN if you dont wanna do that you can always waste alot of money on products that let you eat what you want without gaining weight

How to not break free from your diet?

I have no problem getting up to excersize, my only problem during a diet is my constant craving for junk food. For me it''s too hard to eat good. I have a swimsuit photoshoot in July (i know it''s a long ways away but I want to make sure I''m as skinny as possible). Any tips for me to keep eating healthy and not give up on my diet right away, or eat junk food?

Losing Weight and Losing Those Love Handles

Recommended Answer:
You''re on the road to bettering yourself. It''s not an easy road to take, but if it was, it wouldn''t feel so damn good when you start seeing improvements. The ends WILL justify the means. You don''t want to be the best version of you? If you think that something that tastes nice but goes against your diet is worth consuming, it means your heart isn''t 100% in it. Make these junk items you crave seem like they should only be touched in moderation (cheat meal every fortnight for example). Just keep thinking of how good you could look in front of that camera, and how bad you could look in front of it. The decision should be made clear by this.

  • Give yourself other alternatives to the food you crave. Like low carb/low sugar snacks. I''m on a low carb diet and I have tonnes of different muffin and cookie recipes to make, and they have next to no sugar/carbs

You can always buy really dark chocolate too as eating a small amount may satisfy your sweet tooth.

Or eat a piece of fruit as it contains fructose which is sweet.

Another option is to allow yourself a ''cheat meal'' once a week. Just one meal, where you can eat anything you want. It may ease your cravings.

Hope I helped. If you want recipes for low sugar baking or snacks Google will give you many!

Hello, I''m 15 and have currently lost 67 lbs. if you want to lose that much in three months it is very possible, but I may suggest doing it in 4-5 months. If you lose weight too fast it can cause excess skin which can take awhile to get rid of. Good job for drinking tons of water you should drink about 8 bottles/glasses a day for your height and weight. If you want a thigh gap and weight loss this girl on YouTube helped me with my thigh gap, but lose weight first then try to achieve a thigh gap and toning. Her two channels are called blogilates and blogilatestv. She has great workouts and advice. P.s. a little motivation that helped me workout was buying workout clothes. I don''t know why I have a obsession with them and love using them haha. Also, you can eat sweets just have self control and dont eat a lot of it. I hope i helped ! Best of luck to you ! x😊

Best Way To Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
Whenever you feel like it.
Listen to your body as lack of motivation = you need a rest day.

Wait to be down to 250lbs to start doing low impact exercising like walking on the ground.
You can start using exercise equipment (like a stationary bike) when you get down to 300lbs (check manufacturers’ weight limits).

I don’t know what kind of personal trainer you have…some States do not require licensing so you have to rely on “word of mouth” like if you know someone who used to be morbidly obese and now is overweight and had a good experience with that particular personal trainer.
A trainer, who’s telling you that you could lose 100 pounds of body fat in 9 months, is a lunatic (or maybe just plain stupid or a scam artist…) trying to give you false hope to keep you going for a while until you fail.
S/he’s probably counting on the fact that you could lose a ton of water weight at first (so you’re happy as you lose total body weight on some scale) until you burn out and give up because s/he pushing you too hard on purpose and giving you the wrong workout (so then it’s your fault).

It’s not even humanly possible to lose more than 2.5 pounds of body fat for 39 consecutive weeks.
You cannot have a daily average of exercising of 1,250 calories (8,750 calories of exercising/week) to lose 2.5 pounds of body fat (3,500 calories of exercising for each pound)
If you have 2 rest days/week, then you’d need to exercise for 1,750 calories/day for 5 days…as I said, not humanly possible if you want to lose body fat, so you cannot even eat more than your BMR (as you want to use fat reserves) and using fat reserves will not give you energy (carbs gives you energy) just make you last longer.

Of course, if your trainer would tell you that IF you eat just enough to cover your BMR, you could lose half a pound of body fat/week which is 1,750 calories of exercising, like 350 calories/day for 5 days/week with 2 rest days (the BEST rate of body fat loss, slow enough to not regain it), you would lose 160 pounds in 320 weeks x 7 days = 2240 days/365 = about 6 YEARS…that would be a realistic goal, allowing you to schedule plateaus and maintaining your weight for a week every month or 2 weeks every 10 weeks (2.5 months) so you never burn out (you keep exercising but you eat more…like being on mini vacations from your diet). THEN, you’d have a chance to be part of the 5% of people who are successful loser (they do not regain the lost weight). It’s a small club; I wish they would give medal for that, like you could get a medal in the year 2019 if you weigh 188lbs, or more logically in the year 2029 if you did not regain the weight for 10 years as successful weight loss is not about losing weight but about not regaining it…if you lost it slowly enough. Needless to say, successful weight losers do not believe for one second that they can lose 100 pounds in 9 months nor are they being brainwashed by the diet food industry.

Your first goal should be to get down to the obese category (270lbs at 5’9).
Then get down to the overweight category (202lbs)

You should not use any exercise equipment (not for +300lbs).
You should not use an elliptical as even just walking will put too much pressure on your joints (knee joints but also hips and ankles joints).
Your joints are probably already messed up if you had to carry +250 pounds for a while, just standing/walking.
Even people who weigh more than 125lbs should pay careful attention when jogging as one knee has to be able to handle double the body weight (because of gravity) when both feet are in the air at one point (like jogging/running/jumping). In your case, your knees already have to handle +250 pounds.

Do water exercises only as the water is low impact, since body fat contains a lot of air molecules so the bigger you are, the better you float.
Either you go to water aerobics classes…waterobics, used by obese people, the elderly, people recovery from injury or having special health needs (but I think you should wait to go down to 270lbs to the obese category as those classes are for obese people not morbidly obese ones) OR water walk by yourself in the shallow end. My Y pool has a special lane for that (the water comes up to your waist), but just one, so you have to reserve your time to make sure it’s free. The other lanes on one side would be too deep and on the other side you have two squares…a shallow one for waterobics classes and a very deep one for (scuba) diving lessons.
Water walking will help you protect your joints, you go at your own pace, very slowly as the water offers more resistance than air, so that exercise combine aerobics and weight training.
You can also use your arms to propel you forwards so you get an upper body exercise as well.

Do not lift weights. You do not need to gain muscle mass since you already have a lot because you have to carry almost 350lbs 24/7 so that makes you very strong already.

  • 3-5 days a week.
  • I do the same thin and a easy food to help loose weight and allow the body to loose weight is protein I usually work out every week night and on weekends I use a bike but on the weeknights i still use a bike and a food that''s yummy with good protein is cheese I love it and et it and I have lost 10 pounds in 5 days! How Thai Food Can Help You Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
When I was 250 I hated working out and eating right obviously. I didn't like the gym or working out so I did something that was fun I started skating 2-3 days a week and just adding more activity like taking the stairs and riding my bike. I stopped eating junk candy chips cake cookies pizza etc and stopped eating after 7. I also started fasting every other day and, I lost 115lbs in about 6 or 7 months. I eat 100 calories snacks on Sunday and is a treat. I still skate 2 or 3 days a week and is fun losing the weight made bike riding way easier so therefore more fun. I also eat healthy everyday not fasting but three days a month. Healthy versions of junk isn't so bad.

  • I know what I'm talking about and losing that much weight will take a combination of diet and exercise.
    A good plan would be:

Breakfast: low fat milk on cooked 9-grain cereal (from health food store), mixed with cooked oatmeal and wheat bran. Add some nuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts and yogurt w/fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit: banana, orange, apple, kiwi, grapes, peach, nectarine, cherries, pineapple. No chips and nothing ever from a vending machine.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.

Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes.

Foods to avoid: junk food, pastries, desserts, sugar, salty foods, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fatty/greasy foods (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza), pasta, potatoes, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream, fast food, soda, chips. And of course no tobacco or alcohol in any form. Both of those add wrinkles and destroy your brain. No oil except olive and mac nut. Coffee also rots your brain.

To keep your skin clear, drink water. Veg. juice is good too. But not canned juice (too much sugar.)

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Also hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, badminton, tennis...

If you lack energy to exercise, take stress B vitamins.
To lose weight, try an appetite suppressant.
  • Just remember, no exercise can substitute a good diet!!!! doesn't matter what you do in the gym if you aren't working hard in the kitchen too.

How to get out of a weight loss plateau?

Currently I weigh 230lbs and have lost 60lbs. Since I hit the plateau, I have decreased my calorie intake to 1200 calories (made sure to keep track of all my meals so that I would not go over, I eat six meals throughout the day). I have also changed my workout routine to HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training) with 30 second rest in between. I spend approximately an hour and a half in gym doing HIIT 5 days a week. Still no weight has been lose after two months!!!

Top Five Tips to Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
Wow dude, if that's seriously your routine you are asking for some major overtraining. I'm guessing you're pretty tired, hungry, and frustrated too? And not exactly getting stronger? I won't get into the physiology, but please, PLEASE try this (or at least read up on it):

1) Eat more. I call it the "all I can eat diet", although it is rather strict. Limit saturated fat to 20g a day, eliminate all processed sugar, and eat only whole foods and no more than 300g a day of carbs. Trust me, its tough to eat more than 2,500 quality calories which is still not enough to sustain high activity and your weight. Lay on the quality protein too, as much as you feel comfortable eating

2) REST. Spend 9 hours a day in bed, and just sleep. Sleep is just as important as food in recovery and weight loss; muscle is rebuilt and fat is burned during sleep. More muscle mass also = more calories burned. Be careful with your routine; Weight is not lost in the gym, it is lost in the kitchen. A strong workout is good, but perpetual soreness (especially with a length plateau or decrease in strength) leads to injury and unlosable fat retention.

I'm 6'2", 190 lbs, 11% bodyfat and I lift for 60 minutes 3 days a week. That's all. I've been at it a while, but I'm much stronger than my friends putting in 8 or 9 hours a week in the gym.

Basically, if you've hit a plateau that hard your body is in survival mode. It doesn't give a fuck about looking good, it's remembering the cave man days and thinks it needs to hold onto that fat to live. Eat quality food, restore your metabolism, rest, and rebuild. My best friend went through where you are now, twice, and it was horrible till he finally figured it out. That intensity is OK later on, but save it till you hit 10% bodyfat or so.

If you're serious you're welcome to message me on this one too.

I want to loose weight.?

I'm 15. I'm 5'5 and I forgot my weight. I don't own a scale but the last time I was at the hostpital, the doctor told me I was above my BMI. I think I weigh about 160-165. My stomach is very big, my waist line is fat, my chest and back is fat and my face is fat.

I really want to loose weight. I can't go to a gym and I'm too broke to afford a trainer. I tried loosing weight twice before and I cant seem to stay motivated. The longest I went with dieting and working out was about 4-6 days and I saw that I lost a TINY bit of weight.

Bottom line is that I know that I can loose weight fast, I just have no motivation and I have no where to start and no one to help me. I just need advice and motivation..

Can someone help me with what my meals should be like? my workout routine? and how long it should take for me to loose atleast 5 pounds or more?

I was like you i was 20 years old 5'4167 lb male i know I'm short as fuck

  • You can start by doing something like 1 hour of Basketball or go to the nearest park with running tracks and go for like an hour a day.
You can also do programs like insanity, 1 hour of zumba on game counsels , or 1 hour of just dance on game counsels
you can also try to eat less each day and healthy food choices
  • For dieting,I would say get yourself a chart sorted out of the different food groups so that you have a healthy amount of each, lower portion sizes, eat slower too...it sounds silly but eating slower allows your brain to recognise what you are eating and therefore can process the food correctly instead of storing it as fat. Drinking lots of water before meals helps too, water is very filling and therefore you physically have to cut down your portions. For exercise I would suggest doing thirty minutes at least every day. Go for a jog, walk the dog,get on your bike or something. Get yourself out,if your not at home you won't be tempted to give up and have some chocolate or something. I know a great app (which has helped me) where you record all your exercise and food consumed for a particular day and it saves it as a diary, this is helpful in order for you to get a routine sorted. Also,if you find yourself snacking, punish yourself with exercise...try looking at people who you would like to look like, jealousy is a great motive! ;)

Best Exercise to Lose Weight For You

Recommanded Answer:
It's good for weightloss. :) The fiber in it keeps you full... add some fruit and nuts and you have an etremely nutitious breakfast. some people say to stay away from it, yeah, but there are loads of diferent ways to lose weight...such people usually steer away from all carbs, but to be honest, it's unneccessary. lots of models eat oatmeal for breakfast... Also, some days they eat scrambled or boiled eggs and a slice of wholewheat toast...the best foods to eat for weightloss are fruits and vegetabes, lean meat, eggs, wholewheat bread, oatmeal, muesli (4 servings of starches is enough) drink lots of water and snack on almonds or fruit :) Find your own magic number eg 150g carbs a day work for me :P AND don't obsess :L Lie's too short! Enjoy your food :L Goodluck :)
