How to Lose Weight on a Budget

Recommended Answer:

Losing 35-45 pounds will take 6 months or more. But at your age, don't worry about it. Talk to your pediatrician and see is s/he can make recommendations for a healthy diet and exercise that's appropriate for you.

Other Answers:

  • Insanity
  • You can't lose weight fast, you can get really ill from it or you'll just gain the weight back over time. Go to caloriecalculator.com and it can tell you how many calories you need to eat a day to lose 2 pounds a week. eat fruits, veggies and other healthy meals. I don't like exercising either, but going out and playing tag, or swimming with friends is fun and is healthy! :) Wish I could help more but I have to go....
  • You won't lose weight unless you're motivated, being lazy about exercising and dieting will not get you results. You don't have to eat healthy to lose weight just have to eat less of what you normally like its called portion control but being more active and exercising is the fastest way

What should I do to stop my parents commenting on my weight?

First off, I am 5"2/5"3 ish and I weigh 50kg. I am going on 17. I do not consider myself skinny, but I don't think I am fat either. When I wear leggings, shorts or skinny jeans, my parents will always tell me how bad they look on me, and how ugly my legs are and how I should wear flare jeans because it'd suit people with legs like mine. I refuse flare jeans.Whenever my mum sees me eating anything, even fruit she'll make comments and say things like "why are you still eating even when you are already so big? Do you want to get fatter?" When we go out into shops where there are full body mirrors, she'll point them out to me and say things like "look how fat you are" and "see how big your thighs are". It makes me feel really gross about myself. I don't like to look in mirrors anymore. She always talks about how unhealthily I eat. I hardly eat any chocolate or go out to eat fast food. Mostly at home, I just eat fruits for lunch and granola bars. My sugar intake is minimal.I don't understand. I am a size 8, UK. I have not gained or lost any weight. When I confronted them about it, they just said that they say these things because they care. But I can't help but feel that what they are saying is very spiteful. How can I make them stop saying this. I would understand if it was just telling me once, but they do it day after day, like reminding me that I am not supermodel skinny. They don't give me any suggestions on how I can lose weight, just that I am fat. What can I do???

  • Don't do anything. Just ignore them because according to your bmi your the perfect weight. 20.14 is your BMI. If you really want to tell them something. Tell them to hush and that you're not fat or overweight and that they need to pick on someone their age.
  • Honestly most people I know who are 5'2 or 5'3 are much heavier than you! I mean everyone is different so I don't know what you look like, but it doesn't sound like you are fat. Maybe I would tell another family member or a relative, like an aunt or uncle or cousin, if you have, or a good friend of your mother you can trust, and tell them to talk to your parents. Or invite friends over since I am pretty sure that you are smaller than some or most of them..well I don't know your fiends but it just sounds like you a re thin already

How do you classify as anorexic?

How many meals do you have to miss to be considered anorexic? I heard if you miss meals, drink a lot of liquids and exercise a lot it won't be as harmful for the body. Is this true? And if your 5.0" how much do you need to weigh to be consider anorexic?

How to Eat Carbs and Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

Google "bmi calculator". Enter your height and weight and it will tell you your bmi. A bmi under 18 is underweight. Being underweight, having irregular or stopped periods, and hair loss are all physical signs of anorexia, but the anorexia itself is a mental condition that is often connected to depression, anxiety, and extreme perfectionism. Not all anorexics are underweight. If you think you might be anorexic, please please please talk to your doctor before it gets out of control. Therapy can be incredibly helpful too.

Other Answers:

  • Anorexia isn't classified by a certain weight or meal structure. It is a mental illness.
  • Anorexia doesn't have to do with weight. Most girls who are anorexic though are underweight (bmi is under 18). It's about self conciseness about the way you look and on how you need to be skinnier. It's about not eating or eating very little amounts of food, (often 500 calories or under). It's starvation and not good. It can last for weeks, months years even decades.Don't let anorexia enter your life
  • Eating comes prior to exercising. No amount of liquids can replace food. Exercise cannot take place without food and if you try it, you will be considered anorexic. It can harm the body, and there is no point in missing meals as food is generally good for you. Missing meals is a serious issue.

I want to start writing a journal but i find it kind of awkward, any tips on how to start?

Ok so i want to start a journal about just my life in general and my weight loss status. I'm a guy and it's hard for me to express my emotions. I have had a hard time with my family in general and can't express my feelings because i'm scared they will think i'm sort of a pussy (can't think of a better word). So i'm just asking for some general tips on how to start and how i should converse with my self and then move on and use those methods in real day to day situations.Thank you :)

Month old baby budgie having trouble weaning?

I know it''s early in the game, I just want to know what I can do to help or make it easier on her. My budgie is 4 weeks and 2 days old, she''s with her dad in a nursery cage and her mom''s in another cage below her. She can jump, somewhat fly (though she falls), climbs, and tries to chew on seeds. She hasn''t touched her food though and I have specifically mashed it with greens and a weaning food, plus regular seed, romaine, carrot, and celery and millet. She still whines to her father for food but he ignores her. Instead of following him she goes to the bottom of the cage to either sit at the corner and rest, (she''s resting a lot), or chew on fallen sees but doesn''t break them.

She''s semi-tame, I can hold and pet her and take her out with little to no fuss and I did call a vet and she said that at a month to five weeks she can eat on her own. I just want to know what I can do to make it easier or maybe something i''ve missed that''s crucial for her? She hasn''t lost any weight so far either so i''m not worried about her starving, unless she doesn''t eat herself and father won''t feed her.
@Abigeal - I question your ''experience'' because one who is an experienced bird breeder would know that occasionally the parents can attack their young - which is exactly what happened when I put the mother with her baby and the father. She wouldn''t let her baby eat, she would bite her and push her to the bottom of the cage and then leave her alone while the baby sat in a corner and slept. I had to remove her temporarily. Also, you can''t just ''point'' at the food and expect them to go to it like that. My birds aren''t hand tamed, aside from 2 who are partially. The baby still won''t eat the food but her father keeps trying to show her. He feeds her on occasion. I have food on the bottom and top of the cage because she likes to climb and sit at the swing at the very top where she occasionally sleeps. Thank you for answering but it didn''t help, though some blame falls to me for taking the advice.

9 Essential Tips To Lose Weight Fast

Recommended Answer:
A normal weaning age is usually 5-6 weeks of age. Depending on each individual chick, weaning times actually vary. Some take longer, others are weaned in no time. You are doing great by offering it the diet that you do. Continue with the diet, and perhaps in a week introduce to her vegetables that aren''t mashed. Things like broccoli is bright, and gets their attention, and they are very curious so she may take a taste. If so, she may become intrigued to try other things too! She will get better and better as she ages with weaning, just be persistent with her. She is doing what a 4 week old would normally as far as getting the seed, but not breaking it open. That behavior is common, and shows they are actually beginning to become curious about seed, and are beginning the stage of weaning. Sleeping in the corners is another normal behavior for her at this age. They are like newborns, they don''t have the best balance, and they get very tired, very often, so they will rest on the bottom quite often.

Also, don''t let a little bit of weight loss panic you. They will lose 10 to 25% of their body weight before they are fledged (weaned) It is because of the behavior that you are observing. The parents simply ignore most of their begging pleas for food, and will instead give instructions to them as your male is doing. They do gain back some of the weight after they are weaned, but not all. The father may be feeding her when you aren''t observing, during weaning they feed a few times a day, and that''s it. This may be why you haven''t noticed a weight loss quite yet.

You do have to keep in mind that parents teach them by example. If dad doesn''t eat the mashed food, chances are, she won''t either at this moment. Once curious however, she may. You could mix some seeds with her mashed meal since this is what she is familiar with, and she will identify that.

Since she isn''t with mom you can attempt weaning by co parenting, which means you remove her when you are feeding her more solid foods. When she is around a feeding parent, she may rather beg for food, than eat some on her own. It sounds like she is developing with weaning appropriately for her age. I wish you the best!

  • Let her in to her mother and let them all in a room together and put seeds on front of them. Point to the seeds and leave them alone for a while and then check back on them and if they havent coached the baby bird to eat then there is something very wrong. :)
  • take her to the vet

Need help gaining weight.?

I''m 6 foot and 165 pounds. I''ve been working out for a couple of months now and I''m trying to gain weight. I want to get to around 185-200 lbs. I have been 165 lbs for a long a time and have not gained a pound. After a workout I will drink a protein shake, 2 scoops, and will usually have a chicken breast, hamburger, or pasta. I also do cardio everyday because I try to maintain my endurance for hockey. What else should I do, or not do?
Also I''m trying to gain muscle weight not fat, so don''t tell me to eat junk food.

Help Me Lose Weight by Burning Fat in the Gym

Recommended Answer:
If you are looking to gain 20-35 pounds, you need to eat a high calorie diet to help you supplement the calories needed to build muscles as well as help you meet the calorie requirement daily. The next thing you need is to also sleep consistently and also do the right workout regime. It seems that diet is even more important for you to get right as you are doing hockey which burns a lot of calories in both your practice sessions as well as your competition. Here is what I do recommend to help you. Remember that this will take around 20-35 weeks to achieve, so do not give up before the time is up.

In terms of diet, it is important to consider eating a high calorie diet filled with natural food. The foods you should eat more of are bread, pasta, potatoes, biscuits and rice. This will help give you energy to work on the pitch as well as give you the ability to gain weight by making your calorie intake higher than your output. You can also try adding milk into your diet to help you get the protein you need to help you to repair muscles which is the healthy way to gain and maintain weight. I would recommend starting out by drinking 500ml of milk 3 times each day if you are not lactose intolerant. Weigh yourself once every week and see if your weight increase, if not simply drink a 100ml more of milk each time. Once you spot a gain of 1-2 pounds, then it is time to hit the workout room and get proper rest.

The important thing to prime yourself up to gain muscle mass as weight is to sleep well. If you do not rest enough, your muscles and immune system will take a hit and make gaining weight even harder. Even though this may seem simple, it took me a while to get the hang of it and to apply it on a consistent basis. One test I would like you to try is to sleep and wake up by yourself on a day where you have no activities plan ahead. Take note of how many hours you need to sleep and keep repeating that daily in order to ensure that you gain the weight you need as well as keep your immune system strong so that you will not fall sick which will cause you to lose weight.

The last thing is to spot what workout fits you best. So far, I have found the workout at http://gohforth.com extremely good in terms of helping me and my clients to gain weight. I was able to consistently put on a pound a week without suffering much downtime. There were also months I can gain close to 5 pounds which is an extremely big motivation to spur me on to train, sleep and eat properly. Perhaps you could give it a try and see if it changed your life like it did for me.

  • This is gonna sounfpd really wierd but have you seen the movie mean girls? She gives this girl these wierd protein bars from africa and says it will help her lose weight but really makes her gain weight like crazy and she goes from a size 2 to 5+ in a mepatter of weeks.
  • Eat pizza and junk and stuff AFTER you work out. Thats easier than loosing
  • Eat lots of protein and work out hard. Do it again and again.

Any tips and answers would be much appreciated!

Quick Weight Loss - How to Lose Weight Quickly

Recommended Answer:
Well, your cardio is great but if you are also doing the planks and situps, you could be gaining that weight back in muscle. Which is a good thing! This means that even though you are losing fat, you are gaining it back in muscle, so although your weight doesn''t change, you should start to see a decrease in you body''s appearance because muscle is more dense and less volumonous than fat! Don''t judge your weight loss based on your actual weight, but your measurements. Try measuring your waistline or arms/thighs and see if you see a decrease in those, that''s what matters! Not your actual weight in pounds. If possible, try a body composition analysis machine that will help you see if you are losing fat pounds or gaining muscle mass. Hope this helped! Good luck!

How many people are on a gluten free diet?

Hey, so I just want to know basically how many people are on a gluten free diet, who do not have celiac disease? I can''t find it on the internet, but if you did, I''d love to know because I need an actual concrete fact for my essay on gluten-free people :) Thanks so much! :D

How Can I Lose Weight in a Healthy Way?

Recommended Answer:
Unfortunately, no one actually knows. Estimates are that around 3 1/2 million people have celiac disease, based on randomized studies of thousands of people and what the percentage of THAT population tests positive for the disease.

However, comparing that to actual diagnosed Celiacs, you find that 3% of that number have been diagnosed. so if the estimate is accurate, then around 3 MILLION celiacs are undiagnosed. How many of these are eating gluten free could skew the statistic, obviously. :-/
