Can''t lose weight!!!?

I''m a 5''8, 151LB 16 year old male who is struggling to lose 5-10 lbs. I have been running 2.5 miles 5 days a week and doing situps and planks everyday. I have been 151 for the past 3-4 months, my weight won''t budge.

I''m not trying to lose a lot of weight, just 5-10 lbs. Am I excersising enough? I''m just a little pudgy and want to get the weight off for the summer.

Any tips and answers would be much appreciated!

Well, your cardio is great but if you are also doing the planks and situps, you could be gaining that weight back in muscle. Which is a good thing! This means that even though you are losing fat, you are gaining it back in muscle, so although your weight doesn''t change, you should start to see a decrease in you body''s appearance because muscle is more dense and less volumonous than fat! Don''t judge your weight loss based on your actual weight, but your measurements. Try measuring your waistline or arms/thighs and see if you see a decrease in those, that''s what matters! Not your actual weight in pounds. If possible, try a body composition analysis machine that will help you see if you are losing fat pounds or gaining muscle mass. Hope this helped! Good luck!
