Why have i lost a lot of weight in last few months?

I am 16 years old and not even a year ago my legs were thick and my butt popped out quit a bit, At school random people knew me as " Big Booty Nina, aka, BBN" lol, Hilarious I know .But to be honest, i was quit happy with my shape, my calfs we much more toned and now that i look at them they remind me of noodles. My stomach has always been flat but my legs, thighs, and butt has decreased dramatically. I do not know the cause of this and i will be going to the doctor soon for multiple reasons but cannot wait so i am asking this right now. Another thing is, my heart has been thumping fast and hard frequently throughout the day while i am just sitting down, i looked it up and think it might be palpitations. Idk if that's what may be causing my weight loss or what. My appetite did change dramatically at one point and i didn't eat for days except a few nibbles here and there. But after a few weeks my appetite came back and i began to eat like a man again. Still no weight gain since then and i am paranoid about it, because i do NOT want to be a shrimp. I loved my butt and legs How to Lose Weight With Tea

Can I lose weight by eating less than 500 calories?

Im 15. I drink about 1.25 gallons of water a day. I run 2 reasonably fast miles (about 9:40 on hilly pavement). I take daily chewable multivitamins. Unfortunately, I take a "fat-burner" energy supplement (I say unfortunately because I know it's probably horrible in the long run) It is effective though. The point of my diet is to lose a lot of fat. The pill speeds up metabolism and I space out my small healthy snacks, e.g. Half a protein bar before run, half after, banana and small snacks for dinner, light yogurt at night. It ends up being <500 cal a day. I drink water constantly, and I'm never hungry. I eat no wheat. I feel great and I'm losing weight but I'm wondering if my body I burning the fat or if the weight loss will eventually level off. Any info would be great. Thanks!

As a teenager, you should not be eating that low at all. YOU WILL STOP GROWING. Teenagers should be gaining weight, because you are developing and growing into an adult. Eat 2000+ calories, even if that means you have to swap out your 1.25 gallons of water for milk or juice. And if you're worried about hydration you should be eating fruits and veggies. You NEED calories like you NEED vitamins. If you don't get enough calories, the vitamins are a waste.

  • Your body isn't burning any real fat, your body is burning off all your muscles. Man quit with these idiotic pills and starving your body. Read up on how to lose weight the proper way. Its ALL about the diet. Exercise is just small part of it.If you want to increase your metabolism, eat 6 small healthy meals a day. A healthy meal would be like some oats and fruits or some yogurt and raisins.
  • I'm 15 also! I started weight watchers about a year ago and I've lost 50lbs. Need help gaining weight.?

I''m 6 foot and 165 pounds. I''ve been working out for a couple of months now and I''m trying to gain weight. I want to get to around 185-200 lbs. I have been 165 lbs for a long a time and have not gained a pound. After a workout I will drink a protein shake, 2 scoops, and will usually have a chicken breast, hamburger, or pasta. I also do cardio everyday because I try to maintain my endurance for hockey. What else should I do, or not do?
Also I''m trying to gain muscle weight not fat, so don''t tell me to eat junk food.

Help Me Lose Weight by Burning Fat in the Gym

Recommended Answer:
If you are looking to gain 20-35 pounds, you need to eat a high calorie diet to help you supplement the calories needed to build muscles as well as help you meet the calorie requirement daily. The next thing you need is to also sleep consistently and also do the right workout regime. It seems that diet is even more important for you to get right as you are doing hockey which burns a lot of calories in both your practice sessions as well as your competition. Here is what I do recommend to help you. Remember that this will take around 20-35 weeks to achieve, so do not give up before the time is up.

In terms of diet, it is important to consider eating a high calorie diet filled with natural food. The foods you should eat more of are bread, pasta, potatoes, biscuits and rice. This will help give you energy to work on the pitch as well as give you the ability to gain weight by making your calorie intake higher than your output. You can also try adding milk into your diet to help you get the protein you need to help you to repair muscles which is the healthy way to gain and maintain weight. I would recommend starting out by drinking 500ml of milk 3 times each day if you are not lactose intolerant. Weigh yourself once every week and see if your weight increase, if not simply drink a 100ml more of milk each time. Once you spot a gain of 1-2 pounds, then it is time to hit the workout room and get proper rest.

The important thing to prime yourself up to gain muscle mass as weight is to sleep well. If you do not rest enough, your muscles and immune system will take a hit and make gaining weight even harder. Even though this may seem simple, it took me a while to get the hang of it and to apply it on a consistent basis. One test I would like you to try is to sleep and wake up by yourself on a day where you have no activities plan ahead. Take note of how many hours you need to sleep and keep repeating that daily in order to ensure that you gain the weight you need as well as keep your immune system strong so that you will not fall sick which will cause you to lose weight.

The last thing is to spot what workout fits you best. So far, I have found the workout at http://gohforth.com extremely good in terms of helping me and my clients to gain weight. I was able to consistently put on a pound a week without suffering much downtime. There were also months I can gain close to 5 pounds which is an extremely big motivation to spur me on to train, sleep and eat properly. Perhaps you could give it a try and see if it changed your life like it did for me.

  • This is gonna sounfpd really wierd but have you seen the movie mean girls? She gives this girl these wierd protein bars from africa and says it will help her lose weight but really makes her gain weight like crazy and she goes from a size 2 to 5+ in a mepatter of weeks.
  • Eat pizza and junk and stuff AFTER you work out. Thats easier than loosing
  • Eat lots of protein and work out hard. Do it again and again.

How was my diet for today for weight loss?

I''m 5''9, 135 pound, and I would like to get down to 115-120. I have had:

Lunch:
-large organic fuji apple
-6oz container of blackberries

Dinner:
-Salad from Subway with:
Shredded lettuce, spinach, cucumber, tomato, olives AND
shredded cheese, fat free italian dressing.

I am also hoping to go to the gym tonight and do:
-30min on elliptical
-10min to 20min of jogging on track
-20min of walking on track

Any tips or suggestions for weight loss? I should add that I''m vegetarian (and try to be mostly vegan) so please don''t recommend any foods that don''t fall under that. Thank you!

How to Burn Fat Without Losing Weight

Recommended Answer:
I know it''s pointless to give you this advice, but you need far more calories than you''ve shown here, and especially more FAT and protein. There should not be any item in your diet that is labeled as "fat-free".

Let me explain what''s happening to you right now. Since you''ve eaten almost no protein today, and also no fat, your body is having to rely entirely in blood sugar for energy. Ideally you could be burning up some body fat, but very likely you''re eating just enough carbs to stimulate insulin release, and insulin shuts down fat-utilization cold.

Carbs turn into blood sugar very quickly, but you''re not eating NEARLY enough carbs to supply all the needed blood sugar. And you''re not eating any fat for the body to use in fat-burning. Get that? You''re not eating enough carbs to supply your blood sugar, but you ARE eating enough carbs to inhibit fat-burning. You''re doing just about precisely the wrong thing.

So, your body is cannibalizing protein that''s already inside of you to convert it into blood sugar (process is called gluconeogenesis). That protein is taken out of muscle and organs and tissue.

This cannibalization of protein is what actually kills people who die of starvation. It is not possible in any way for your body to convert carbs into protein to replace the tissues it robs from your lean mass -- it must come from diet, period -- and you''re eating almost no protein, so you''re wasting away.

You may or may not be losing any weight with your semi-starvation diet, because you''re liable to be screwing up your metabolism so that it shuts down energy expenditure as much as possible in subconscious ways.

  • Looks like you''re on the right track, my suggestions I''m going to link in the source. Little blog I started out at and lost a lot of weight, good luck you''re doing good!
  • Im not sure eggs are in your diet or not, but lettuce is a pointless food, just do straight spinach. Why do you want to be smaller?

Wondering How To Lose Weight Quick?

Recommended Answer:
Don''t worry, I have the solution for you, and it''s not only easy but it is what you should do:

No attempt at eating right will work if you say "I''m never going to have a slice of pizza again or a cookie" or whatever... Doesn''t work...

The idea is to stop having pizza four times a week. Have a meal where you eat what you want, usually people have one meal a week in which they do this, so, on Fri nights you go out to a nice restaurant and eat whatever you like, it''s okay because you have 3 meals a day, 7 days a week so that is 21 meals, if 20 of them were healthy and one was crap, they you are healthy.

A few BIG RULES on losing weight, do this and you will succeed:

Stop drinking calories! No more: coke, juice, power drinks, milk, nothing but water. Water, which is all you need. Never drink calories when you are trying to lose weight.

Stop eating bread, and anything bread like. No more bread, you can lock a person in a cell for 60 days and feed them nothing but bread and water and they will live, that is how much energy (which will be converted into fat) is in bread.

If you eat like the Asians do: lots of fish and vegetables, and no milk, cheese, butter, etc., you''ll be fine. But one meal a week eat whatever you want.

The best foods are:

Salmon, fruits, veg''s, avocados, yogurt, nuts, basically all the stuff from the planet earth that mother nature made for you to eat. what you eat now is stuff rich people who don''t care about your health sell you. To change the way you eat is to change the way you live, it is to stop being a slave to the media and become a grown person who eats what they are supposed to, not what they are told to by the TV.

After a few years of eating healthy you will puke if you eat McDonald''s.

Weight loss tips for 15 year old?

Alright so I''m 15, I''m about 6''2" and weigh about 245 pounds, I want to lose about 20 pounds in the next month or 2, any tips?

Why Had I Stopped Losing Weight?

Recommended Answer:
Some ideas:

1) Set realistic expectations....20 pounds in a month is not realistic or healthy loss. 2-3 pounds a week is a realistic and healthy loss goal.
2) Drink lots of water.
3) Get moving...any exercise is good exercise. Walk, run, do stairs, walk some more, do jumping jacks, stand instead of sit....anything to get you on your feet will help.
4) Add veggies. Eat them.
5) Cut out junk food. No chips, no soda, no crap.
6) Get a friend to help you....encouragement is everything.
7) Don''t give up. No matter what...rain, snow, sleet, being tired...go out and get exercise.
8) Cut down on your salt.
9) Eat more chicken (not KFC) Chicken breast, tuna, lean meats.
10) Drink more water. I know I said it once, but it really does bear repeating.

  • Move more eat less its as easy as that I have lost weight. Cut down on fatty foods and fizzy drinks. Good luck.
  • Doing 5 minutes each of push-ups, lunges, and squats (in 30-second intervals) will help build and maintain muscle mass. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be, so you''ll torch more calories as you go about your day.

Gaining weight quickly?

Tips for Losing Weight Fast - Burn the Fat or Eat the Muscle?

Recommended Answer:
My suggestion is to try to gain 5 pounds in a month or so rather than in 2 weeks. This is because the chances of you succeeding by gaining 5 pounds in a month is higher compared to gaining it in 2 week. Unless you have the financial backing to hire me, fly me over and do a workout stint and diet for you, here is what I can provide for you over the internet.

The key thing about diet is to eat more calories. This does not mean you feed yourself huge meals 3 times a day. This will lead to indigestion, gastric pains and other digestive complications because there is only so much your body can digest at one time. The idea is to eat more meals a day, preferably 6. This can be difficult if you are on the move all day like I'm so I suggest just stick to your 3 meals like you do but bring a long a liter of milk with you before you leave the house. Drink 500ml of milk in between each of your meal and finish the last dose 2 hours after dinner. This will provide the extra calories you need to gain weight. If after a week your weight is still not going up, simply increase the amount of milk you drink by 100ml and stick to your normal portions for your normal meals. Keep doing this until you gain the weight you need to. You should be putting on roughly a pound a week in my opinion. Once you gotten 2-3 pounds, it is time to focus on getting the right workout to help you build muscles and ensure that your body gain weight more steadily.

The best workout to do in order to grow muscle mass in terms of size is to do a high weight low repetition workout called hypertrophy. This will adjust your muscles to use the food you eat as the main source of energy rather than oxygen like smaller muscles do. If you are starting out to gain muscle mass, perhaps you should download the program at http://gohforth.com. This program has been extremely effective for me personally and also benefited my clients very well.

One thing that many people miss out is the fact that sleep is extremely important to help you gain weight and maintain a strong immune system. This is because when you stay up late, have interrupted sleep cycle or not enough hours of rest, you will burn more calories throughout the day and this means that you have to eat more or risk loosing weight. This is made worse if your metabolism is like mine in the past and this will probably mean you will lose up to 3-4 pounds in a week due to poor quality sleep. The road is long and tough, but as long as your stick by the 3 things which is a high calorie diet, sleep well and do the right workout regime, you will see roughly a 1 pound of muscle weight gain a week. I hoped I have helped you.
