Will I get a flat stomach? No one answered!!! :(?

Hi! I'm asking it again since no one answered it before :/ Anyways, I've been doing these exercises and I'm wondering if I'll get to my goal. I've been quite committed seeing that I've banned all the sweets or junk food related out of my house. The morning I would do 25 crunches as well as the afternoon and at night. I jog/sprinted on grass one dayDid drills at the beach (including sprints and stretches) other dayUsed the arm shaker 15 push-ups 15 leg lifts 10 burpees Is this going to help me loose stomach fat? I have only a little muffin top though.... How long is it going to take exactly? Please no hate! Thanks :)

You'll get to your goal if you keep at it and have a little patience. Belly fat is the hardest to lose, so don't give up hope. As long as you see small improvements you will reach your goal eventually.

Other Answers:

  • Well yeah thats what made me get a flat stomach just by doing crunches and stopped eating junk food
  • You'll lose it quick about a couple of weeks or so but also try to cut out not all but a lot of starches/grain carbs and dairy because they tend to add to the midsection good luck and also try taking omega 3 or flax vitamins it works
  • Yeah that'll do the trick also make sure your eating healthy and it should all be good.
  • Yes it should, you need cardio ie running, dancing, swimming. To help burn the fat and then toning excercises like squats crunches and weights to help define the muscle to give you a toned fit look. Unfortunelty it can take awhile for results, usually it's 4 weeks till you see results in your body, 8 weeks till your family and friends do and 12 weeks for the rest of the world
  • Sounds good! What helped me loose a ton of weight (and I'm almost to a flat stomach) are pilates videos on youtube! Sounds silly but they helped so much! I followed an account called blogilaties and just did a workout a couple times a week. Goodluck!

I am so confused over some of these foods as I diet? Can you give me your feedback?

I am 48 and recently moved to a job where I get very little exercise from. My "normal" weight would be about 165 but hit as high as 178. I asked a friend for some dieting advice and in a week am down to 172. My eating has always been unusual. I never eat breakfast or lunch but from dinner until midnight I could eat more than most people do in a day. I am breaking that up. For example, I did just have lunch because I understand it is best to eat several small meals. I am suffering from a little anxiety because when I am hungry I would just go grab something but now I am backing it down.I am unsure of certain foods since there is contradictory info on the web. For example, I know fish is a big part of dieting but I am not a fish eater. I can eat tuna with mayo. Is that ok? What about the fish filets that are breaded and frozen? Eggs? With or without the yokes?I've been eating a lot of salad and went from ranch to oil and vinegar. No breads at all? No potatoes? I cannot starve myself so I am looking for filling foods. And I have been drinking a ton of water.

How to Lose Weight Hiking

try this to lose a LOAD of fat weight really fast ...its HIGH healthy fats such as Macadamia Nut Oil (6 tablespoons a day with your meals) ...moderate protein ...the usual food + whey isolates and very low carb (under 30 grams a day max) ....fibrous green veg only but you can eat a LOT of these as they are mostly fiber so the carbs don't count....this will force your body to begin burning its own storage fat for fuel....on 1 day per week have a refeed of whatever you want to reset your metabolism and Leptin hormone so your weight loss doesn't stall...as you can see its extremely easy ....the fat inches simply dissolve and then eventually your 6 pack will come through ...

Other Answers:

  • Potatoes are good just don't fry em. Bread is good make it whole wheat. Eggs are super good. Fish fillets are good you can always take out the breaded part . Skip the manoaise and just eat the tuna. Oil and vinegar is perfect
  • So many diets out there is mind-boggling, try to stick to things that are more closer to nature Like Fresh fruits fresh vegetables lean cuts of meats, seeds and nuts.. Cut down on packaged and Processed foods. As for exercise incorporate into your lifestyle cycling and walking Climbing the stairs at work So on and so forth
  • You got hold of some bad info.First, the reason you have been binging at night is because you skipped breakfast and lunch thereby forcing your body to trying to make-up for all the nutrients it had been deprived of since you got up in the morning. It's good you stopped that, but you really need to get something to eat for breakfast even if it is only a couple of mouthfuls of food.Second, fish is usually part of a weight loss diet program in the sense that it is lower in calories per serving. The same could be said of lean meats including chicken, beef, and pork. Third, you need to understand the mechanics of weight loss and gain. Each day your body burns a certain amount of calories from just keeping you alive; it takes energy to keep your body temperature constant, heart pumping, and lungs breathing. That amount of calorie burned is called Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and for someone your age it is around 1500 calories. This means if you did nothing but sat in your chair all day and you ate more than 1500 calories, the excess unburned calorie is converted to fat when you go to sleep. That is what body fat is - excess calories. The converse of that is if you consume less than you burn - a caloric deficit. This forces your body to convert body fat to fuel and is how you lose fat/weight. Keeping all this in mind, the strategy of weight loss is to increase the amount of calories you burn daily (BMR+exercise) and consume less than what you burn off.In reality although not good health, you could eat anything you want so long as you do not exceed what you burn from BMR+exercising. This is why some diet excludes breads and potatoes - actually carbohydrates because they tend to be caloric dense. But the truth is that if you had the will to limit the amount of carbs, you can still eat them.Eggs are very good source of protein, however the yolk is also very high in bad cholesterol. But it gets complicated because the scientific community is divided on whether consuming cholesterol actually increase cholesterol level in your body.Frozen anything tends to be less nutritious than the fresh counterpart. This is because the essential nutrients will breakdown over time. Even the orange juice you buy in cartons have less than 10% of fresh squeezed orange juice because from the time the oj in stores is packaged, delivered, and bought and consumed by you, al least several weeks would have passed. Here is some suggestions.:1) Continue with eat several small meals. Spread it out over the day even if it's just a few mouthfuls in the morning. Breakfast is important because it primes your body for the day and if you starve it in the morning, it will try to slow you metabolism down to conserve and this means you burn even less calories (lower you BMR).2) Look to foods that are nutrient dense - more bang for your buck. Avoid foods made with refined or bleached flour because they will make you hungry sooner. Those kinds of foods are packed with "empty calories" in that they have high amounts of calories but very low amounts of essential nutrients. If you eat them they will fill you up quick, but once your body sorts through them and finds nothing useful, it will make you hungry again. Notice that this is how most people get fat because when they get hungry again they eat the same things and continue a vicious cycle. Eat food that have fiber which has bulk and takes longer to digest. This will keep you satiated longer, too.3) Get some exercise. I know work can be a problem, but if you had time to eat at often as you stated in the past from dinner to midnight, you have time to exercise. Exercise can be a simple as taking a walk or using an exercycle/elliptical. When you are sitting at your desk at work, take breaks regularly. Get up and move around for a couple of minutes. If that is not possible, stand up and take several deep breathes. Make sure your posture is correct when sitting - bad postures interferes with breathing and this forces your body to slowdown. The name of the game is calories. Always end up each day with a deficit and you lose weight. Fake your appetite out with foods that are nutritious

Some people do but some people don''t. A lot depends on if you replace smoking with sweets, drinks or food - so if you DON''T start taking in a load of extra food or drink then of course you won''t put on weight !

  • when you quit smoking, you need to excercise daily and eat healthy, nutritional foods. if you dont, then you''ll put on alot of weight from all junk.
  • Make a habit of working out and aerobic exercise instead of smoking. you will not gain weight if you do this, and you will greatly improve your chances of getting into the fire department. Good luck, GW
  • Once nicotine works it''s way out of your system - your appetite will increase.
You can handle it if you eat H E A L T H Y - and not pig out on junk food & fast food garbage.

If you start snacking on everything in sight - then - yes - you will gain weight.
    The keyword is: ''MODERATION.''
  • Yes , you will gain weight after quitting smoking .

for this just don''t stop suddenly , gradually decrease the number of cigarettes per day and then quit !

How to Get Rid Of Excess Weight Due to High Salt Intake?

I''m deployed right now and the food we get is nothing beyond bland. To help the taste, I add soy sauce or salt just about everything I eat. I''ve been on a low calorie/carbs diet and have been working out daily in order to lose weight. It''s almost time for me to return home and I want to see how much I''ve lost but to do so I need to get rid of all the bloat I''m experiencing due to my high salt intake. I know, get rid of the soy sauce and stop salting everything. But what else can I do to help speed this along?

Otherwise ur whole diet and workoutroutine is useless. U m ight as well just go crazy on the junk food.

Judging by all of the husky ladies I see taking Zumba classes everyday at the gym, and judging by the fact that these husky ladies never seem to lose a pound, I would guess no. You''re much better off going for a jog for 30 minutes or using the elliptical machine for an hour. Just stick to classic aerobic activities, along with your diet, and you''ll lose the weight more quickly. I''m sorry for sounding mean, but Zumba, at least to me, seems to be a social gathering for big girls to dance. I see the same big girls every day doing the same activities. And if you look at the same big girls 6 months from now, they still look big and are doing the same dances. Running/jogging is the best exercise you can do to lose weight.

Will I lose weight if I eat between 1200 and 1800 calories per day...?

Leaning towards the 1800 side most days. I also workout for an hour 6x per week (strength and cardio mix), drink 2 cups of green tea most days, and 8 cups of water every day. And I do a 24 hour fast one day per week.
I''m 5''2'''', 131 pounds, and my goal weight is 110. I want to be down to at least 119 by May 1st. Will I lose weight doing this, and can you estimate how much I''ll lose per week (say... eating 1300 2 days per week, 1750 4 days, and only about 300 the day I fast)? Or do I need to make sure I stay under 1600?

How To Lose Weight With Low Carb Diets

Recommended Answer:
There is a wealth of knowledge on the Internet. Your first mission should be to uncover it.

- Try to spend an hour everyday for an entire week searching everything you could possibly read on fat loss, nutrition, strength training, weight loss, healthy diets, weights for fat loss, bodybuilding nutrition for fat loss etc.

- Doing this will not only make you more informed, it will prove that you have the minimum required level of motivation to seriously lose weight.

- Filter out the garbage trying to get your money. There''s plenty of free help out there.

Your plan should be mostly replacing processed food, saturated fats and sugars with nutritious fresh food. How you train is upto you. I would encourage weight training to be mixed in.

  • watch the documentry on netflix called "Fat, sick, and nearly dead" the first 10 minutes is kinda boring, but once you get past it, it gets better. anyways, Im 6''1 and was 332 lbs, fairly muscular tho, but was too heavy overall. I watched this documetry out of boredum, and it inspired and motivated me very much. So I did this diet the discuss in the movie. i lost 10lbs in the first week, 10lbs in the seconds week, and after a month and a half I lost a total of 52lbs, and got down to 280. Still got some work to do, but this movie was very helpful. if you don''t have netflix, i believe they have it in 2 parts on youtube as well, or you can rent the dvd somewhere.
  • If your going to invest your time and money into something, put it towards "INSANITY". trust me when I say this. I was 15yrs old weighing my highest of 210.7lbs. My doctor told me I was a heart attack waiting to happen. I changed my diet COMPLETELY, and began my journey with insanity. I kid you not, within the first couple weeks-1month I saw crazy results. Now I am 5''4 weighing 155lbs and still going. I am not lying, I was one of those skeptics and there was even times where I felt like giving up. I was helpless and had no one to turn to. If only you seen my before an after pics. it''s crazy, I''m not stopping till I reach my goal of 125lbs. (: I want to share this with everyone because like most, I felt like I''ve tried everything and it just wasn''t working. No, INSANITY really works. I''m not gonna lie, it''s tough but worth it. Trust me!
  • I completely understand as I used to weigh 320 lbs. as of last June. I continue to lose weight but am now down to 243 lbs. with a goal of hitting 195 lbs. by the end of the year. (I am 6''1"). The ONLY way to lose weight permanently is to learn to eat correctly. Eliminate ALL fast food, junk food, soda and sugary drinks from your diet. Instead, eat 5 small meals a day that consist of around 50% protein/30% carbs/20% fats and make sure that you are eating at least 1200 calories a day. Include a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily and start exercising. Start a combination of cardio and weight training for 5 to 6 days a week. Nothing else will work, especially fad diets that can actually hurt you more than help you. I can help you if needed. See my Facebook page listed below.
