How to write a Resume after years of being out of the work force?

I worked in the medical field for years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was disabled for about 11 yrs. due to being morbid obese and poor mobility. I didn't work from 2000 - 2012. I recently went to work for myself doing Private Duty Caregiver for an individual. I was able to go to work due to the fact I had weight loss surgery may of 2010 and lost from 293lbs at the height of 5'3 and am now down to 125lbs and in a size 6 clothes and am more mobile. The private Duty Caregiver work that I performed listed above lasted from 9/24/2012 - 8/01/2013 and ended because the family had the Lady I took care of to move into their home in Florida so my job ended and I can't give out that personal information due to the patient privacy act. I have a GED received in 1992 and some college. I am applying to a Department Store as a cashier and am at a loss to even how to start out a Resume!

How to Burn Body Fat and Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

Mmmmm, HIPAA allows a caregiver to identify their patients and confirm that they treated them, assuming the patient didn't request the caregiver not release the information. The caregiver can even give general information. Where that puts you, I'm not sure. On my resume, I would list it "Private Duty Caregiver" and if the patient didn't want his information on your resume, then I would state "Patient has asked for his information to remain private". You can still list your duties, tasks, and what you why you were caring for the patient. If an interviewer asks you about the gap in employment, explain that you had a medical issue that has since been resolved and will not affect your ability to complete your job in any way. For a department store cashier, you don't typically need a resume. You will fill out a pre-formatted application. If it's online and it allows you to upload anything, upload a cover letter explaining your experience dealing with people and briefly state that you took time off to deal with a since resolved medical issue. If it's in person, you can include your resume and cover letter by stapling it to the app, should you wish.

Your goal weight is way too low for your height. Even at 97, you should be careful. See your Dr and see what he or she thinks. Stay healthy.

  • Hi in my experiance i don't have a diet plan just exercising i do running 30 to 45 min a day and it take my two months for a healthy weight
  • do some jogging and exercise ....will help you and in another case go to google...
  • I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

How to tone my legs and not eat?

Before you start about the whole "not eating is a bad idea", I was anorexic and bulimic for 1.5 years. I am recovered and do not want to fall back into old habits. Hear me out.

I''m 14-years-old, 5''7, and weigh around 115. I know I am not "underweight" or "overweight". In fact, my BMI 17.6 (last time I checked), and that''s 0.9 away from being considered "underweight". I''m content with my actual weight at the moment, I just want to tone and stuff. I hate my figure.
I want to mainly focus on toning my legs. My thigh are huge and nasty and jiggle when I walk. They squeeze together when I sit. I have a small thigh-gap, but that baby''s there.<3 AND I want to flatted my stomach. I have a "pooch" or a small "roll" or "flab" and it''d be nice if that thing would disappear.

I''m supposed to consume 1200 a day. To keep weight off, I made that 925 for now. I do yoga (15th day, once a day, 20 mins). I exercise, per se, a tiny bit. Not big on muscle building.
Hod do I stop myself from eating more then my goal? Remember, I don''t wanna lose weight, I wanna keep it off. If I was losing weight I wouldn''t eat at all AND I''d burn more cals than I ate. I just want to keep it off.

The Truth About Losing Weight

Recommended Answer:
I kno you said don''t say anything about not eating, but not eating will just hold on to that fat your trying to lose. Your body thinks " oh no I''m starving!" And goes into survival mode by saving up all the fat it can and turning any muscel into fat. Also remember you might gain a few pounds because muscle weighs more than fat does.also about the calories.... it doesn''t really matter how many you eat, its what your eating. Think about it this way: if you eat 1200 calories worth of junk food v.s eating 1200 calories worth of healthy things like fruit, your going to get two completely different results. So you can eat a little more, just make it healthy and the fat will be gone in no time! I''m 13 and 5''5 and around 120 but its muscle. Not nasty looking bulging muscle but the nice kind you can''t see. I''m still pretty thin though and am working on losing the little pudge I have. I''ve lost a lot though and trust me when I say I kno my stuff cuz I do more research than the fbi and a desperate mom combined when I wanna kno something

  • If you want to tone, you''ll have to have the recommended number of calories a day, or even more, focusing on protein. Chocolate milk is a miracle drink after an exercise. Yoga is a good start, but twenty minutes a day can be negligible. But, I don''t know you well enough. You should give your doctor a call, he''ll be happy to help.
  • Actually underweight is anything under 18.5.

Does zumba fitness really work on the wii and can i expect weight loss with 1300 calorie diet.?

Should Ketosis Feel Good?

When I am in Ketosis during a low carb diet I don''t really feel that great. Most low carb advocates talk about all the wonderful benefits of Ketosis (and I have lost tremendous amounts of weight and lowered my blood sugar with it!), but I don''t have a high level of "well-being" during this phase. It''s kind of like right before you realize you have a cold and you have a day of "woozies" (or kids will get cranky) etc.....Is this normal? Or should I be feeling like I am at optimal health during this time? Any suggestions on how to improve my sense of "well being" during this phase?

Thank you

Weight Loss - Are You Fighting With Yourself to Lose Weight?

Recommended Answer:
Are you eating enough calories? Is your dietary fat ratio >65%? Are you eating a nutrient dense diet? Are you staying hydrated?

When you restrict carbohydrates, you quickly deplete glycogen stores. Glycogen holds 3x it''s weight in water, so depleting them is like wringing out a sponge. This causes dehydration & an electrolyte imbalance because you lose a lot of salts with the water. It''s very important for low carbers to increase their salt & potassium intake. Salt & potassium have a yin/yang relationship.

Salt and water work together to do important work in your body, including stimulating your metabolism, helping you detoxify, support your adrenals and making sure your nerves, hormones and immune system function properly.

I recommend dissolving half teaspoon each of UNrefined salt, potassium & ascorbic acid (vit.C) in 6-8 oz of water & drink every morning to replenish electrolytes. This can be done up to 3x a day if necessary. I buy a salt substitute (NuSalt, NoSalt, Morton''s Salt substitute, etc) for a cheap form of potassium. This should alleviate fatigue, headaches, dizziness or constipation caused by dehydration. Make sure you drink lots of water.

I really think this salt solution will help you feel much better. I would also recommend taking a vitamin B complex & a multivitamin daily. Have you had your vitD levels checked, they are lowest this time of year which can lower your immunity & sense of well being.

Lately, I''ve been taking tsp each of UNrefined salt, potassium & ascorbic acid (vit.C) and adding this to my drinking water jug & drinking this all day long. I have noticed a difference & plan to continue.

Refined salt may not be healthy, but UNrefined salt is vital to good health.

Unrefined salt contains over 80 minerals. Natural (unrefined) Salt is 85 % Sodium Chloride and Processed (refined) Salt is 98 % Sodium Chloride. The refining process ensures that salt won''t go rancid, but eliminates all of salt''s life-sustaining properties.

I recommend eating these 2 items daily. If you need additional fat or calories, you can add a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil to the ground flax seed cereal. I highly recommend virgin coconut oil for people needing quick energy - fats provide sustained energy, but coconut oil is the only fat that is converted to quick energy like a carb.

Half an avocado mashed with mayo seasoned with cayenne & eaten with pork rinds or celery.

Ground flax seed (4 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg - let sit 10 min. to absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 min for daily fiber needs.

I''m a proponent of low carb diets & highly recommend a fat based diet to maximize health. All carbs >9g per hour trigger insulin & insulin doesn''t allow other hormones to function when it dominates the bloodstream. People think a low carb way of eating is for weight loss when actually it is for normalizing the body & allowing the body to finally function properly & is just as good for the underweight as overweight.

This is an example of my idea of a near perfect 2200 calorie diet (70% of calories from dietary fats & 100% of RDA for all dietary nutrients) & a good example of Atkins life plan - I would actually include much more vegetables, but this is an example of the basics to cover 100% of RDA for all dietary nutrients. Males would need 2500 calories though.

This has 108g total carbs but after subtracting fiber (which has no calories) only has 56g net carbs.

Perfect diet -

4 cups Romaine lettuce
2 med tomatoes
half cup sweet red pepper
1 cup kale
1 avocado
4 each strawberries

1 oz raw Almonds
1 oz chia seeds
1 oz flax seeds
3 oz raw sunflower seeds

2T butter
half cup coconut milk
1oz cheddar cheese
8oz plain yogurt
1oz canned oysters (about 4)
4oz can sardines
2 lg eggs

99g - protein
56g - net carbs - 108g total carbs less 52g fiber
170g - fat

total calories 2200

  • NO. Forced ketosis is very bad and having high levels of ketones is deadly.

Having high ketones makes you feel sick and should not feel good at all. Period.
