No at the start of a diet it is common to lose alot of weight. Most of it is because you've changed from an unhealthy diet to a clean and healthy diet so you'll lose alot of water weight. You'll lose less weight each week so make sure you lower your calories of your diet by 100 every week and also do more excercise. Youll defineatly lose 30lbs in 4 months id say itll take you only about 12 weeks. GOOD LUCK!Is it bad to lose 6lbs in a week?

I've started to measure my portions, and I've been walking 1-4 miles every day. I got weighed on Monday, and I had lost 6lbs! I am overweight, hence the reason why I'm trying to lose weight/live a much healthier lifestyle. I've drastically cut out carbs..and if I do eat bread it's only one slice. I've also been cutting back on sweets, only allowing myself one day a week to eat something bad. Is it normal to lose 6lbs my first week? I'm hoping in 4 months I can lose 30lbs.
