How to Lose Weight on a Budget
Recommended Answer:
1 pound of fat is represented as 3500 calories.Go on to this site --> http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ This calculates (very roughly, once you do it give or take maybe 200 calories either way) your 'basal metabolic rate'. So the amount of calories you would burn if you sat in bed all day.I'm just going to make an example.Height: 5'6Weight: 170 lbsAge: 20Gender: FemaleSo according to this site this person would burn around 1610 calories if they sat in bed all day. But I would say that's anywhere between 1400 - 1700.If you ate a 1200 calorie diet (the recommended amount when trying to lose weight, and obviously it would have to consist of healthy diet) You would be burning 200 - 500 more calories then you are taking in! Plus if you did exercise, that burned lets say 200 calories, you'd be burning 400 - 700 more calories! If you managed to burn 700 more calories than you took in every day, that's 4900 calories a week, so about 1 1/3 pounds. So just over 5 pounds a month..Now take that example, and find out your on base metabolic rate using that calculator and apply the same process to your own situation.Sorry about the long post, hope it was worth the read and helped you understand it better. xOther Answers:
- 100 calories worth.
- 500 calories is not enough to maintain basic life functions for very long...........>You burn more than 600 calories a day with simply breathing, heartbeat, basic bodily functions..........>
- Downloads he myfitnesspal app or go onto myfitnesspal.com it's a great site for that
- I would imagine it depends on how you eat your calories. I just lost 20lbs and it took two months. The first 10 of it came off in 10 days. That was just water weight and waste. I never eat over 900 calories and exercise. You will lose A LOT of weight doing this but who knows how much you would lose. I get very frustrated because it's coming off slow now. But maybe it will stay off longer. Good luck honey :-)
