How to Lose Weight Lifting Weight

Hi Juan, P90X is actually great for getting muscle. There are several, there are additional videos for it available now and even P90X 2. There are many others, like Insanity or Tapout XT, and they are all decent but they focus more on explosiveness and developing lean muscle, P90X is the best systematic video set for developing muscle. There are some tricks you need to know to maximize results though for muscle growth! The meal plan is good but is still designed more for weight loss than muscle growth. Most people will be still running a caloric defecit, this is tricky a bit so be VERY mindful. Without the use of steroids or HGH or some other aid, the human body only puts on approxiametly 1 pound of muscle a week but that is VERY hard to accomplish. For muscle growth you need a calorie surplus not defecit. Seeing as we already said you'll max at one pound per week we need to aim at that or lower. One pound = 3,500 calories. So seeing as P90X is a 6 day a week program with a rest day, during the exercise days you will need to consume an additional 583 calories or so above your daily burn. It's hard to hit specific calories consumed so monitor your weight and body fat percentage. Most builders will add muscle for a cycle and then do a fat cutting cycle after as it's really tough to be exact with this but it can be done if you're careful.Obviously you need protein and a small amount of carbs to build muscle, so within the first hour after a routine hit the protein, whether you're doing eggs whites with a slice of whole wheat toast or you're doing s protein shake, it's essential you consume it as quickly after a workout as possible. You probably know there are slow burning carbs (whole grain such as oatmeal) and fast burning carbs (sugars and refined white products), but there is also slow burning protein (casein protein) and fast burning protein (whey protein). After a workout a quality whey protein shake with some carbs and amino acids are fantastic, while later at night if your looking for a snack a couple hours before bed, a casein shake is great. You are trying to stay anabolic, P90X is awesome at that. Make sure you use weights that put you in the 8 - 12 rep catagory.Hope that helps, the link below is to a blog that does an EXCELLENT job of pointing out the differences and uses of proteins.Good Luck!Other Answers:
- There is a pretty insane muscle building DVD called "Insanity". All you need for equipment is a good amount of space. It costs around 100 bucks but in the end it is all worth it
