How many bowel movements should a normal person have?

This is weird to talk about but it really bugs me because I don''t think this is normal. I''ll usually go once every 4-5 days or so and I don''t think its normal because I eat a good diet. I''ve had this problem since I was a teenager and there are times I''ve gone a 2-3 weeks without going. I eat a lot of fiber and take vitamins to try and be healthy but nothing seems to work for this problem. I figured before it was because I ate a lot of junk food but I''ve been dieting for a year (1800 calories a day) and lost nearly a hundred pounds (312-216) but I still have this constant constipation and it drives me crazy. Also a lot of times when I do go I have awful cramps and is generally a miserable and painful experience but I don''t have medical insurance so I don''t really know what''s wrong with me or what I''m doing wrong. Any suggestions?

Your bathroom habits though dont sound so good. It looks like youre having constipation.

You should try flax seed. Its a natural seed that helps your digestion. Also be sure to eat enough fruits and vegetables, drink a lot of water and get enough movement!

If this doesnt help within a few weeks, I would go to a doctor since this can get very serious.
