Why People Want to Lose Weight

I agree with kittypaws. Check with your doctor to put your mind at ease on what could be the tummy problem like I did. It turns out that I have severe gastritis and cannot go long periods of habitual meal skipping or else I will land myself in the hospital again. As for what kittypaw suggested, bread is a good way to gain weight, so maybe you can use what she said and some of my advice to help you gain weight faster:)
In terms of diet, you need to consume way more calories than you are eating right now. This does not mean junk food or fast food 24/7, but rather eating more meals which you have to plan to have more carbohydrates. My practice is to eat 3 meals a day and drink milk 3 times a day. This will ensure that you remain healthy with the benefits of protein to build muscles, calcium to provide strong skeletal structure and also enough calories to be used as a meal easily. The best thing is still to eat home cooked meals which you carefully planned out weeks in advance, but for now why not give this a try and watch the scale go up by 1-2 pounds first? My suggestion is to start by measuring your weight now. Once you have taken note of your weight, take note of the day and time when you do so because this will become the habit for you to do on a consistent basis every week to ensure that you are consuming the right diet. Once you have done that, start by drinking 500ml of milk 3 times a day first. If after a week you still do not gain weight, simply drink an additional 100ml of milk each time. Keep increasing the amount by 100ml each time until you gain 1-2pounds. Once you are there, you are ready for step 2 and 3 which is to workout and sleep well.
In order to gain muscle mass to give you more weight, you need to do an exercise which stimulates a lot of muscles so that you can produce the most growth. You will also need to do a high intensity workout which will cause the muscles to need a lot of energy fast in order to get muscle mass. One guide which does this very well is called the real natural guide to gain weight at http://gohforth.com. I found it a few years ago and have been using/teaching it since. It has not failed me so I''m certain it will produce the same results for you as it meets all the criteria of a good workout to gain muscle mass.
Lastly, sleep is the tip which is often left out. If you do not sleep well or have interrupted sleep pattern, chances are you are going to burn more calories. Coupled with your high metabolism rate and your body''s need to use nutrients to repair your muscles, you will lose weight rather than gain it. A good tip I use in the past until now is to sleep and wake up by myself. This means you do not fall asleep with alcohol or sleeping pills. Similarly, you have to wake up yourself rather than be sounded awake by the alarm or the sunlight spilling into your room. I did this on the weekend so that I know the hours I need and simply replicate it everyday and my weight did go up. Remember that weight gain is a long process and you should be looking to gain around 1 pound of muscle a week, any guide out there which promises more is lying or making you gain more fat than muscles.

- I suggest to go to the doctor and tell him what the matter is. If he has already seen you, and there''s nothing wrong, bread is an awesome weight gainer, I''m losing weight because of some other problem you don''t want to know of, but it does help me! Hope you feel better !

- Putting on weight can be tricky. One thing you should not do is just pile a bunch of sugar, fat, and salt into your diet. It may be a way to put on lbs but it will only pile fat on your body and make your stomach issues worse. If you need a meal plan, here is a link to a website that creates free weight gain (and weight loss) meal plans. Just enter that you are 18 years old and be sure to put that you need a weight gain diet.
Some tips if you do not want to have a meal plan:
Eat calorically dense foods that do not upset your stomach. Try nuts, seeds, cheese, whole fat dairy products, 6 servings of bread/carbohydrate per day, lean meats, cranberry juice, and vegetables/fruit. Peanutbutter is a good calorically dense food that tastes good on a lot of things. Energy bars, "boost" brand protein shakes by novartis, and other supplements are also good.
