Can you still lose fat without exercising on an empty stomach?

Basically i want to know if i can still lose fat if i exercise at 4pm when i come back from school, its difficult getting up in the morning to exercise on an empty stomach before school, i was thinking oF doing HIIT on a cycle after school, 1min on/1min off

Im 15,5''7,184lbs, target weight loss=30lbs

My tips would be..
1. Depending on how far away you live from school, walk home
2. Exercise in front of a mirror.... it helps me
3. Dont over do the exercise.. the most important part of it is the resting period
4. And yes exercising after 4pm is fine
5. Eat less, cut out bad foods, try to eat something in the morning

    HIIT is pretty effective, I''d also suggest doing Jillian Michaels 3-2-1 (3 minutes muscular strength - 2 minutes cardio - 1 minute abs) technique. I lost 5.5 inches in one week by doing the 30 Day Shred. Inches count a lot more than weight.
