How Does Counting Calories Help With Weight Loss?

Recommended Answer:

It's basically impossible to lose weight that fast HOWEVER the only you could get possibly close is very very strategic. You would REALLY have to want it, and be willing to be in pain. You'd have to work out EVERYDAY for at least an hour (if not more) run for an hour, bike for an hour. You'd have to push yourslef. Not only would you need to exercise, but if you're eating sh!t then you're not gonna lose weight. Drink 4 bottles of water a day (minimum. water is an excellent way to lose weight) and eat under 1500 calories a day. (if you really want to lose weight you'll read the back of the boxes and write that sh!t down and make sure you don't eat anymore than that.) It's important to eat breakfast also. Don't skip it. eat it. It's hard to explain all the neccesary things you'll need to do in order to get anywhere close to losing 15 pounds in a month. Losing weight is HARD WORK. You didn't gain the weight overnight. One work out ain't gonna cut it. Everyday intense work out. It's gonna suck. if you really want to do it though, you'd change your entire eating habits and excercise on a regular basis anyways. Temporary fixes never work. good luck

How can I lose weight safely and effectively without going into starvation mode?

Let's start with my basic info :I'm a 16 year old girl, I'm 5"9 feet tall and weight 216 lbs, which is considered obese. At the begining of this month I realized that I really wanted to lose weight when a kid called me fat. So, I signed up with MyFitnessPal and started doing some Elliptical speed walking for 20 mins, then 30 then 45 minutes 5 days a week. Also, I started eating 1500 calories a day. How to Lose Weight Without Cardio

Recommended Answer:

Before every meal, drink water. That will make the food you eat filling at it helps burn calories a LOT faster. With that, 3-4 times a week, work out. I suggest doing a 10 minute work out, where you do any exercise for 30 seconds each, and in between take a 10 second water break. Skip dinner, not breakfast. Breakfast gives you the energy you need for the day, and keep your metabolism going. Eat lots of fruit and veggies and get lots of 'beauty' sleep. Hope that helped!

Fatty liver with cyst and mild hydronephrosis?

I had an abdominal MRI done last week and I picked up the written report two days ago and it says that I have a fatty liver w/ cyst and mild hydronephrosis. Initially I had the MRI to look at a giant fibroid I have. I was wondering if the hydronephrosis is being caused by my fibroid pushing up against the ureter? Also, what (other than alcohol) can cause a fatty liver w/ cyst? I'm just so freaked out over this, I have an appointment with my doctor on friday to go over the MRI. But he's an OBGYN specialist. Should I ask to be referred to a specialist for my kidneys and liver?

How to Lose Weight Fast with High Protein Food

There are different things that can cause a fatty liver disease:alcohol consumption, certain kinds of medications like steriods, weight gain, fast weight loss, malnourishment, diabetes, insulin resistance, high cholesterol/triglyceride levels, metabolic disorders and others.Following closely your doctor advice is the best thingyou can do. Whether it is diet, stopping certain drugs, controlling your glucose, etc. There is normally about 5% fat inside a healthy liver. However, as the fat builds up, it can cause damageto the liver cells (the liver is surrounded by a tightmembrane capsule). If the liver cells become damagethe immune system of the body will respond to thisdamage and cause the liver to develop inflammationinside of it also. This can lead to the liver enlargingin size and taking on a spongy texture. It is thenknown as Steatohepatitis. Stopping the causeis the best way to reverse this problem. .....Many people have cysts. They can be fluid filled or(cortical)..have something other than fluid, like proteininside of them...very rarely are they cancerous. The doctors usually just keep an eye on them to seeif they enlarge. If they do enlarge, of which they wouldpush on the other good cells around them, then thedoctor may go in and remove the wall of the cyst andlet it drain out into the body and be absorbed. This may require an ultrasound or Ct scan to watch it.Hydronephrosis can cause from an infection, a blockageof the flow of urine from the kidneys . It is really hard todetermine the cause here. You should be referred to a gastroenterologist orhepatologist for the liver problem and possiblyan urologist for the kidney one, if the doctor believesit more than just an infection. Best wishes

How to Lose Weight while Pregnant

Recommended Answer:

You should weigh about 115. What's your weight now? Avoid junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar), gluten, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream, soda, chips, tobacco, alcohol and coffee. No oil except olive and mac nut. To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, unsweetened veggie and fruit juice. Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches.

Add enough strength training and cardios.DO HIIT(High intensity Interval Training). All the best!

How can I come out of the "starvation period" without gaining back all the weight?

I have been on a 200 calories a day diet for the last 3 months, and I've lost quite a bit of weight. I actually feel good about myself for the first time in years. Anyways, how can I ease my way back into eating normally (like 1000 calories a day) so that the weight doesn't all come back? I understand at least a little bit of it will, but I don't want all of it back, or even half. Any tips, diets, or exercises will be greatly appreciated :) p.s. I'm a 15 year old girl

How to Lose Baby Weight After Two Years

Congratulations on your weight loss! Here are some foods and workouts you can try:Eat Only Whole FoodsBecause you're giving your body what it recognizes as the cleanest fuel, it will digest and metabolize it more easily. If Mother Nature didn't make it, don't eat it. This means your carbs include whole grains, fruit, dairy, and starchy vegetables; proteins include beans, meat, cold water fish, poultry, and eggs; and healthy fats include nuts, seeds, and oils like canola, olive, and hemp.Get BitterDon't get all "Eww, bitter!" on me just yet. Another healthy way to lose pounds fast (or maintain ideal weight) is to simply eat one serving of bitter-tasting food, per meal, for three meals a day. These pound-shedders include kale, arugula, olives, almonds, miso, collard greens, mustard greens, radish, dandelion leaves, and radicchio. Mix them into an omelet, soup and other foods you like. Get creative!Make the Most of Your TimeWe've all heard that it's good to be as active as you can with everyday activities -- but what if you went even further and turned those already-helpful everyday activities into interval training? "Intervals keep your heart rate going for maximum burn, and studies show that it's much more effective than steady state cardio for fat burning," says Kristin McGee, celebrity yoga and fitness expert. Two ideas: 1. When brushing your teeth in the morning and before bed, do 50 squats both times, as quickly as you can without dribbling toothpaste all over your bunny slippers. Though brushing and squatting might take some practice, form here is key. "Sit back in an imaginary chair and be sure your knees don't go past your toes," McGee says. "Stand back up squeezing your glutes (bottom)." 2. When yapping on the phone, do heel raises. Stand with your feet in ballet first position, heels together and toes turned out, and rise to your toes and then lower down. Do this every time you get a call, or even if you find yourself stuck in a bank or grocery line. "Heel raises are discreet, and you can do them throughout the day, all day long." She suggests 20 reps, five times a day. This way, you can keep any pounds that want to creep back away for good! Hope this helps, there are more tips in the blog below. Good luck!

  • Its really unhealthy to have a diet such as this, But to bounce back into a normal diet is to eat small portions of healthy stuff. you might gain all the weight back on, that's why many people recommend just exercising and a healthy diet. Start a beginner workout and eat a balanced diet, you will gain a bit more weight, but you cant go back into the starvation period since it'll just be a vicious cycle. :)
