So I'm trying to lose just a tiny bit of weight in 2.5 weeks now. I've cut my daily calorie intake down to 1,200. Is this enough? If its possible I'd like to lose 1-2lbs a week. 1200 is the lowest you should go if you're reducing your calorie intake, so that's okay. and as long as you're eating healthy and don't continue after you've lost all the fat, you should be okay,and won't lose muscle. and at 1200 calories a day you'd already be losing 1-2lbs a week. I'f you're going to excersise too, make sure you're eating very healthy throughout the day, and eating a good amount of protein, or you'd start losing muscle since your body isn't getting enough calories to maintain your weight properly. If you're going to exercise, and burn maybe 500 calories a day , you'll probably lose around 3lbs a week, but that's okay since it's dieting and exercising combined. Just be careful to watch your weight, or you'll end up losing too much, and it'll start to affect Muscle and not fat.
