I'm a 6 foot 4 male and weigh 270 pounds and i am 16, i would really like to start working out and losing some weight by running and doing squats and other things like pushups. but i lack the knowledge on what to do and how to do it. i was just wondering if anyone had something like a training schedule or a website that explains the way to do different things like crunches, the correct way because the last thing i need is a injury. any info would be greatly appreciated.

As you say, injuries are to be avoided. Working out in the correct way will help you prevent this. Another benefit of correct workout is that your muscles will be hit in the intended way, which leads to better muscle growth. Check out the link below to start building a beginners workout program. • Protein shakes will make you gain weight. They are used like meal replacements, but too much protein will makes you thirsty. When we are thirsty we also feel hungry, so you will end up eating too much later. Try fruit juices. Something that is made of real fruit. Find something low in sugar and high in fiber. The best way is to juice it yourself if you can. And drink a lot of water. It has 0 calories and does wonders to make you feel fuller longer. Also don't eat any processed food, sugars, or oils and do cardio workouts for about 30 min a day.

Will I lose weight by having two salads a day? (IMPORTANT)?

Will I lose weight by only eating two salads a day?
hello! I''m 14, almost 15. Will I lose weight by only eating two salads a day? (6 leafs lettuce, 1 tomato&1 can of clean tuna, no oil) I don''t exercise at all. I weight 200ibs, 90 kg. I doesn''t look like I weigh so much though. Please don''t tell me I should exercise because I know I should but I never get round to it. Also, will I have excess skin? My mother says no, as I have a lot of elasticity as I''m young, ans will my nails grow even though and my hair? SORRY FOR SO MANY QUESTIONS, I NEED HELP, AS I''M YOUNG I HAVE NO IDEA. :3

10 Reasons to Lose Weight & Improve Your Weight Loss

You can have lettuce and tomatoes more than 2times a day because it is healthy and barely any calories, but use a light dressing. Also, most people hate exercising so do it without actually going for a run. walk up the stairs instead of an elevator. walk your dog. stop sitting in front of the tv. etc

  • If thats all you eat then yes..
  • This is a horrible food strategy. Most of the weight you are going to lose will be muscle, which holds 70 percent water. The water weight loss will be the weight you see coming off but it will cost you in how you look. You will look ill, not healthy.
  • You need more variety so you get all the nutrients you need, including good fats that your brain and body both need. You want your diet to be something you can stick to for life for the most part ( your taste will change as you get older, you''ll like more foods) you''ll get sick of the same thing over and over as well. It''s extra important for you, because of your age, you are still developing hormonally, (becoming a woman) you don''t want to mess that up with an extreme diet. Most people hate exercise, because they don''t let themselves break into it, and they don''t keep it enjoyable.
The Most Important Thing You Must Understand is you need to keep your program ENJOYABLE! If your brain or body find it too painful, no matter how strongly your mind is committed to working the program, eventually, (usually less than 6 weeks) your brain will make you quit! It won''t tolerate pain.At the same time it''s so very important that you allow your body and brain time to adjust to your new training. From tendons being stretched to complicated metabolic issues, to learning proper form, pace and routines your brain and body need at least 6 weeks to line up to really get things going.
Don''t give much credit to the scale when first starting, it''s normal to retain more fluids, it''s your body''s way of being ready for the next workout. Don''t micro-manage your calories either. Sensible wholesome meals, the quality of the calories is more important than the quantity. Your diet should be ENJOYABLE too, and something you can develop and maintain as a habit.
Workout at your own pace, which in the beginning should be slower, focus more on how you move ( your form) as it''s important to how your body will shape up and that you don''t get injured. Just about any exercise is good and will work, walking, jogging, running, cycling but my favorite and number one choice for losing or gaining weight is weightlifting aka bodybuilding. If your a girl, don''t worry that you''ll get manly muscles, the average steriod-free female builds only a small amount of muscle each year. But that muscle is awesome! Because not only does it burn calories while your working and using them, and while they are repairing and replenishing themselves, but 24/ 7 they consume calories just to stay alive! Just try not to miss a single day of working out for the first 6 months without a real good reason, otherwise slacking off can become the habit. Other than taking your two scheduled days off per week. Rest is important, so get to bed at a decent time as well. Make sure you drink plenty of water everyday. Learn to drink water warm, so you can have it anytime/anywhere. Other than keeping it sensible and enjoyable, remember all the benefits you''ll get from exercising and a decent diet. You''ll sleep better, have better energy, breathing, moods, concentration, endurance, strength, self-confidence, and so much more. It''s really the closest thing to magical powers each human has, so don''t miss out! 45-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week is ideal, but by all means start with less if need be, again keeping it enjoyable is everything! Just start easy, give your body time to start providing you additional energy, keep learning more as you go, and before you know it, you''ll have the body you''ve always wanted, with the loads of extra benefits I pointed out.

Actually you are your best friend when it comes to weight loss. Others can seem like they''re helping but don''t always have your best interest in mind. I say only trust yourself when it comes to weight, and rely on your own willpower and strength to avoid temptation and the perseverance to keep working out. You can''t fully trust people in this situation, be your own biggest fan!

Does dieting make you lose weight just in the stomach?

Does going on a diet make you lost weight in the face, legs, arms or just in the stomach area?

Running For Weight Loss - How Quick Should I Lose Weight?

Recommended Answer:
No. Dieting causes you to lose weight all over. But not necessarily in proportion. So if you have a big butt and a big gut, you may lose more gut than butt. Or maybe thigh, even if you don't really need to. It's not very controllable, even with exercise. Which, by the way, you don't need to do to lose weight. You should exercise, but it's mainly for all over health and not weight loss. It takes a lot of exercise to burn calories. Most people don't have that much time available to devote to it.

  • Well nobody goes on a diet without excersise. Who "just" diets? Yes, walking is excersise. Things you do in everyday life is excersise. Walking to find remote or carrying the laundry. You lose fat from legs and stomach. Thighs mostly. :)
