Healthy body image idea?

So, I'm a 15 year old girl who has lost 60 pounds in 8 months. I started at 5 foot 6, 195, and now I'm 135. I want to lose about 15-20 more pounds a majority of which is belly fat, and tone up. I think weighing myself every day and strictly counting calories is making me miserable. So...school starts in two weeks. I think I've decided I'm not going to weigh myself until the morning before. I'm also going to stop counting calories strictly, but I WILL watch what I eat and estimate.I started today, this is my diet intake:I had a handful of goldfish crackers while running after preschoolers at Vacation Bible School from 8:30 to twelve this morning. Not the best choice, but I forgot to bring myself a snack. a bottle of water (50 calories)Brunch: a bowl of whole grain oatmeal with peanut butter mixed in and half a banana. two bottles of water (400 calories)Snack: a handful of baby carrots and a few blueberries (50 calories)Dinner: a baked chicken breast seasoned with garlic, steamed carrots, and greenbeans (400 calories), bottle of waterI am about to head to the gym and do an hour of cardio. (20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 of interval training on the treadmill, and 20 on the stationary bike) which will probably burn 400. Throughout the day, I've done about 30 minutes of strength training exercise. Tonight for a snack I'll probably have some air popped popcorn with a dash of garlic salt.I'll estimate by the end of the day I'll have consumed about 1100-1300 calories and burned 500-600. Am I doing okay? And do you think not weighing myself will help my body image?

Here's your ideal weight range --> http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=15&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=6&cheightmeter=180&x=94&y=11Here is your BMR --> http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=15&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=6&cpound=135&cheightmeter=180&ckg=60&cactivity=1&x=0&y=0You should have no problem losing more fat. However, you need to be careful to not lose too much. As a growing teen, you should keep 20% body fat whether or not you happen to like how it appears on your body. The most economical way to do that is to buy some skin fold calipers and learn how to take the measurements. You'll need to buy some calipers like this --> http://www.heartratemonitors.com/hrmfat.html?productid=hrmfat&channelid=FROOG or this --> http://www.heartratemonitorsusa.com/accufitness-f3k.html?productid=accufitness-f3k&channelid=FROOG&utm_source=CSEs&utm_medium=GoogleShopping&utm_campaign=heartratemonitorsusa .Then follow the instructions that come with the calipers or use a website like this ---> http://www.muscleandstrength.com/tools/how-to-measure-bodyfat-using-calipers.html or this --> http://www.free-online-calculator-use.com/skin-fold-test.html#Chest .Measuring body fat with calipers is tricky and requires some practicing until you begin to get consistent and accurate measurements. Obese people can't expect good results from using this method. Don't expect extreme accuracy because there is not accurate way to measure body fat. Using calipers in the best way possible should get you within 3-5% of your actual body fat percent. Also, don't focus too much on the numbers without a good reason. How much body fat you have is not about numbers. It's about how you look and how you feel. Ultimately those will be the determining factors. For more information, go here --> http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/01/02/healthmag.measuring.body.fat/index.htmlBig kudos for losing the fat but be careful to not overshoot your goal only to find out you've developed an eating disorder. My Chinese mantises are 9 days old. When can I expect the first molt?

My ooth of Chinese mantids hatched on July 9th (they're 9 days old). I've release all but 3 of them. When can I expect the first molt? Also, it is okay that they are on a diet only consisting of flightless fruit flies? I don't want them to be malnourished. It's somewhat difficult to find clear answers on Google...They're pretty small and I am having trouble finding anything in the wild that seems appropriately sized for feeding.

A mantis will stop eating a day or 2 (sometimes more) prior to its molt. Do not be alarmed if one day your mantis is chowing down on a cricket and the next it refuses its food, it's simply getting ready to shed its skin. Mantids molt every 2-3 weeks as babies and the time in between each molt increases as they get older so their last molt into adulthood can sometimes take as long as 3-4 weeks. It takes about 7 molts for females and about 6 for males. That's why males tend to mature earlier than females and they also die faster. During molts, it is vital that you do not disturb them. The mantis will hang upside down from a branch or the screen lid and will sometimes shake or spasm violently. Then after a while, it worms out of its old skin and will hang out to dry. Once it's dried, it will resume eating and being its normal self after a couple days. To ensure their safety, mist them every day while young nymphs to prevent any blockade during molting. The Chinese Mantis should be kept in a terrarium roughly 3x its body size. The Chinese Mantis is an aggressive carnivore that will tackle and eat large insects. The Chinese Mantis' diet consists primarily of cockroaches, moths, butterflies, grasshoppers, crickets and spiders. At the first instar, Chinese Mantids will eat Drosophila melanogaster and similar small flies. As they grow larger, Mantids will accept House Flies, Blue Bottle Flies and small roaches.Mantids drink dew from leaves, so a gentle misting every other day is required. In the terrarium, Mantids require sticks and other foliage for climbing and molting. Mantids will thrive in temperatures ranging from 20 to 38°C. Sudden temperature changes may be fatal.

I dance Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Saturday... 12 hours all together. I horse ride Monday and do extra excersizing at home Monday Thursday Friday and Saturday. Thinner thighs: walk/run more (I''ve done this three years straight. works well for me)
Flat stomach: curl-ups (My friend does this and has a flat stomach >< (im envious) )
Weight: Always always eat properly. In other words, don''t ever skip meals. Try fruits: I like oranges or tangerines...
**I am not advertising** Try 1-shape made by only natural ingredients. It''s not a drug so you don''t have to worry about having to much of it. It is a powder mix you drink and will help you lose weight easier. It isn''t well known so if there is anyone out there who would like to try, you can. My mom says its pricey but worth it. I believe this because my mom lost 10 lbs in (i recall) 2-3 months. but she gained it back by eating more again -.- anyways, if u want to use tht u should just use one bottle (the packets r in bottles. there r 2 each bottle. dnt drink all at once. there is a box holding it tho) enough said. good luck ^-^

9 Essential Tips To Lose Weight Fast

Recommended Answer:
Height: 5ft. 6in
First baby: Pre-preg. 122lbs, gained about 29 lbs, took me 2 months to lose the weight...
Second baby: Pre-preg. 122, gained about 72 lbs, took me 3 months to get to 129 and that''s about where I''ve stayed for the past year and a half

Breastfeeding really helped with losing the weight, as did eating really healthy and getting the right amount of calories. If you''re having a baby and worried about it, or had your baby and worrying about it, don''t be! Take your time and do it the healthy way that way you feel good and are healthy for your baby. The body during pregnancy goes through a lot, and stretches great lengths sometimes, so give yourself a break and don''t step on a scale. Base your progress on getting back into those cute pair of jeans!

  • 0 pounds. My child appeared in my hands.
  • about 25 pounds with the first baby. About 30 pounds with the second baby. I''m 5''8" and my weight before pregnancy was about 130 lbs. It probably took a couple of months to be roughly the same, but most women don''t lose all the weight until they stop nursing.
  • I was about 5''6 and 245 pounds when I got pregnant. (I know *sigh*)
Down to 204 pounds from 2 months - 5 months.
Up to 224 when I went to the hospital for her to be born.
Back down to 201 at our first checkup.

The day I found out I was pregnant, I was no longer in "my body". It was "our body" and I saw taking care of myself as the first step to caring for my baby. Morning sickness made that first 41 pounds drop off quickly. But determination to grow my baby in as healthy of an environment as possible kept my weight down.

    ....
heyhey - You sound like nursing keeps the weight on. But my dr said it helps your body recover faster (including returning to your pre-pregnancy original weight) Of course, it makes sense that you would keep a little extra weight while nursing. I just want to make sure nobody gets confused and sees it as a bad thing.
  • With my two previous pregnancies, I didn''t make it to term so I didn''t gain much weight at all. It never took long for me to lose the weight.

This pregnancy (32 weeks currently) I''ve gained about 29 lbs. I was 115 lbs. prior.

    **I''m 5''6", btw.
  • First baby, lost 25 lbs. Gained 20 back. Smallest I ever been when I gave birth

    Baby 2: -prepregnancy weight: 115lbs
    -gained 25lbs
-lost it all and more by 3 months
-my daughter is 3 and a half and I was back up to my pre-pregnancy weight (122lbs) about 6 months ago - I lost alot of weight.

I was at 175 about 9 months after having her and decided to go on a diet....For the first time ever in my life.

Now my weight runs between 155 and 160.
  • Not sure about my height... maybe 156cm. My pre pregnancy weight was 47 kg and after I gave birth I could fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans straight away. I was all baby and extra fluid.
My son is now three and a half, I''m 21 and I''m about 50 kg.

How to Lose Weight Really Fast in 3 Easy Steps

Turn on music and dance like wild. Let your hair down once in a while. Go back to the days of wild childhood. Close the door of your room, turn on your sound system to the highest volume possible (but a little lower than the level at which your neighbors start to complain) and then do the wackiest dance that you can think of. Jump on your bed and jump off it again. Roll all over the floor. Pretend that you are Michael Jackson or Madonna (you will never see them keeping still) and do ever boogie move that you know.

  • just watch your portions. eat healthy, exercise, and done!
  • Read your question...

Get off your butt and exercise and eat right.

    It's that easy.

Stay away from sweetened bottle drinks, especially sodas. Hey all those colas and fizzy drinks are sweetened with sugar and sugar means calories. The more you can cut out on these sweetened bottle drinks, the better for you. So if you must drink sodas, then stick to diet sodas.
