How to Lose Weight With Pilates

Recommended Answer:

You will need about five months to lose 42 pounds of fat if you lose at the rate of two pounds per week. That's a lot of fat in a short time but it's doable while still eating healthy. You may lose more if you include water weight and if you're obese. The key to fat loss is not exercise, it's diet.Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet. Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn but you can't always burn as many as you take in.Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success. An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.Diet for fat loss. Exercise for fitness. To find out how the best minds in nutrition in the world (at the US NIH) have recommended for decades we lose fat, read my answer about how to lose fat --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As615QJM4X_3ID9_05qmmlXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20111028185603AAVcP4D You must make your own food selections. You have a USA Yahoo account but you're obviously not in the US...probably the UK. And, if you just want to burn calories, walking is a good way so walk and walk far. You can walk as often as you like as long as you allow yourself one day of rest per week minimum and don't abuse your feet and joints. Losing fat is not a difficult process in theory. However, the obesity rate prove it's a very difficult process in practice. The secret of fat loss is finding food items you enjoy that will keep you well nourished and feeling full without going over your BMR ( http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html ) in daily calories. There is one cardinal rule of dieting (and thermodynamics) and that is: As long as your daily energy output exceeds your daily energy intake, you have to burn from your body (fat or lean tissue). How to Create a Meal Plan to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

You don't eat as much as you think. Up the carbohydrate and fat intake, those are the most dense foods calorically. Do that with healthy fats and carbohydrates, this is not permission to go on a McDonald's bender. Then you need to start lifting heavy goddamn weights. Squats, deadlifts, and presses. That should work.

Other Answers:

  • become a coach potato
  • You need to eat large portion at least 6 times a day. 7-8 am = Bread, Eggs, Milk and a Fruit.12 pm = Eat Carbs. Rice, Spaghetti, etc3-4 pm= banana or apple, some fatty food like mc-donalds7pm = Again eat Carbs. Rice, Spaghetti, etc10pm-11pm = Eat carbs but in small quanity than all the other meals. Maybe a bowl of rice and beans or chicken. You also need to eat a lot of meat.
  • you just stop excerising and as much............. and eat just as much. but dont eat takeaways too much cause ull just get unhealthy
  • To gain weight you need to combine protein foods with starchy carbohydrates as indicated below. Good weight gaining combinations are bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes or sweet potatoes combined with meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts or sea food. Peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches are good weight gaining combinations. The protein in the above combinations will help to gain extra muscles.
  • WORK OUT. I have the SAME exact problem but I'm a guy. I used to be like 110 but went up to 120 after I started crew. Then I quit crew and started lifting and I'm on track to do 130 soon. Since your a girl you should try to tone your muscle. Also if you want to gain weight you should up your calorie intake. For people like us we need to eat lots more than others do. It's not that we can't gain weight it's that we just need to eat more. (I struggle with this too, mainly because it's hard to eat more than 3000 calories without being stuffed).

How to Lose Weight in Your Cheeks

Recommended Answer:

Less weight than if you try to exercise or eat less. I'd say stick to 1,200 calories AS YOUR MINIMUM daily intake of calories. Anything below this and your body goes into "Starvation mode" meaning it clings onto fat and your metabolism slows down. If you're worried about it. Try having half of your plate be veggies and the other half be split between meat/carbs/dairy. This will reduce your calorie intake without forcing your body to go through such a drastic change. Try to do a little walk around the block once or twice a day to kick start your weight loss. Remember less than 1,200 calories makes your body slow down the rate with which your burn fat!

  • 20 pounds but you could die bra bra so i suggest you get naked
  • youre not gonna lose any weight from just one day. it took about 2 weeks for me to drop 15 lbs this way , but when you lose weight this way you gain it back very quickly once you start eating again & usually end up weighing more because your body will store the fat thinking that you might not feed it again soon .
  • Sweetie, if you lose weight without exercising, you will appear pretty much the same or worse because you won't have muscles. Therefore you will have flabby skin. That's how anorexia starts.
  • None. If you starve yourself you'll gain weight. I'm not joking either. It's because your body stores fat because it doesn't know when it will get food again. You need to eat at least 1200 calories and drink 8 glasses of water (you really don't need more water than that). By the way, I know firsthand that you'll gain anything you lose back/will gain more than you lost. I used to starve myself. Now I'm getting into healthy eating. Just don't do it.
  • You left out your age and sex. If you're a boy, you will continue growing taller thruout your teens.Girls don't achieve their full height until they're about 13. You don't lose by starving. Your body will simply cling to every morsel and calorie because it wants to survive. In just one day, you might lose 2 lbs. Here's a good low-carb food/exercise plan:Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine. Fruit smoothies. Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it. Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers. Avoid junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar), gluten, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (it's lard + chemicals), soda (loaded with toxins), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells) and coffee (carcinogenic). No oil except olive and mac nut. To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, unsweetened veggie and fruit juice.Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches. For more energy, take Super B complex.
  • In one day you wouldn't really lose much of anything. However, if you decided to starve yourself to lose weight keep in mind as you shed all that weight off your major organs such as your heart and your brain will shrink, your bones will become brittle and eventually you will develop osteoporosis, you will grow thicker hair all over your body such as the arms, torso, and legs; your teeth will become brittle and fall out, the hair on your head would become much thinner, and if you haven't been admitted into a hospital by then you will eventually enter multiple organ failure, where there is not much hope of survival. You say you know it is unhealthy, but I don't think you understand the extent of how unhealthy it really is.

I have a few questions about birth control?

I'm a 21 year old woman who is sexually inactive at the moment, so I really have no use for birth control to prevent pregnancy. I talked to my doctor about birth controls and she said it might just be a miracle pill for me because I have such persistent acne and very heavy, painful periods. But there are side effects for birth control... as much as I want to take it, of all things I do not want to gain weight, I am terrified of gaining a lot of weight. My whole family is quite over weight and I am not far behind, much more and I'd really be fat. Is there a way to avoid this side effect? Maybe there are pills that don't seem to has this side effect? Is there a certainty that I won't have to worry about acne and heavy periods on any pill or does it very brand to brand, woman to woman? I might have to go talk to my doctor again about some of this, but anything you know would be very helpful, thank you.

How to Lose Weight Fast with High Protein Food

Recommended Answer:

I am also 21 and although I am sexually active, the main reason I began taking the pills were for the exact same reasons as you. It has cleared my acne almost completely and my periods are much lighter and regular. I used to have cramps that caused me to have to stay home from work when it came and now I have no discomfort at all. As far as weight gain, I know how you feel, I also have a fear of it. All birth control have a possibility of weight gain and there really isn't a way to know if it will until you give it a shot. I will say that I gained weight in my breasts, but that is about it. You should give it a try and see what works for you. Just let your doctor know about your concerns for weight gain and he/she should be able to pick out something that is less likely to do that. Good luck. :)

Other Answers:

  • ask your ob/gyn about the birth control that is in-planted into your arm so you don't have to take it on a daily basis.
  • I've been on it for two months and haven't gained any weight! I read that it doesn't really make you gain weight per say, but it can make your body retain water that will make you feel a little larger. If you want birth control to relieve you from acne and painful periods, I'd definitely do it. The side effects are minimal (especially a low-dose pill like Alesse 28), and they go away after the first 3 months. :) Don't worry about it, it'll help you more than hurt you!
  • Honestly, birth control affects all women differently. Two women can be on the same kind of birth control and both have completely different side effects. You won't really know how it will affect it until you try it for yourself.I wouldn't worry about the weight gain though. If you do get that side effect, it might be like 5-10lbs of water weight and it will come off. It's not like you're going to put on 30lbs just from taking it! The only thing that got bigger when I started birth control were my boobs!
  • I've been on birth control ever since I was 16 (I'm now 23) because of very irregular and painful periods. I had to be rushed to the hospital once because the pain I was feeling was so damn scary. So, I started being on the pill and I noticed no side effects. I didn't get fat, I didn't have any emotional drawback, I just take my pill and rock on.I have to admit I know a girl that got on the pill and started gaining weight. I also have a dear friend that can't be on the pill because it got her very depressed. It all depends on you and the pill. I would never trade my good ole pill for anything else, because I'm too scared of the pain I felt when I wasn't on meds. Aaaaand: once you get a partner you can feel safe.
