Is a size 12, 13, 14 fat for a 15 year old girl?

I've been dealing with body issues my entire life. I've never found myself physically attractive and always absolutely hated my body. I got over a eating disorder a little over a year ago and unfortunately I gained weight. In stores like American Eagle i'm a size 12, Hot Topic 13, H&M 14, the size differs you know, but usually like a 14. I've grown to dislike myself like I did before. I hate everything about me and its like no matter what I do to lose weight, it seems like its not working. Being 5'7 and not having a good body horrifies me. I'm around 149 pounds and I just can't stand myself. I'm afraid no ones ever going to like me or wish to be friends with me because I'm not extremely small. Am I fat?

How to Eat Carbs and Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

You're only 19 lbs over which you can lose in just 2 months. Here's a good low-carb food/exercise plan:Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine. Fruit smoothies. Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it. Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers. Avoid junk food, fast foods, gluten, pastries, desserts, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (it's lard + chemicals), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells).coffee (carcinogenic). no oil except olive and mac nut. Sodas (loaded with toxins; leads to stroke, obesity, kidney damage, high BP and inhibits bone growth in kids), anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar, it wreaks havoc on your liver, mucks up metabolism, impairs brain function, makes you more susceptible to heart disease and diabetes), To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, veggie juice, unsweetened fruit juice.Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches. For more energy, take Super B complex. Try appetite suppressants.

Is running 3.5 miles almost every day good or should I rest more?

I have been running around 3 times a week on the beach for 3.5 miles each time but I am now trying to lose weight. I started a diet and now I am trying to work out more by running. I ran yesterday and today my usual routine and feel pretty good, but if I step up my workout by almost doubling the amount of time running per week, is that okay? I don't feel anything wrong, I just want to know if I should gradually work my way up to about 6 times a week or if I can just go ahead and do it every day.

If you want to put on weight, you should work out, to insure that youput on muscle and not fat. Healthy weight gain, just like healthyweight loss, takes time and requires a conscious effort to apply goodhabits.Recommended Ways to Gain WeightHave meals with the right balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and theright kinds of fat (such as unsaturated and monounsaturated fats, olive oil, canola oil, pistachios, almonds and walnuts). Heinemannsuggests the following ratio: 60%-70% carbohydrates, 10%-15% protein, and a small amount of fat.Eat foods higher in calories, vitamins, and minerals, as opposedto higher in fat or sugar. Pack more nutritious calories in eachserving. For example, you may add grated cooked eggs to mashedpotatoes, ground chicken to soups and gravies, cheese in casseroles, eggs, and soups, and nonfat dried milk in soups, shakes, milk, andmashed potatoes. If you get too full too fast, try having more high-calorie foods orslices of foods as opposed to consuming the whole thing (raisinsversus grapes, granola and Grape Nuts versus corn flakes, mango slicesversus the whole mango).Limit drinking beverages to a half-hour before and after a meal.Drink mixed juices (apple/berry, peach/orange/banana as opposed to onejuice beverages) for a higher calorie intake. With moderation, you mayadd in good fat sources to meals such as nuts, avocado, olives, andfatty fish (salmon and mackerel).Snack in between meals. Nuts, dried fruits, and yogurtare good options, but it's also important to find nutritious foodsthat you will enjoy. Have a nutritious snack before bedtime, such as apeanut butter sandwich.

  • Maybe work out and build muscle
  • eat cheese
  • Honestly buddy, don't try too hard to gain weight until you're about 16, when you can start taking protein, creatine, and lift heavy. You'll just stack on fat if you try to now. Besides, it's too hard at your age. Your metabolism is burning like a wildfire, just burning everything you eat.I'm not trying to persuade you not to work out or eat healthy, but at your age, you should just be creating a good foundation for when you do want to bulk up. Just do lots of bodyweight exercise and lift some light weights. Don't lift weights over your head yet, as they can compress your spine and possibly stunt your growth. Don't try exercises such as military press or dumbbell press until you're at least 16.Good luck!
  • To gain weight you need to combine protein foods with starchy carbohydrates as indicated below. Good weight gaining combinations are bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes or sweet potatoes combined with meat, poultry, eggs, cheese, nuts or sea food. Peanut butter sandwiches and cheese sandwiches are good weight gaining combinations. The protein in the above combinations will help to gain extra muscles.

Is there any way I can get a prescription for Adderall?

So, I'm 13, and I was just wondering how easy/hard it would be for me to get put on Adderall??I have taken it before, but it wasn't prescription and I really liked the way it worked for me. In the small time frame that I was on it, I know that my grades went up a lot, but once I was off it, I dropped from a straight A student, to my lowest being a B-. And it doesn't sound too bad, but I'd really like to keep my grades up where they were.I've been thinking that I might actually have ADD/ADHD, only because I have a lot of the symptoms and stuff. I know that with the doctor I had last year, he didn't even bother testing me because he thought that I just wanted the Adderall for weight loss. He told me that lots of girls my age have asked about it, but honestly, I don't want it for that! I just wanna get my grades back up and be able to focus on something and be able to finish something rather than stopping halfway through. So is there anything I could do to help my case with my situation??

How to Lose Weight Overnight

Some doctors pretty openly prescribe amphetamines like Adderall. I'm kind of hoping this comes to an end (don't worry, there will always be speed) since it causes people to get addicted and also leads to interest in abusing harder drugs. Amphetamine abuse can be a rather vicious addiction to endure. Some would argue that dexedrine is much milder than methedrine, but given enough they both lead to a similar situation.

Which Jillian Michaels DVD should I buy?

I'm not sure this matters, but I'm 19 and I've wanted to lost some weight for a long time now. I moved to a big city recently, and I hate people seeing me run so that's out of the question for me. Not too keen to join a gym or anything of the sort, so I thought about buying a Jillian Michaels workout video to start doing every day. A little time in my day, but something intense enough to work. Just running doesn't do much for me. My "problem areas" are my thighs (my jeans rip because they rub together... lovely) and my belly. My choices are "Buns & Thighs", "6 Week 6 pack" (I know I won't get a 6 pack, but it'd work those muscles which sound awesome) or "30 Day Shred". Now, I don't think I'm FAT, but I could stand to lose at least 10 pounds. I'm doing this for myself, no one else. Whenever I have extra money to go shopping, I always leave feeling upset because I hate the way I look in nearly everything I buy.So if you know anything about these, if you've tried them, tell me your opinion!! :) Thank you!

How Can I lose 30 - 40 lbs? Quick?

Hey guys I really want to lose some weight. I want to try the After Burn effect because I hear it's really good. What do you guys think about doing that? I plan to do some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts because I hear those are ideal for triggering the after burn effect. I eat healthy, I guess. In the morning I eat cereal (Frosted Flakes, Cheerios etc.) with 2% milk or lactaid milk, then for Lunch, I'll have a normal meat;cheese sandwich and for dinner, my mother mixes it up everyday, so there's no telling what I'll eat. And for the last 3 weeks or so, I've been drinking so much water, I'm drinking water as I'm typing this lol. But that's how my daily meals are like?.I expect this to take about 2 to 3 months to fully lose the desired 30 - 40 pounds. I can't lift heavy weights because it'll stunt my growth. How can I accomplish this? Here are my stats ~ Age: 13Weight: Around 155-160 lbsHeight: 5'5 going on 5'6Can someone please help? Please?

How to Lose Weight With Portion Control

Recommended Answer:

I'm done with my weight loss journey and completely happy with how I feel and how I look right now however losing weight is a challenge for anyone and even losing 5 pounds and keeping it off isn't an easy task. Also I bet you didn't know that 5 pounds of fat is about the size of 8 cheese burgers? That alone should be enough to make anyone want to get on the ball and start a change for the better. Weight loss can be really easy to learn but the problem is nobody wants to put the required effort that is needed to actually do it, instead people continually look for (easy) ways to do it. If there was an easy way to lose weight I don't think 35% of Americans would be obese. There was a time when I also wanted to lose weight and was tired of starting diets only to lose motivation and give up just a few weeks later after seeing no results. However, let me tell you it is literally one of the easiest things you will ever learn once you find a good and reputable place to learn it from and I say that only because the world is filled with magic diet pills, liquid flush diets and a thousand other quick fixes that promise xx pounds of weight loss in the first week and even though it is impossible they know you're going to do it because your desperate. I have probably tried every diet pill, liquid flush diet, and ab rocket machine known to man and have had no success with any of them nor do I know anyone that has ever had any success with them. I have also tried starving myself which works very well for the first few weeks' right before your metabolism comes to a complete stop and eating just the tiny bit makes you gain weight and you end up weighing more than you did before you started starving yourself. Companies promote weight loss to make money not to get people healthy again and that's because they know you're not going to be a customer and buy their products if you're no longer fat. http://fatloossfactor.com is a site I want you to go to when you have 10 or 20 minutes to spare and I want you to sit down and watch his video on weight loss. He helps people every day to lose weight I have never seen someone as committed as him and that will go so far out of his way to help someone. His weight loss program is one of the best I have ever had the enjoyment of doing and it is without doubt the best success I have ever had with any weight loss program. I also couldn't be happier with my body right now and I have never felt this wonderful in my whole life. In the end you just got to remember to stick with it and stay confident in yourself and in no time you can achieve the results you have always wanted. It's not hard to lose weight but most people have a hard time staying motivated and 9 times out of 10 it was because they weren't really committed from the beginning. Anyways I hope I helped you and I hope you make the commitment to change your body and life. Remember it's not easy to take the first step but you did, you're here right now taking it and the rest of the steps will fall into place. Have a wonderful day.

  • I think at your age that would prob be a whole lot. Many people start eating a raw vegan diet and lose a lot. Perhaps that will be helpful for you.
