How to Lose Weight Without Counting Calories

Recommended Answer:

For Diet: First, you must watch your diet and eat real, healthy food. Meaning no junk/fast food, candy, sweets and no processed, canned and microwaved food. You can allow yourself a tiny tidbit like every two weeks so don't feel guilty. It may actually make you feel more motivated. Ignore the late-night snacks after 7pm and no-carb rules. They make no sense. And every time you reach for a candy or soda, ask yourself if that is really what your body needs. Swap with a fruit or some unsweetened iced tea. They make you feel more fuller and have much less calories. Also eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. They keep your metabolism more busy. When it comes to cooking, steaming, roasting, baking, stir-frying and occasional grilling are examples of healthy cooking methods. Deep-frying, pan-frying, BBQ-ing, microwave in plastic and grilling with charcoal are a big No. Avoid dressing or any kind of sauce for your salad and food. And breakfast MUST be eaten everyday in the morning because it's the most important meal of the day.For Exercise:When exercising at the gym or home, do both cardio for fat burning and strength training for toning. Listen to music/audio books so that you don't feel bored. A workout is about 25-60+ minutes long. Workout right after you wake up is what I recommend. Your body will be forced to use your fats as energy as the body have already digest everything you ate yesterday. Have at least one day of rest for each week. It will give your body time to heal after a sweaty and tired week.In general, an effective weight loss workout routine might look something like this:- HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) 2-3 x per week (no more than 4 times a week, as the body needs to heal from this kind of intense training)- Lower intensity, steady state cardio on remaining days of the week, aside from 1-2 rest days- Strength training for the upper and lower body 2x a week each, or 2-3 total body strength sessionsTips:Find out your daily calorie intake and what is your ideal body weight. That way, you have a goal in mind and can stick to it. Find a motivation for you to stick to your weight loss plan. Like think how good you would look in that sexy bikini or cool shirt that is two size smaller than your original one. Record everything you eat including calories and did as in exercises and workouts in a notebook. Set realistic goals. Ask your family or friends to join you. That way, it won't be so lonely. And they get to benefit from it too. To reduce overall body fat, you need a combination of cardio, total body strength training, and a clean diet (lots of fruits, veggies, lean protein, whole grains & healthy fats). You don't need specialty shakes, powders, pills, etc. They are just a waste of money. Just hard work and have the discipline to eat healthily. Others:On your rest day, stock up on protein and vegetables. And rest days DO NOT mean cheat days or binge days. Minimize the carbs because you are not using as much energy as you did in the past six days. But rest days also don't mean doing nothing. Just take a walk around the neighborhood or do a few easy 5-10 minute toning workouts. The best is to go grocery shopping or house cleaning. That way, you, your fridge and the house will be ready for the next heart-pumping week.If you have a binge, don't worry. Everybody needs to break off for a while and give in to temptation. Don't beat yourself over it and feel guilty. Also, don't kill yourself exercising and eat 100-200 calories the next day. Just eat normally and exercise as usual. In 2-3 days time, your weight will be the same again. To prevent it, paste post-its on the fridge door that says things like, "Don't Binge When You Open Me". And wait for 10 minutes when the temptation raise. It would likely be gone by then. Have a cheat MEAL once a week. That way, you have something to look forward to and the meal can keep your binging at bay.Recommendations:Check out http://www.fitnessblender.com/ and http://www.nowloss.com/. They have calculators, calorie tools, exercise tips, healthy recipes and workout videos, most you can do at home, all for free. Good luck :)

  • I have always had issues with my weight and have been to dietitians, tried different diets, and even 24 hour drinks to lose weight fast. These are only temporary solutions. I lost 20 pounds in a month just by eating healthier 3 to 4 days a week. That's it. I hate veggies, water, and fruits. That was what I was missing, so I added it to my diet every week and will continue from now on. I not only am losing weight but the pain in my stomach and feet have disappeared, and my energy level has increased. No more headaches and no more bloating. Discipline is the key and research your own diet solutions. Know your food and know what you need then eat what you want as a reward for success. Your body needs the right food to stay healthy and energetic. Good luck.

Did I do enough today?

Okay so I am trying to lose weight...I''m 5''9 and 135 pounds but I want to get down to 115-120.

I ate: (all vegan, from a vegan cafe)
-large plate of mashed potatoes (at least 3 scoops)
-three triangular pieces of apple-baked tempeh
-gravy on top of half, peanut sauce on the other half
and...
-one piece of Dove chocolate
-zip fizz energy drink (10cal)

For my workout, I did:
-30min on elliptical (low intensity, higher speed)
-20min jogging on track
-20min walking

Do you think I burned off that meal? I''m worried...especially about how many calories were probably in that lunch...

Lose Weight Fast - How NOT to Lose Weight Fast!

Recommended Answer:
Vegan does not mean that every food choice that remains is healthy, nutritious, or even good for weight loss. What you listed for today does not look good regrettably.

- potatoes = starch/carbs, not very nutritious either. Let me put it this way, endurance athletes (e.g. marathoners, triathletes, etc.) that do not eat grains, eat potatoes as their go-to replacement for carb loading. I do not know how much is a scoop, but anything more than one scoop sounds like overdoing it. That is not to say you should restrict what you eat, but instead I think you should eat something else as well during this meal (no vegetables are listed, or fruits).

- tempeh = awesome choice, I do not know about the quantity because I am not familiar with the portion size and the cafe you are talking about, but certainly good for protein and fiber.

- most gravies are basically nutritionless, peanut sauce must have peanuts in it which are great but only in moderation. Bear in mind that all nuts (although peanuts are technically legumes) are high in fats, and even though they are healthy fats, you have to balance your intake. I am guessing tons of sugar is in this though. Watch out for sodium too.

- the darker the chocolate the better, but candy is candy.

- I do not know what that drink is, but if you want to lose weight it is easier to cut out carbonated beverages.

What matters here is not just calories, what matters is a lot more. I really recommend you read more about how to eat healthy if you are serious about losing weight. Your sugar and sodium intake plays a huge role in your weight management as well. If you are overweight, you can lose weight just by counting calories, but if you are regular weight (or under based on your height), you would have to be unheathily drastic in your calorie deficit. If you are one of those people who sees their weight fluctuate wildly from day-to-day, the cause is likely linked to sodium consumption. You have to watch everything, not just calories.

how much you burned depends on a lot of factors, but generally for people around your weight I would guess the following figures:

- 20 minute walking ~ 60 calories
- 20 minute jogging ~ 180 calories if you were jogging at say, 5.5 mph (which is what I always see girls running at)

- 30 minute elliptical ~ 250 calories given you had low intensity (which can only mean low resistance I guess). You know, an elliptical is really only reported to be advantageous over running if you set it at a resistance high enough to make it have an effect. Otherwise, it is more like a carnival ride than it is a workout. You can feel it when you burn more or less calories, so if it felt easy, then you did not need to use that much energy (calories are a unit of energy).

If you are on machines, do not take the numbers that seriously, even if you enter in your age and weight information, machines just have poor calculations.

I would recommend you eat more veggies, fruits, and whole, unprocessed foods if you want to take advantage of a vegan diet. Beyond that, you should be taking supplements to cover all the deficits that are just so hard to fill from just a vegan diet.

It does not sound like you burned it off. Three scoops (or a large plate) worth of mashed potatoes sounds like at least 400 calories, three pieces of tempeh are appreciable, and the not-so-secret devastators of any meal are sauces/gravies.

You did not really do 70 minutes of cardio, you did 50 minutes, I do not think walking counts when you are not overweight given how little energy it takes.

Much of what you consumed sounds like empty calories. It is the empty calories that make you gain weight, those are the kinds that are wasteful for your body, so it just stores them instead of using them for anything. That is the definition of weight gain.

  • Lay off the mashed potatoes next time. They might be vegan, they''re still not healthy no matter how good they taste.
  • Whoa whoa whoa there sweet heart. If you are trying to lose weight you shouldnt be taking in that many carbs. You need to be on a high protein, low calorie plan. I am a motivation coach and I created a 30 day challenge that will definitely help you. It free so no worries, there are no risks involved (: Go to www.YoungNhealthy.com and click on the 30 day challenge tab! I hope this helps (:
  • You did an hour and 10 minutes of cardio so you probably burned off the meal, especially if you ate it before 3pm. My concern long term is that you are not using a weight training program to assist you in burning calories more efficiently & even when you are not in the gym.

    Good day, though.

Burn more calories vs eliminating carbs?

There are two general theories to losing weight. One is that you lose fat by burning more calories than you consume. The other is that you cut out carbs because sugar triggers insulin and you gain weight. I get how the first theory would work but I''m skeptical on the latter. What if I ate only 1000 calories a day and it came from carbs. Would I still get fat? This is all hypothetical of course and am only asking for educational purposes

How to Lose Weight Teens - Modern Teens Face More Than Hormonal Changes

Recommended Answer:
The logic behind losing body weight is something along the lines of this:

How much energy you consume and how much energy your body burns is crucial. Some people burn alot of energy through simple activites as they may have a fast metabolism or in some cases an EXTREMELY fast metabolism (hyperthyroidism). A reverse example of this can also occur (hypothyroidism). This is the reason why different people require different amount of calories however generally speaking the more you move the more you burn so the more you therefore need to maintain your current weight!

Eating carbohydrates can effect weight loss but not fat loss per se, the unhealthy type of carbohydrates found in white flour and pastries etc mainly changes your body weight as it causes you to hold onto more water and as a result can cause fluctuations in WATER weight, it is only when you eat more than your body needs that your body actually starts gaining fat regardless of what you eat which brings me back to my first point, calorie restriction is vital.

Carbohydrates will not keep you full for a long time as protein would however if you consume complex carbohydrates (wholegrain bread, potatos and bananas) they will digest slowly and will more likely be used up in that long time through physical activity rather than white, refined carbs which will quickly get stored as fat. If you consume complex carbohydrates they also contain fibre which is like a huge spring clean for your digestive system and pushes the food out of your bowels faster so it therefore gets rid of water weight which is the complete polar opposite of what white carbohydrates tend to do.

Proteins on the other hand are the building blocks of our body and we need them to stay strong and healthy so you must eat them, they keep you lean and will make sure you look good..trust me! :)

Generally speaking I balance out all my carbohydrates, have abit of junk food every day and plenty of protein but the main thing I do is count my calories to ensure its all within a limit, doing this I lost 21lb :)

  • It''s not eliminating carbs that results in weight loss, its eliminating calories. A Calorie is a unit of measurement that we use to show how much energy out body gets out of a food. Our bodies all burn calories at different rates depending on what we do, but it is said on average that men around the ages of 18-25 burn roughly 2000 a day. That way, if you eat 1500 calories a day, your body needs to get 500 more calories from somewhere else. It gets these calories from from the energy it has stored up in your fat cells, which causes them to shrink, resulting in weight loss.

Your body needs carbs to live and function normally, and anyone who tells you otherwise doesn''t fully understand how the body processes them. You *can* cut them out and lose weight(as we have seen from people on the atkins fad diet), but it is not an overall healthy way to live your life.

The best way to lose weight is to both cut out the number of calories you ingest(to a reasonable amount, don''t starve yourself) and increase your physical activity level
  • Both are tru; but never try to "cut out all carbs."

There are good n bad carbs: fruit & veg vs sugary sodas, candy, etc.

Almost every food will trigger insulin output to some extent; w/o insulin the blood sugar would spike off the charts.

You couldnt get fat on a very low cal diet; you prob couldnt function well either.

If you burn more cals that you eat, there are no cals left over for the body to store. the stored cals are fat.

Why am I not gaining weight?

I've been working out and eating 2500-3000 calories a day for about two to three weeks now and have seen absolutely no increase in weight. In fact, I was waking up to about 129 pounds a week ago, and now I am only waking up to 127. This is very depressing, because I am actually putting effort into this and seeing absoluteness no progress. I would think I'd gain at least a pound by now.

I would really like to gain about 10 pounds before college starts up in the fall, so any help would be great.
I have not been having any protein shakes lately, although I have the stuff for them. Basically at the gym I try to work out "moderately". I don't do any cardio, and I don't try to stay longer than 30-40 minutes to burn the least amount of calories possible. During that time though, I try to get a good work out.

Fastest Way to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:
It seems one of the 3 things is not in order. Either you are not sleeping well and long enough, not eating enough calories everyday or you are not doing the right workout. In order to gain 1 pound of weight each week, you will need to master all 3 of it and do it diligently everyday. The starting part can be tedious and mentally draining so here are some of my personal experiences that has worked for me.

Let us start by talking about what constitutes a high calorie diet. The main thing involved is to eat a lot of carbohydrates rather than increasing your fat and protein intake during your 3 meals. Increasing your carbohydrate intake will enable your body to use the energy more efficiently rather than rely on breaking down muscles and burning fat to get you the energy you need. You will get your protein and your fat from my next diet tip which is to drink 500ml of milk in between your meals. Start with 500ml first and increase it every week until you have gained a pound or two of fat. Once you are there, you can start maintaining the amount of milk you drink and focus on the other two things which is sleep and workout.

Next, we will touch on the easiest thing to do of all in my opinion and that is to sleep. People who struggle to get enough sleep daily will find that they will not gain muscle mass and contrary, will lose weight. If you are looking to gain weight I highly suggest you to do this experiment first to know just how much sleep you need. Start by going to sleep by yourself without the influence of alcohol, sleeping pills or what nots to make you sleepy. Sleep through the night and wake up by yourself in the morning. If you can achieve this without any distractions or any drugs or alcohol, you just have to keep repeating the same amount of hours everyday. Simple.

Lastly, so many people find it hard to gain muscle mass and weight just because they do the wrong workout or jump from one workout to another before exhaustively utilize what is planned out. If you are starting out to gain weight or muscle mass I strongly encourage you to download the program off http://gohforth.com. That program has not only worked for me for years, but is also something I teach my paid clients.

  • Because its only been 3 weeks. Keep trying!
  • because its still very early.. 3 weeks is nothing at all
dont worry.. u will get there soon
    keep working harder an harder
    try whey protien an glutamine
  • How much are you exercising and what types of food are you eating? Since you weigh about 130 pounds, you burn about 1300 calories by simply being alive and breathing - this does not include exercise. If you work out vigorously, you could easily be burning another thousand or so calories, meaning that you're only adding about 300 calories to your daily diet. A pound is roughly 3500 calories - if you're only having a net gain of 300 calories a day, it'd take you over a week to even get close to gaining a single pound.

Aim to eat 3000 calories a day - you should be eating every three hours in order to keep a constant supply of food going. Focus on foods rich in protein, such as eggs, dried fruits, nuts, greek yogurt, etc. Eat plenty of pasta and whole grain bread for carbs for exercising and continue snacking ALL THE TIME. Make sure you drink at least one protein shake a day. Good luck!

Is it possible I'll loose weight if I quit smoking weed?

I'm just curious if it's possible I might lose weight if I stop smoking. I love smoking, so this is why I don't want to quit if there is no benefit out of it. I smoke usually 2 or 3 times a day. I usually eat a lot when I get home from my friends' house at like 10 at night because of the munchies. When I go a day without smoking I hardly eat anything that day. Any experiences with this?

Thank you! :)

How Thai Food Can Help You Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
If you are looking to gain around 25-30 pounds, make yourself a promise that you will not stop until you get there and I will help you get there with my experience in this area. I know how it feels being 100pounds because I was there like that too a few years ago and was often ridiculed. The thing I learn was that if you want to gain weight, you need a high calorie diet, sleep enough and do the right workout. Since you are doing a milk diet like I did in the past, let me advice how to make it work the most for you.

In terms of diet, you need to consume way more calories than you are eating right now. This does not mean junk food or fast food 24/7, but rather eating more meals which you have to plan to have more carbohydrates. My practice is to eat 3 meals a day and drink milk 3 times a day. This will ensure that you remain healthy with the benefits of protein to build muscles, calcium to provide strong skeletal structure and also enough calories to be used as a meal easily. The best thing is still to eat home cooked meals which you carefully planned out weeks in advance, but for now why not give this a try and watch the scale go up by 1-2 pounds first? My suggestion is to start by measuring your weight now. Once you have taken note of your weight, take note of the day and time when you do so because this will become the habit for you to do on a consistent basis every week to ensure that you are consuming the right diet. Once you have done that, start by drinking 500ml of milk 3 times a day first. If after a week you still do not gain weight, simply drink an additional 100ml of milk each time. Keep increasing the amount by 100ml each time until you gain 1-2pounds. Once you are there, you are ready for step 2 and 3 which is to workout and sleep well.

In order to gain muscle mass to give you more weight, you need to do an exercise which stimulates a lot of muscles so that you can produce the most growth. You will also need to do a high intensity workout which will cause the muscles to need a lot of energy fast in order to get muscle mass. One guide which does this very well is called the real natural guide to gain weight at http://gohforth.com. I found it a few years ago and have been using/teaching it since. It has not failed me so I'm certain it will produce the same results for you as it meets all the criteria of a good workout to gain muscle mass.

Lastly, sleep is the tip which is often left out. If you do not sleep well or have interrupted sleep pattern, chances are you are going to burn more calories. Coupled with your high metabolism rate and your body's need to use nutrients to repair your muscles, you will lose weight rather than gain it. A good tip I use in the past until now is to sleep and wake up by myself. This means you do not fall asleep with alcohol or sleeping pills. Similarly, you have to wake up yourself rather than be sounded awake by the alarm or the sunlight spilling into your room. I did this on the weekend so that I know the hours I need and simply replicate it everyday and my weight did go up. Remember that weight gain is a long process and you should be looking to gain around 1 pound of muscle a week, any guide out there which promises more is lying or making you gain more fat than muscles.

  • be lazy a bit... eat junk food....and large meals
  • Gym + supplements are the main two. Also include lots of protein in your diet. And in between meals, have nuts, PB sandwiches, and also whey protein shakes. After you hit the gym, make another protein shake of your choice. This can just be muscle milk whey, or creatine. Also remember to get lots of sleep.
  • Well don't eat junk food. That's the unhealthy way of gaining weight.. You need PROTEIN. Try protein bars, protein shakes ect. Beans. Meats. Breads but not to much. Milk is good. And fruits and veggies are too. Peanut butter is a great idea! I'm not professional but I do my research on all of this stuff. Hope I could help ((:
  • Drink lots of hot chocolate
  • Take a chilli dog slap it on your plate take a slice of pizza slap it on your plate a hamburger and fries then get a big gulp soda and then go home watch tv and eat away
  • brewing yeast. It has a lot of vitamin B, too. It will make you gain
weight in a week. Either buy at pharmacies, as supplement, or in any
place which specializes in brewing. Three pills a day/three tablespoons a
day - depends on the product, and you are there. Good for bones and
    hair as well.

Perfect Ways To Lose Weight

Recommanded Answer:
You should eat plenty of non-starchy vegetables - green beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, lettuce, cauliflower, asparagus, carrots, kale, etc. Ten plus serves per day.

You should also eat adequate protein and good fats - grass fed meat, fish, eggs, cheeses, nuts & seeds.

You should NOT eat any sugars or starchy foods - potatoes, rice, bread, wheat, flour, pasta, etc. This is a totally DO NOT EAT.

You can slip in fruit occasionally, but no more than one per day.

If you can do this diet you can eat as much of it as you want. You're very unlikely to be able to eat too many calories. You will have an abundance of nutrients. And you will feel full and you will lose weight (fat) in the fastest way possible. Exercise is recommended but it is optional.

  • Weight loss is not as difficult a task as most people make it out to be. Actually, it’s keeping the lost weight away that is more difficult. There are only three things that lead to effective weight loss and those are: Disease (or illness), proper diet planning, and exercise.

Now, exercise need not scare you away. It is not like you have to pump iron like Arnold; it’s more about adopting a healthier lifestyle that includes healthier eating and doing some exercise to spruce up the metabolism. If you want to lose weight in 20 days, follow the tips we mention here and see the results yourself.

Start with adopting healthier eating habits. By this we mean eat a lot of protein, have a healthy cereal breakfast every morning, drink a lot of water and juices and cut down on fats and, carbohydrates – and remember, drinking alcohol in any form is an absolute no-no when it comes to weight loss.

Tip: stop eating when you are still hungry. It takes the brain 10 to 15 minutes to know that the stomach is full.

Take to cardio – intensive alternating cardio. This is a form of cardio where you do some intense exercise such as running uphill for 20 seconds and then walking down slowly. Walking down slowly will allow your heart rate to return to normal before you run uphill again. All you need is 20 minutes of this exercise per day if you want to lose weight in 20 days.

The system finds it difficult to burn protein. If it finds protein in your intestines, it will turn to the stored fats to sustain the body’s energy requirements. So, eat a lot of protein and drink a lot of water along with your cardio if you want to lose weight in 20 days.
  • Losing weight too fast is terrible because you get saggy skin.... eww.. But if you want to lose weight fast, eat 1,000-1,500 cals a day not any less because if you do you'll lose muscle instead of fat. Muscle is what tones you and you'll look even fatter with less muscle. Exercise for about 2 hrs a day. You could spread it out throughout the day. Drink A LOOOOOT of water. It gets rid of water weight, it makes your skin look healthier, cleans your system out and etc. Water is the best thing on this earth for you. Eat more fruits and veggies, you could even mix it with you meal. Only weigh yourself once a week because you'll be a nervous wreck if you weigh yourself everyday. If you decide to do that, just know your weight will fluctuate. It just does, it's best to do it once a week.
  • I found that starving made me lose weight initially but as an average person I couldnt handel it and started binging, freaked out then worked my butt off exercising

U decrease ur calorie intake, and exercise. Even walking counts. EVERYTHING COUNTS

Can anyone help me find out what I need to do to lose weight?

Okay so I'm right around 5'3 and 160lbs. That sounds overweight but I have a large chest and overall it's pretty evenly dispersed so I don't look big. But I know that I would really like to lose weight. I would like to lose anywhere from 15-30lbs. I know this is a lot and will take work but I don't even know where to start. Could anyone give me pointers on what kind of diet and exercise plan I should give myself for maybe the first month, then what I should do the 2nd? I don't have money for a gym or personal trainer but I do have weights and I can run.

Recommanded Answer:
Hi, last year my weight was almost 80kg, at 5months I lost about 15-17kg while becoming leaner (also increased muscle weight). Now I'm down to 59kg, at 5'6" in height. What I did was take away all temptations such as sweets, junk food and oily foods. Increase foods rich in protein and low on carbs such as fish, chicken breast, tofu, I ate lots of veggies. I did not limit food intake; in fact, increased it.

I do water therapy (drink 3 glasses of water after waking up), then do 30mins of jogging and 30mins of rigid taebo everyday.

I wanted to give up at first, but soon my body sought after the feeling of getting warmed up and sweating every morning. I suggest buying sweatshirts made with 100% polyester to sweat faster. don't push yourself, instead build up gradually.

  • herbalife babyyyy
  • You don't need money or a gym. You can lose 40+ lbs in a year if you stick to this:

    1) Join sparkpeople.com! Who needs weight watchers when you can do this for absolutely free? They also help you count your calories (they tell you how many you can have based on your current weight and goals) and give you free daily menus. On top of that they have forums and groups for motivation, free recipes, some free fitness vids and cooking vids, free calorie burn tracking, free progress tracking, everything you need to succeed! Just start eating the highest amount they allow you to and reduce by about a 100 calories every month until you get to the lowest they allow. Then stay there until you reach your goal.

    2) Go on Youtube for free workouts! BeFit (you can start with jillian michaels 30 day shred on here!), FitnessBlender and Zuzka Light Channels are all great with free full length workouts! Also just search types of workouts you're interested in and you will find even more full lengths. Youtube is great. You can also go to bodyrock.tv! Most of the vids don't require equipment and the ones that do only require light weights or resistance bands + yoga mats which is reasonable. All of this can be done in your living room or bedroom. Workout 4-6 days a week depending on how much you can.

    3) Also walk everyday 3-5 miles. This isn't really exercise but it will burn a lot of calories overtime and its something normal, healthy and active people do! You can track your calorie burn and milage for free on your phone with the app cardio trainer.

    Good luck.

Can you lift same amount of weight if you lose weight?

Also they say that you can't lose weight without losing muscle. True or false?

Recommanded Answer:
If you lose body fatYouc can lift the same if not more. MUSCLE WEIGHT WOULD PROBABLY BE GENERAL, not limited to 1 group.
Yes, you can lose fat without losing muscle,Whenn your bodydoesn'tt get enuf to eat it digests the fat stored for that reason, after that goes the muscle, then the internal organs.

  • If you add weight lifting and muscle conditioning to your weight loss routine, as well as have sufficient protein in your diet, you will be able to maintain your muscle mass just fine.
  • you can lift more with less weight
a 200 pound guy with 6% body fat will have bigger muscles stronger mucles then a 300 pound guy with 60% body fat.
I was 240lbs i could do maybe 5 pushups i trained hard for a year got down to 180lbs and could do handstand pushups with ease my lifting capcity was increased nearly by 5 times.
you gain muscle to burn fat.
but it all depends how you start out.
if you have only 5% body fat and weigh 200lbs and you lose 20lbs your lifting ability will go down it all depends how good a shape you are in to start.
