The Best Way to Lose Weight With Hypothyroidism
Recommended Answer:
I lost 170 lbs. in the Pool over 16 months at the beginning of my weightloss journey because I was unable to support my own body weight. I used ankle weights and wrist weights with webbed fingered gloves to create resistance as I got stronger. (Mostly walking in the therapy pool) as the weight started coming off I added in weight resistance weights, dumbbells, etc, and also swimming laps. Also you can switch to herbal or ayurvedic medicines which are very useful and will help you in losing your weight up to a great extent, these medicines have no side effects even if you take them for long time and i myself had its experience for lossing weight.Other Answers:

- Male or female? Ronnie can be either one. Here's a good low-carb food/exercise plan:Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine. Fruit smoothies. Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it. Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers. Avoid junk food, fast foods, gluten, pastries, desserts, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (it's lard + chemicals), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells).coffee (carcinogenic). no oil except olive and mac nut. Sodas (loaded with toxins; leads to stroke, obesity, kidney damage, high BP and inhibits bone growth in kids), anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar, it wreaks havoc on your liver, mucks up metabolism, impairs brain function, makes you more susceptible to heart disease and diabetes), To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, veggie juice, unsweetened fruit juice.Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches. For more energy, take Super B complex. Try appetite suppressants.
- If you truly want to lose weight then listen to this.1. Do not eat any bread, or anything that is not gluten free.- Try to limit your sugar intake.- Do not eat anything whole wheat.- Cut down on carbohydrates, and eat more foods like steak, vegetables and fruits. Our bodies are not meant to eat a seeds that have been crushed, mixed with other chemicals that we don't know about, baked, and turned into bread. Bread is bad for you.We are meant to eat meat, fruits and vegetables. During the cavemen times we roamed around picking strawberries, eating raw deer meat etc.
- First thing to work on: stop being a scale addict. You are making it so difficult on yourself to be pleased with potential results. If you step on the scale everyday, or even after every workout and every meal, you're overdoing it. Lol relax, try to put longer periods in between stepping on that scale. That way there might actually be some differences instead of that constant back and forth after every little thing. Use that motivation of when you weighed 198, you mentioned several times how surprised you were and how you felt amazing. Use that as some raw motivational power!!! I absolutely adore you for saying that you want to get healthy, not just skinny. The reason this questioned is asked so often and “abused” is because everyone is different, so different things work best for different people. You have to figure out what works BEST for YOU. For the record, I'm typing this while reading your question so you are basically getting my feedback as I read :DI've never really been overweight, but I'm in my second year of college and starting to really miss all those sports and practices in high school that kept me really in shape. However I took it upon myself to take some fitness courses in college on the side to give myself incentive to workout. I felt amazing working out everyday, but for the average person there's just not enough time for that. It's been a while since I've done anything and I just don't feel as good as I did, so today I actually went on a run for the first time in a long time which is causing me to feel super enthused about it. I've done this so many times before, though, so I KNOW that this “enthused” feeling won't last long, so I have to keep finding more motivation to keep going. I like your idea about finding support, having people supporting you and also people who are going through positive changes along with you could definitely help. Some things that I like to call “life hacks” would be, parking a little further away (though don't do this in “sketchy” areas or at night for your safety) or take the long way to get somewhere when it comes to walking (for example, I take the many many stairs at my college instead of the elevator) stuff like that. Also, portion control is a big helper for many people, including myself. Of course eating healthier foods is best, but also eating less at a time, even if that means having more, smaller, meals instead of dominating lots of food maybe twice a day (I need to stop doing that). What I did to jump start this “health kick” that I am currently on: (Pardon me because I am very biased, because I am a distributor for the It Works company) but I use this product (completely natural ingredients, all healthy, 8+ servings of fruits and veggies, gives me tons of energy, and makes me feel less hungry/I get fuller quicker so I don't overeat anymore). It's called “Greens” and it's basically powder more or less that you add to water (or juice if desired) and drink. Simple! I drink Greens mixed with water in the morning when I get up and afternoon (not at night time because it makes me too energized/awake). Ever since I've started drinking this with water, I feel noticeably better in a lot of ways. This healthy, energizing product, can definitely help in weight loss (I've lost some weight recently)! There are also lots of other products for weight loss and other supplements that are also all natural and work very well with exercise or even just to boost your body with the daily activity you do (but still, it works best with exercise). I will stop ranting soon because I don't mean for this to be an advertisement, just a possible option to boost your health and results and all the like. I will link my company provided distributor site so you can check out some products if you'd like. The Greens (for people who become a loyal customer, which means you'll buy it for 3 months) should be 33-36 dollars including shipping. There should not be a tax because it is considered vitamin/supplements or something like that. I'd also check out Fat Fighters and/or Thermofit. Fat fighter is about 23 dollars and the thermofit is about 39 dollars. (I'm only providing this info so you can see somewhat price ranges and know now if you're even interested.) Sorry about the long answer and now basically an advertisement, I just really like these products and am really rooting for you to get healthy very fast because your question was very detailed and I can tell that you want this more than most people. Good luck, set small goals instead of one big goal and cross each off your list as you go! I'm rooting for you.http://gethealthywithalee.myitworks.com/shop/category/#65 (the link goes right to weight loss stuff where the fat fighter and thermofit are located, you can go to supplements tab as well to see these Greens that I talked about.) Long question gets long answer I suppose, haha!
- Slow down, hon.You saw for yourself on your Disney trip-- the secret to weight loss: use up more calories then you take in.That's it... that's the big secret. That's how it works. It doesn't matter what exercise you do. It doesn't matter what you eat. All that matters is the simple formula: eat fewer calories, spend more. Now certainly you'll feel better and it will be better for your body if you eat healthier foods like salads and lean meats, but even if you just ate cake and doritos all day, as long as you were eating fewer calories than you were spending you would lose weight. So don't worry about which diet to pick-- pick the one you can stick to most easily. And don't worry about which exercises to pick-- pick the ones that are convenient and you will keep up daily.Because the other part of the formula is sticking to it-- because as soon as you go back to eating more calories than you spend, you gain weight. Also, don't worry about how quickly or how slowly it happens-- the body will go through up and down stages as it re-adjusts. Just worry about it being permanent-- a lifestyle.
