How much swimming should I do?

I am so unfit and I am so over weight. I am 22 and I have a BMI of about 39. I really want to get into shape. I have tried the gym before and tried running but I give up after a week because I find it too hard(bad excuse I know) Anyway I have always loved swimming although I haven't been swimming in about 3 years but I do remember even at my size I could swim for hours and hours. So to begin losing weight I am going to start swimming again but I am unsure how much I should do how many times a week and for how long. Any advice?

  • Walking is the best and easiest way to lose weight when you find the other activities hard. Walking for an hour or two every day or every other day will make a MASSIVE difference :)Swimming is also good, but not as easy.
