How did I get so fat?

I am trying to recover. So my mom is trying to make me gain weight. Yesterday she made me eat a lot of food. I weighed myself this morning before eating anything and It said I gained two pounds!!!! In one day! (78lb, 5'1) how did I gain so much weight? My sisters always eat a lot and they don't gain anything. My mom and sisters have a fast metabolism. I honestly don't think I do. I am confused on why I gained so much when just a few days ago I had to eat coldstone and I didn't gain anything after that. Is this just water weight or am I just fat?

If you're in recovery you're going to put more weight on faster than others - you've been starving for i dont know how long, years? months? Your body is trying to hang onto all the food it can as you're putting it into your body so you have gained 2lbs but some of that will be water weight too. Your metabolism has slowed due to the lack of food you've been training your body to deal with - it doesnt think that its going to get food so it doesnt matabolise anything. Soon enough your body will adjust to the food and your matabolism will pick up
