What is an ok height for tight end or wide receiver?

I'm 5'7 200 pounds I want to try for both to see where coach would prefer me. But is this a good height and weight?

How to Lose Weight Without Getting Saggy Skin

Recommended Answer:

Based on your height and weight, as well as your strength, I believe that the best fit for you is at tight end. You have the ideal size for a high school tight end.My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this month (and every offseason) is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, into better shape, and lose some weight, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch tight end in football.

Other Answers:

  • two questions...are you fast? can you block? tight ends not only catch passes but block for running backs and protect the QB sometimes as well. weight is good but not enough against 300 lb DL min
  • I would assume TE would be better. You are kind of short to play WR, buy you have a fair amount of weight. If I was coach I wouldn't put somone that size at WR. Like the guy above mentioned, blocking is much more important at TE. You should be just fine their with that wieght and height.
  • te 6'4wr 6'2
  • depends how old are you
  • i would lose some weight and play wide receiver, wide receivers are 5-9 to 6-0 but your height is fine but that weight needs to go downtight ends are around 6-0 to 6-3 and higher, usually basketball bodies play tight end
