How to Use Honey and Cinnamon to Lose Weight

Recommended Answer:

giving it more walks and when your not home or in bed put him in a crate get a shock collar on him n when you hear him opening anything or trying to jump up on the table shock him

Other Answers:

  • Walk your dog for 30 minutes twice a day. It's helping my dog lose weight.
  • Crate train him and crate him when you cannot supervise him, if you're able to put a baby gate in the entrance to the kitchen so he cannot go in there. Don't give him human food. Feed him only his dog food(feed him for his ideal weight), start giving him daily exercise too.
  • My answer would be put your food up high where he can't reach or put those baby locks on that are easy for you to open, but impossible for him, even though you've already tried I suggest this is the best possible answer. Every time you catch him getting into the food punish him accordingly, lock him outside or in a room or something, until he stops whining/ longer each time he breaks the rule. With your leftovers just put them in the sink/ throw them out straight away and clean up so he has nothing to eat. Feed him after you and your family have eaten and don't give him food from the dinner table, only his dog food in his separate area so he learns the difference. Other than that, exercise.. Take him for long walks or a run or just throw a ball for him at least 1-2 times a day for an hour or more, since he's a big dog it will take longer to wear him out. I hope this helps and your dog is okay. :)
  • Exercise and food.Start walking him (as you already should be) and start walking more and more as his fitness improves. You could start with two 15 minute walks and work your way up slowly. All dogs need daily exercise to stay fit and healthy. Plus it should help make him tired and less likely to misbehave and search through the cupboards. As far as food goes, maybe he is lacking something in his kibble if he is constantly trying to eat other food. I'd put him on Blue Buffalo Wilderness Healthy Weight, and feed as much as the back of the bag says - going off of his healthy weight not his current weight. Expensive food but worth every penny for the high quality. Keep him away from the human food, a baby gate might work for that.
  • You'll need to dog-proof your fridge and cabinets. Child-proofing gadgets available at places like Babies R' Us might be effective. Plates will need to be monitored around the dog. He may need to be crated while you are eating. If all else fails, you will need to put up dog gates so your dog cannot get in the kitchen. At the root of this problem sounds like you have not established yourself as the "pack leader." You have a large dog, so this makes the task even more challenging. It takes patience, time devoted to training, and a kind but firm and consistent approach. I strongly advise you to go to an obedience class with your dog. They can help you establish yourself as the leader of the pack. This will go a long way in solving your dogs behavior problems that are contributing to his obesity.
